Nothing wrong if RSS is banned: Tangadagi
Speaking to reporters here on Monday, Tangadagi said that Vallabh Bhai Patel banned the RSS.
"Persons like BJP MLC Ravikumar, who often insult women, are trained by RSS. As it often involves in communal clashes, it can be banned.
Because of it, harmony is disturbed in coastal Karnataka. It is washing the brains of only middle-class, backward community youths. No wards of BJP functionaries like Amit Shah, R Ashoka, Arvind Bellad are full-time workers. Youths of poor and middle-class families are made full-time workers," he added.
Expressing respect for Poornandapoori Swamiji of Vishwa Ganiga Trust, Tangadagi insisted that if evidence is provided for the allegations against him, he will shun politics. "Actions were taken for fund release as per the finance department's instructions. We plan to file a defamation case against the Swamiji for the baseless allegations," he added.
He noted that the Ganiga community's seer expects the immediate release of funds upon request, which he believes is not appropriate as there are rules and regulations to follow.
Regarding the topic of changing the chief minister, he mentioned that the high command has instructed not to speak publicly about it, and he is abiding by that. "We are unaware of why KN Rajanna spoke about the Sept revolution. We are also unaware of what Rayareddi said about the guarantee scheme. We will not comment on senior leaders," he asserted.
He added that promoting or demoting Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar is up to the state's people, and it is not possible just because the BJP says so. "An event for beneficiaries is scheduled in Koppal on Aug 4, with CM and DCM expected to attend. Various projects for the Koppal district assembly constituencies will be launched on that day," he informed.

CM will hold meeting on MIDC issues in Pimpri Chinchwad, says minister Misal
Pune: Minister of state Madhuri Misal on Monday said chief minister Devendra Fadnavis would soon convene a meeting to address various issues industrial units and residents faced in MIDC areas in and around Pimpri Chinchwad. Responding to concerns raised by BJP MLA Mahesh Landge in the ongoing assembly session, Misal admitted to problems in MIDC zones and said a joint meeting would be held soon at the chief minister's office in Mumbai. She said officials concerned from different government departments and representatives from industrial associations would be invited for this meeting. Landge highlighted that there were a total of 3,470 industrial units in Pimpri Chinchwad. They faced persistent infrastructure issues such as poor roads, drainage problems and unreliable power supply despite paying around Rs320 crore annually in taxes to the municipal corporation, he said. The spate of arrests and detentions of Bengali-speaking migrants in Odisha, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Haryana and Delhi — some of which are under the glare of Calcutta High Court — has prompted TMC to rekindle the "Bengali identity and pride" issue that had derailed BJP's strong Hindutva campaign in the 2021 assembly polls. "Harassment of Bengali workers is proof that this is part of a pattern of hatred towards Bengali-speaking people. Meanwhile, in Delhi, Trinamool concluded its 24-hour dharna at Jai Hind Camp on Tuesday over the inhuman living conditions faced by locals. Speaking at the conclusion of the sit-in protest, TMC's RS deputy leader Sagarika Ghose said being Bengali-speakers was the residents' only crime. "Electricity has been disconnected, there is a water problem, roads are full of slush and houses are getting flooded during rains. This is the kind of sub-human condition that these citizens are being forced to live in," Ghose said.
