Officials told to distribute school kits to children
He said in a statement on Tuesday that in the first phase, textbooks, notebooks and dictionaries have already been distributed to students, and instructions had been previously issued to distribute the remaining items as soon as they reach 100 per cent at the mandal points.
He reiterated that the school bags, uniform cloth, shoes, socks and belts that have already reached the mandals should be distributed without delay. He said the mandal education officers (MEOs) should ensure delivery of kits at the earliest. He added that headmasters must create awareness among students to get their uniforms stitched promptly.
A video explaining the procedure for getting uniforms stitched has already been shared at the field level, he informed. Srinivasa Rao urged headmasters to ensure that students attend the upcoming Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting (Mega PTM) scheduled for first week of July wearing the new uniforms.
In order to expedite this process, district education officers (DEOs) and additional project coordinators (APCs) must issue clear instructions to all MEOs and headmasters, he said.

With recruitment on cards, UT told to fix teacher-student ratio
1 2 Chandigarh: As the UT education department prepares to recruit over 300 teaching and academic support staff, a recent review by the Union ministry of education has also underlined the need for annual rationalisation of teacher deployment across government schools. During the latest round of discussions under Samagra Shiksha, the Project Approval Board (PAB) noted that nearly 10% of elementary schools in Chandigarh continue to report adverse pupil-teacher ratios (PTRs). The board advised the UT administration to carry out routine school-wise analysis of enrolment and staff strength to ensure more balanced classroom distribution, especially ahead of the new academic session. While acknowledging Chandigarh's efforts toward filling longstanding vacancies, the board emphasised that rational deployment should be institutionalised as part of annual planning and not treated as a one-time corrective step. Officials said such data-driven reallocation of teachers can strengthen classroom delivery without the need for additional posts in every case. The timing of the recommendation coincides with the department's upcoming recruitment drive for 334 posts, including 218 junior basic teachers (JBTs), 109 trained graduate teachers (TGTs), and a few specialist positions such as resource teachers for inclusive education and MIS coordinators. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like ดัชนีทั่วโลกกำลังคึกคัก ถึงเวลาเทรดแล้ว! IC Markets อ่านเพิ่มเติม Undo Vacancy data reviewed by the department shows that of the 728 sanctioned JBT posts, 510 are currently filled. Among 647 TGT posts, 538 are filled, leaving 109 vacant. Officials say the fresh recruitment will ease pressure on existing staff, especially at the primary and middle levels. The PAB observations reflect a parallel planning priority: ensuring that available teachers are placed where they are most needed. The board also stressed the importance of using real-time data and UDISE+ indicators to guide deployment decisions under Samagra Shiksha. The UT is expected to share an update on rationalisation efforts during the next round of scheme reviews.

They should organise interactive sessions on mental health, awareness on cybercrime, anti-drug awareness messages, and child progress. Private school managements should take steps to organise Mega PTM in their other branches in the district as well, and it should be held in a festive atmosphere rather than as a formality, and schools that do not have a large space should hold it outside in a spacious area.
