Man arrested after police found two lock knives in his car
Eden Police found two lock knives upon stopping and searching a vehicle and its occupant.
This was found as part of Operation Sceptre which looked to reduce knife crime with a week of action.
A spokesperson for Eden Police said: "Someone in possession of a knife is not only increasing the risk of harm to themselves, but could also face a fine of £5,000 and a four-year prison sentence."

£16,000 worth of counterfeit tobacco products seized from shop
POLICE have seized around £16,000 worth of counterfeit goods from a shop in Kirkby Stephen. Eden Police, along with the council's trading standards officers, attended the European Mini Market following reports the store was selling illicit tobacco products. They seized 404 packs of cigarettes, 235 50g packs of hand-rolling tobacco, and 158 vapes. A spokesperson from Eden Police said: "All of which were illicit or counterfeit in some way, the approximate value of the goods seized was £16,000. "Thank you to the members of the public who contributed to the seizure. "Any information or intelligence about on going crime in Cumbria is always welcome this can be reported directly to Cumbria Police or Crimestoppers."
