Officials told to distribute school kits to children
He said in a statement on Tuesday that in the first phase, textbooks, notebooks and dictionaries have already been distributed to students, and instructions had been previously issued to distribute the remaining items as soon as they reach 100 per cent at the mandal points.
He reiterated that the school bags, uniform cloth, shoes, socks and belts that have already reached the mandals should be distributed without delay. He said the mandal education officers (MEOs) should ensure delivery of kits at the earliest. He added that headmasters must create awareness among students to get their uniforms stitched promptly.
A video explaining the procedure for getting uniforms stitched has already been shared at the field level, he informed. Srinivasa Rao urged headmasters to ensure that students attend the upcoming Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting (Mega PTM) scheduled for first week of July wearing the new uniforms.
In order to expedite this process, district education officers (DEOs) and additional project coordinators (APCs) must issue clear instructions to all MEOs and headmasters, he said.

Schools facing space problem hope to relocate
Eluru: District collector K Vetriselvi said that the Mega Parents-Teachers Meet planned by the state government should also be organised in all private schools in the district. She convened a meeting with the management of private schools at the Collectorate here on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, she said that the state government has initiated the Mega Parents-Teacher Meeting (PTM) as part of the reforms in the education sector and that the Mega PTM 2.0 programme is being organised in all government, private aided, private unaided and junior colleges across the state on July 10. The programme will be organised in 1,810 government and 558 private schools in the district, a total of 2,368 schools, and 140 junior colleges. The management of private schools should be partners in this programme to make this programme successful. Steps should be taken to ensure that the students prepare invitations for the programmes to be held on that day and send them to parents and dignitaries. First, the students should welcome the parents and dignitaries, organise a salute to the mother to convey the importance of the mother, perform cultural programmes, and conduct a photo session with students and teachers. They should plant saplings with the students in the school premises and take steps to ensure that the students protect the planted saplings for three months. Green passports would be provided to the students who plant saplings. They should organise interactive sessions on mental health, awareness on cybercrime, anti-drug awareness messages, and child progress. Workshop for high school head teachers held
The First Bell digital classes for students from Classes I to X, based on the revised textbooks, will begin broadcasting on the KITE VICTERS channel from July 9, Minister for General Education V. Speaking via video conferencing at a workshop organised by the Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE) for high school head teachers in Alappuzha, on Sunday, Mr. Sivankutty said that the digital classes had been prepared as additional support for students. The programme was held at Government Model Higher Secondary School, Ambalappuzha, as part of the Samagra Shiksha quality improvement project to introduce academic monitoring platform. Anvar Sadath said that all teachers across the State would be given training in July itself, and that the digital platform for academic monitoring and student mentoring would become fully operational in a manner accessible even to parents. The method of using the Samagra Plus portal for planning and monitoring the implementation of academic master plans was explained at the workshop. The Samagra Plus portal, developed by the KITE, includes features that enable monitoring and providing guidance from top to bottom level.
