Power Book III: Raising Kanan to End With Season 5 — But Is This the Final Chapter for the Starz Franchise?

Yahoo16-05-2025

Power Book III is gearing up for its final chapter — which may or may not mark the end of the Power franchise as we know it.
Starz on Friday announced that Power Book III: Raising Kanan will conclude with Season 5. The news was revealed in conjunction with the prequel series' Season 4 finale, which introduced Shameik Moore (Wu-Tang: An American Saga) as the oft-mentioned, but never-before-seen Branford 'Breeze' Frady.

'It was always my intention that Raising Kanan would run for five seasons, and thanks to my friends and partners at Starz and Lionsgate, as well as the incredible cast, crew and writing staff, I've been able to tell the entirety of the story I set out to tell way back in 2019,' executive producer Sascha Penn said in a statement provided to our sister site Deadline. 'Having said that, with the table we've set in this season finale and the inevitable introduction of Breeze, there is still an exceptionally intense and action-packed season left for the viewers to experience, and I assure you that the stakes for Kanan and the entire Thomas family have never been higher. I'm very proud of this series, and grateful that we've been able to see it through to what is an incredibly explosive and satisfying conclusion for the unbelievably loyal fans of the Power Universe.'
The original Power launched on Starz in 2014, and ended with Season 6 in 2020. That was followed by three spinoffs: Power Book II: Ghost (which aired four seasons and ended in October 2024), Power Book III: Raising Kanan (which will end with Season 5; premiere date TBA) and Power Book IV: Force (which will return for its third and final season this fall; premiere date TBA).
A fourth offshoot, subtitled Influence and centered on slippery politician Rashad Tate, was called off in 2022. Two years later, Starz announced that Origins — which would delve into Ghost and Tommy's backstories, and presumably follow the events of Raising Kanan — was in active development, though there have been no further updates as of press time.

When ‘M3GAN 2.0' Will Be Available to Stream and How to Watch

Everyone's favorite dancing robot is officially back, but has she really changed? M3GAN 2.0 is officially here and it looks like she is not the only android out here that's causing chaos. Now there's AMELIA, who is plotting an AI takeover, which we obviously don't want. So what's a girl to do? Well, you're going to want to tune in to find out. Thankfully, it's a lot easier to catch a movie than it is to take down a murderous military robot and we've made it super easy for ya! Here's everything you need to know about watching M3GAN 2.0. The M3GAN sequel was officially released on June 27, 2025. Don't worry, you don't need to build a special program or anything to try to get tickets. All you have to do is check out showtimes at your local theater to see when it's playing and check it out! But she's not dancing on the big screen forever! If you want to catch it in theaters, you're definitely going to want to tune in ASAP! Okay, so, about that... Unfortunately, the movie isn't available on streaming just yet. But don't you worry, it'll be here soon enough! Like all our favorite films, it'll be available on streaming after it leaves the big screen. While it is released by Universal Pictures, exactly *where* it'll be streaming is still a bit up in the air. Normally, that would mean it will be out on Peacock, but the first film is currently streaming on Starz. But hopefully we get an answer real soon! The one thing you can count on? You can still rent or buy it at home via online stores like Prime Video, iTunes, Fandango at Home, YouTube, or Google Play. Or if you're a huge fan, you'll also be able to buy it on Blu-ray and DVD!

P-Valley Season 3: Release date speculation, cast and plot details – Everything we know so far

By Aman Shukla Published on June 28, 2025, 19:30 IST Last updated June 28, 2025, 13:53 IST Man, it's been a minute since we last vibed with P-Valley . That Season 2 finale in August 2022 left us all kinds of shook, and now fans are itching to get back to The Pynk, that gritty, glittery strip club in Chucalissa, Mississippi. So, what's the word on P-Valley Season 3? We've scoured the latest buzz, including those X posts flying around, to bring you the lowdown on the release date, cast and plot details. Let's dive in. When Will P-Valley Season 3 Hit Screens? Starz hasn't locked in an official premiere date yet, but we've got some solid clues. Production began in April or May 2024 and wrapped in November 2024, according to multiple sources. Based on the production timeline of Season 2, which took approximately six months from filming completion to premiere, P-Valley Season 3 is likely to debut in mid-2025, maybe in July, August. P-Valley Season 3 Expected Cast The heart of P-Valley is its characters, and most of the fan favorites are set to return. Here's who we expect to see strutting back into Chucalissa: Nicco Annan as Uncle Clifford, the fierce, non-binary owner of The Pynk, ruling with heart and hustle. Brandee Evans as Mercedes, who's stepping away from the pole to build a new life with her daughter. Shannon Thornton as Keyshawn (Miss Mississippi), fighting for freedom from her toxic relationship. J. Alphonse Nicholson as Lil' Murda, chasing music stardom while navigating his public love story with Uncle Clifford. Parker Sawyers as Andre, caught between ambition and personal drama. Harriett D. Foy as Patrice, Mercedes' complicated mom. Skyler Joy as Gidget, keeping the dance floor hot. Dan J. Johnson as Corbin Kyle, stirring up local power plays. Morocco Omari as Big L, loyal to The Pynk. Dominic DeVore as Duffy, tied to the club's inner circle. Jordan M. Cox as Derrick, Keyshawn's controlling partner. Psalms Salazar as Whisper, bringing her flair to the stage. P-Valley Season 3 Potential Plot P-Valley thrives on its messy, heartfelt drama, and Season 3 will pick up where Season 2 left off. While Starz is keeping the story under wraps, here's what we're expecting based on the finale and teases from the cast: Mercedes' Next Move: After leaving The Pynk and reuniting with her daughter, Mercedes is building a dance studio. Season 3 will dig into her life as a mom and entrepreneur, but don't expect it to be smooth sailing. Uncle Clifford and Lil' Murda: Their love went public in Season 2, a bold move in a conservative town. Expect tension as they balance their relationship with Lil' Murda's growing fame and the prejudice they face. The Pynk's Future: The club's always under threat—whether it's shady investors or local politics. Uncle Clifford's fight to keep The Pynk alive will be a big focus. Keyshawn's Fight: Still trapped with Derrick, Keyshawn's journey toward independence will hit new highs and lows. Haiku's Chaos: The new dancer's wild energy is sure to spark drama, maybe clashing with Roulette or Whisper on the floor. Katori Hall calls P-Valley a 'love letter to the South's marginalized,' so expect Season 3's 10 episodes to dive deep into love, survival, and grit, all with that signature P-Valley sparkle. Matlock Duo Sing Us a Li'l Something, Rave That ‘Everyone' Now Wants to Appear on the CBS Hit — WATCH

Matlock co-stars Skye P. Marshall and Jason Ritter make a bit of beautiful music together at the top of the TVLine red carpet video above. After harmonizing a few bars and then amazingly speaking in totally perfect unison, the on-screen exes got to revisiting some of the freshman CBS hit's biggest twists. 'There were no other actors, it was just me and Kathy Bates in the room,' the actress tells TVLine West Coast Bureau Chief Dave Nemetz in the video above. 'I just had to breathe outside of that [office] door, and every time I walked in was very much, 'Don't try to nail it, just be honest. Just listen to what she's saying and respond wholeheartedly.'' As Marshall notes, 'It's the not acting, that's what makes great performances.' Matlock Boss Talks Finale's Big Reveal, If [Spoiler] Will Be Back for Season 2 View List Ritter then steps up to survey Julian's 'incredibly complicated relationship' with his father, Senior, who 1) passed Julian over for a promotion to partner 2) years after tasking him with stealing a legal document that was damning for Welbrexa, Jacobson Moore's Big Pharma client. 'As much as Senior drives him crazy, as much as he's been hurt by Senior, I think there's a part of [Julian] that still would love Senior to say, 'I'm proud of you, son,' one time,' Ritter posits. But will that longing for approval get in the way of Julian possibly allying with Olympia and Matty to pin the Welbrexa cover-up on Senior in Season 2? 'It's going to be fascinating seeing what happens next season,' Ritter ventures. 'I can't wait to see what the writers come up with.' To hear Marshall tell it, scores of other actors also would love to wield the Matlock writers' words, coming off the not-a-reboot's success as the TV season's most-watched new program. Whereas everyone, when the show was first announced in spring 2024, mocked the need for a 'reboot' of the late-1980s Andy Griffith courtroom drama, 'Now everyone's like, 'Can I please get on Matlock?!' says Marshall. 'Matlock means something completely different now, in such a short time,' she attests. Showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman 'flipped' the script on everyone, while executive producer Eric Christian Olsen, who had rights to Matlock and brought them to Urman, 'hit a lottery,' Marshall marvels. 'He built a universe for us and brought all of us together. I feel like we're the Avengers!' Want scoop on , or for any other TV show?
