The Texas Rangers have been one of the more disappointing teams in baseball.
After winning the World Series in 2023, they've fallen off a cliff. As of now, Texas looks to be sellers at the trade deadline and it could entertain the idea of trading a few valuable pieces away if the price is right.
Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter recently listed Rangers outfielder Adolis García as a potential "buy low trade target" for contending teams with holes in the outfield.

There are plenty of teams around the league who could use a slugger like García this season. The San Diego Padres, Philadelphia Phillies, Cincinnati Reds, and Kansas City Royals all come to mind.
But it might not make the most sense for the Rangers to trade him now. He has a few years left of team control, and Texas is seemingly trying to put the pieces together to win. While it hasn't worked out this year, Texas is a few moves away from contending next season.

WR Kaydon Finley chooses Notre Dame over father's alma mater Texas
Four-star receiver Kaydon Finley committed to Notre Dame over Texas on Friday night as the Irish pulled off a recruiting trick that's been virtually impossible, taking a Longhorns legacy out of the Lone Star State. Finley's father, tight end Jermichael Finley, starred in Austin before a six-year career with the Green Bay Packers that included a Super Bowl win. Finley's commitment is Notre Dame's 23rd this cycle, with the Irish haul ranked in the top five on all four major services. Finley is the second receiver in the class and could be the first of three to fall to Notre Dame this weekend. The Irish are expected to land Devin Fitzgerald on Saturday, and Brayden Robinson is scheduled to commit on Sunday. Fitzgerald is the son of legendary former NFL wideout Larry Fitzgerald, an 11-time Pro Bowler who spent his entire 17-year career with the Arizona Cardinals. Greathouse led the Irish with 592 receiving yards last season on 43 catches with four touchdowns. The Irish haven't had a wide receiver lead the team in receptions, since Claypool's senior year, six seasons ago. Claypool was also Notre Dame's last 1,000-yard receiver. Astros get Shohei Ohtani news ahead of Dodgers series
The Houston Astros are in the middle of a very strong season so far. A huge reason for their success is their two staff aces in Spencer Brown and Framber Valdez. Both will be tested when they face the Los Angeles Dodgers over the weekend. During that weekend Dodgers series, the Astros will send Valdez out on the mound on Saturday, July 5th. On the mound for the Dodgers is officially going to be Shohei Ohtani, according to Chandler Rome of The Athletic. While Ohtani doesn't go deep into games yet in his return from injury, the matchup against Valdez will be a very exciting one. Both, at their best, are among the best pitchers in the game. Advertisement This season, Ohtani has pitched just four innings, but has a 2.25 ERA and three strikeouts. In comparison, Valdez has 109 innings pitched with 108 strikeouts and a 2.72 ERA. In those starts, Ohtani had a 4.01 ERA and a 3-6 record. Across 67.1 innings pitched against the Astros, Ohtani struck out 88 batters and walked 25. He also isn't at his best as a hitter, as he has a .238 batting average and 15 home runs through 83 games against the Astros as a batter. It's the first time Ohtani will face the Astros as a member of the Dodgers, a team the Astros have a deep connection with after their World Series win in 2017.
