King's nephew Peter Phillips engaged to NHS nurse Harriet Sperling
"Mr Peter Phillips, the son of HRH The Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips, and Ms Harriet Sperling, daughter of the late Mr Rupert Sanders and Mrs Mary Sanders of Gloucestershire, have today confirmed their official engagement," the statement said. The King, Queen and the Prince and Princess of Wales have also been informed of the announcement.
Speculation around Mr Phillips and Ms Sperling's relationship began more than a year a go when they were spotted together at social events. Most recently Mr Phillips and Ms Sperling attended Royal Ascot in June as guests of the King and Queen. The couple took part in the traditional carriage procession the Royal Family make onto the racecourse to signal the start of the day. Last month they were also present at Prince William's charity fundraising polo matches and in the Royal Box at Wimbledon last month. Princess Anne rejected royal titles for her son and his sister Zara, and they are not "working royals".

Oasis said they were 'shocked and saddened' after a fan fell to his death during their sell-out Wembley show this weekend. The man was pronounced dead at the scene after attending the concert on Saturday night. 'The stadium was busy and we believe it is likely a number of people witnessed the incident, or may knowingly or unknowingly have caught it on mobile phone video footage. 'If you have any information that could help us to confirm what happened, please call 101.' A witness told the Daily Mail: 'It was horrendous. 'The guy fell from a balcony. Paramedics came rushing over. There was a lot of screaming and shouting. 'It was a big fall. God knows how it happened. It was so tragic. I don't know how on Earth it happened. 'It was heartbreaking. He was only young.' The fall happened during the latest in a run of stadium shows for the band's sell-out Live '25 reunion tour – their first since splitting in 2009. A spokesperson for Wembley Stadium said: 'Last night, Wembley Stadium medics, the London Ambulance Service and the police attended to a concert-goer who was found with injuries consistent with a fall. 'Despite their efforts, the fan very sadly died. Our thoughts go out to his family, who have been informed and are being supported by specially trained police officers. 'The police have asked anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them. 'Tonight's Oasis concert will go ahead as planned.'

The singer is still able to hit that E7 high — holding her ear as she whipped it out for Emotions and Beautiful, backed by two female singers and a man dressed in white. There has been much speculation online about why Carey barely moves on stage — is it a corset, her tottering heels and thigh-high boots, or a health problem? Whatever the answer, she is conspicuously immobile, dazzling instead with her vocal runs and perfect smile. Besides, she had a troupe of magnificent male dancers to do the moving. They filled the stage with their breakdancing, voguing and a burlesque chair routine. For Say Somethin', her 2006 collaboration with Snoop Dogg, she had the dancers playfully touch up her make-up. It's a shame that after a show with many highs she chose to end on the rather dull Fly Like a Bird. 'One more song,' chanted a man in a Santa hat and jumpsuit with 'All I Want For Christmas' on the bum.
