Haris stars as Pakistan sweep Bangladesh T20 series
The wicketkeeper-batter raised his first T20 hundred off 45 balls and remained unbeaten on 107 as a new-look Pakistan cruised to 3-197 for a seven-wicket win in the third Twenty20 with 16 balls to spare.
Earlier on Sunday, Bangladesh made 6-196, their highest total in a T20 against Pakistan, after the hosts' captain Salman Ali Agha won his third successive toss of the series but decided to chase for the first time.
Haris continued to follow Pakistan's new aggressive batting approach in coach Mike Hesson's first series as white-ball head coach. Haris hit seven sixes and eight boundaries and also became the first non-opening Pakistan batter to score a T20 century.

Pakistan had dropped seasoned pros Babar Azam, wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Shah Afridi for the series to test their fringe T20 players as a build-up for next year's T20 World Cup.
Opener Saim Ayub, who struggled in Pakistan's first two wins with scores of 0 and 4, returned to form with 45 off 29 balls and put on 92 runs with Haris after Sahibzada Farhan (one) fell in the first over.
Power-hitter Hasan Nawaz, who scored Pakistan's quickest-ever century in a T20 against New Zealand in March off 44 balls, scored 20 of his 26 runs in fours and sixes before he gave spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz (2-26) his second wicket.
Bangladesh couldn't capitalize on a 110-run opening stand between Parvez Hossain Emon (66) and Tanzid Hasan (42).
Legspinner Shadab Khan dismissed Emon in the 12th over and squeezed Bangladesh in the middle overs before fast bowler Abbas Afridi (2-26) choked the batting further in the death overs.
Afridi gave away only eight runs in his last two overs and picked up the wickets of Shamim Hossain (eight) and Towhid Hridoy (25) as Bangladesh could score only 46 runs in the last five overs and lost four wickets.
Pakistan won the first match by 37 runs and the second by 57 after Bangladesh failed to chase down identical targets of 202 runs in both games.

Shortly before kick-off, Arsenal's new signing, Swedish international striker Viktor Gyokeres, was paraded on the pitch. Gyokeres completed his move to Arsenal on Saturday night — although when the deal was actually announced, it was 2am local time on Sunday in Singapore. Gyokeres, accompanied by Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta, touched down at Changi Airport late on Sunday afternoon. Within a few hours, the striker was out on the field to meet the adoring local fans. Despite the 13-hour flight, Gyokeres looked surprisingly fresh. The question now is how quickly Mikel Arteta intends to integrate him into the squad. Arsenal have the final friendly of their tour against Tottenham in Hong Kong on Thursday, July 31 — will Gyokeres be ready to have some involvement? Arsenal have signed Gyokeres for an initial £55million, but they have another centre-forward who cost £65m when he joined from Chelsea in 2023: Kai Havertz. The German international started this friendly in the No 9 position and impressed with two good assists (Havertz's driven cross was turned into his own net by Newcastle's Alex Murphy). Gyokeres' arrival increases the competition for places, but it's difficult to imagine anyone simply brushing Havertz aside: when the former Chelsea forward is fit, he tends to play. Advertisement Perhaps Arteta will embrace more rotation next season. Havertz is coming back from a hamstring injury he suffered in February — one that might have been avoided if he'd been afforded more rest. A bulked-up Havertz took a buffeting in this game before being withdrawn on the hour mark. The centre-forward role is physically demanding and there are certainly enough fixtures to be shared around. Havertz's versatility also means he could potentially play certain games alongside Gyokeres. In this friendly, Merino ostensibly played the left No 8 position, but was often operating in advanced areas close to Havertz. This was most evident on Arsenal's first goal, when Havertz flicked the ball into Merino's path for a first-time finish. In that instance, Havertz and Merino almost looked like a front two. Could we see Havertz and Gyokeres combining in a similar fashion this season? While naturally keeping his cards close to his chest, Arteta didn't rule that out. 'Yeah, we do have plans,' he said. 'We do have a lot of options and we are increasing the quality of the squad and the depth of the squad with all the signings that we've done. 'We are super happy to have Viktor with us. It's been a long journey to get him over here. He's been incredible. He was very clear from the beginning where he wanted to play and how passionate I felt from him from day one when we first spoke. You can see the boys — you can see the environment as well — (are) very excited with his arrival.' Recent fixtures between Arsenal and Newcastle have had plenty of needle and this was no exception. One of the considerations when playing pre-season games against Premier League teams is that they're not always entirely 'friendly'. Add in that antipathy between these two teams and this game was always going to have a more competitive edge. This supposed exhibition actually saw two yellow cards issued in the first 45 minutes, amid a succession of meaty challenges. Advertisement Arsenal did not emerge unscathed — Riccard Calafiori departed straight down the tunnel clutching his thigh. On the touchline, at one stage in the second half, when Arsenal were denied a free kick in their defensive third, Arteta just stared at the fourth official in disbelief. After impressing in a cameo against Milan on Sunday, 15-year-old Dowman was brought on with half an hour remaining in the game. He received an unceremonious welcome — having beaten Joelinton in midfield, he was immediately scythed down by the Brazilian. It didn't seem to faze Dowman at all, though. The teenager was twice denied after dangerous attempts at goal. Dowman then created the winner, driving into the penalty area with a determined run. Once again, it was Joelinton chasing him. This time, the foul resulted in a penalty kick, converted by Odegaard. These are just friendly games, but they're against a good quality of opposition. Dowman not only hasn't looked out of place, he's been one of the most threatening players on the pitch. At such a young age, it's quite remarkable and his manager agrees. 'Yeah, it is special,' said Arteta. 'Obviously, what he's done today against this team in the time that he had on the pitch is something certainly not common to witness for a 15-year-old. 'We are extremely happy to have him. I think, again, the environment that he's around in — his family, the people at the club and around the academy as well — (is) super helpful because they put him into this position so early in his journey, having a real chance and a real presence when he plays.'

Barcelona said 'various pages' attempted to disrupt the live feed of the team's 3-1 win at Vissel Kobe on Sunday. 'As a result of this avalanche of requests, the system engaged the pertinent security mechanisms which then affected the broadcast on the (club's) website and app,' Barcelona said in a statement. 'Straightaway, the decision was taken to offer the game free on the club's YouTube platform to guarantee the broadcast of the game.' Barcelona apologized 'for the inconvenience caused and will contact all those people affected.' Arsenal new boy steals show in Singapore win over Newcastle without kicking a ball
Arsenal and Newcastle United drew a crowd just shy of 40,000 to watch the Gunners beat their Premier League rivals. Eddie Howe's Toon Army turned out in force to try to compete with the vast Arsenal contingent, at the Singapore National Stadium. Arsenal won the Sunday night showdown as both sides featured new signings for the fans to see. Martin Zubimendi started his first game for Arsenal and it was a chance for Newcastle's Asia-based fans to witness Anthony Elanga play too. Elanga shot Newcastle into an early lead before Arsenal hit back with a quick-fire double through Mikel Merino and an Alex Murphy own goal. A second-half Jacob Murphy strike levelled things up, and Martin Odegaard secured a deserved victory for Arsenal with a late penalty. The biggest cheer of the night, however, came before a ball had been kicked when new Arsenal striker Viktor Gyokeres walked to the middle of the pitch in his new NO.14 shirt and waved to delirious supporters. Arsenal supporters in Hong Kong might get a chance to see Gyokeres play when they fly there to face arch-rivals Tottenham next Thursday. These are some of the key things Arsenal's new Super Swede witnessed watching on from the stands…. THE RIVALRY IS REAL These two teams have developed a feisty edge to their rivalry in recent years and this pre-season friendly had a rare edge to it. Arsenal's Bukayo Saka and Anthony Gordon both came in for testing tackles. Mikel Arteta was raging at the Singapore referee after Saka appeared to get hit in the face and new Arsenal signing Zubimendi was even booked for a challenge on Gordon. ELITE ELANGA It was a bit of a scuffed shot, but Anthony Elanga's first goal in the black and white stripes of Newcastle marked a great start for the big money signing from Nottingham Forest. He is no replacement for Alexander Isak, assuming the star striker does get his wish for a move this summer, but the fellow Sweden international team-mate of Gyokeres seems to have adapted quickly to Eddie Howe's tactics, and his pace caused Arsenal a number of problems. What is it about Sweden and all this amazing attacking talent? NEW ARSENAL MIDFIELD We got a first look at Arsenal's new look midfield for the last 20 minutes or so when Declan Rice came on to replace Mikel Merino. That left Zubimendi as the anchor man with Martin Odegaard and Rice playing in front of him. Rice and Odegaard, who was shooting at every opportunity, will clearly enjoy much more attacking freedom this season based on what we saw and Zubimendi makes Arsenal just that little bit tighter at the back as a defensive shield. When Brentford signing Christian Norgaard came on for Zubimendi, it offered another insight into how Arsenal will be able to rotate players in the new season. BELIEVE THE HYPE Arsenal substitute Max Dowman is 15 and still a schoolboy. He is not 16 until this New Year's Eve. But he already looks every inch a Premier League player, going past opponents at will from his very first touch. His most significant contribution was an 83rd-minute run that was ended by a Joelinton foul and resulted in a penalty for Odegaard to strike home the deserved winning goal.
