South Africa's ICC World Test Championship squad celebrated their historic win over Australia at Lord's.
Two days after making history by defeating Australia, South Africa's triumphant ICC World Test Championship squad returned to Lord's on Monday to continue their celebrations.
The entire 15-player squad, along with the famous mace, gathered at the Home of Cricket to commemorate their five-wicket victory over Australia in the World Test Championship Final. This marked South Africa's first win in an ICC tournament in 28 years.

As reported by the ICC website, the players and support staff were in high spirits as they took one final look at Lord's before heading back to South Africa. All-rounder Wiaan Mulder described the celebrations as spirited.
'It's been a very, very good couple of days. Celebrations like I haven't had before, so as a team I think we're super chuffed and no better place to do it than at the Home of Cricket," Mulder was quoted as saying by ICC Digital at Lord's.
Mulder admitted he had barely slept since arriving in London due to the nerves leading up to the Ultimate Test and the post-match celebrations taking their toll.
Although the entire squad and support staff participated in the festivities, Mulder noted that players from Western Province led the way.
'I think it's the Western Province crew, to be honest," Mulder said when asked who had been the best celebrators. 'All of them celebrate victory very, very hard. Kyle Verreynne, Dane Paterson, David Bedingham and (batting coach) Ashwell Prince are kind of the leaders of our vibe team, so they have been the guys that have gone all out."
Mulder mentioned that he had received numerous messages of support from family and friends back in South Africa, and he had even spoken with Australian batter Travis Head, his teammate along with Pat Cummins at IPL side Sunrisers Hyderabad, after the victory.
'I actually spoke to him (Head) last night on the phone," Mulder said. 'He was chuffed for the way it went for us.
'Obviously, he was broken that they didn't win, but I think overall, the spirit of the game was really as high or as good as it could be.
'You think about the Aussies, you always think about them as being a little bit nasty at times, but I think these guys are true champions.
'And the way they go about it, the consistency that they bring to every single day and every single moment of the game, just shows why they're arguably the best team, best sporting cricketing team to ever play the game," Mulder told the ICC.

There was daylight between Bumrah and the rest of the seamers (Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna and Shardul Thakur). The rest of the three pacers conceded runs at a brisk pace and were unable to create any sort of pressure. Bumrah took five wickets in the first innings but failed to take a single wicket in the second innings. Shubman Gill seemingly managed Bumrah's workload in the middle of the Test, as he was not asked to bowl even when England were 85 runs away from the target of 371. 'Bumrah is surely available. 'Sony has now also been told by the BCCI not to worry – India will play in the Asia Cup,' the report said. It also stated that an Indian broadcaster has confirmed: 'The tournament will be held in September. Our team will also participate.' The report further noted that India and Pakistan have consistently faced each other in ICC tournaments despite strained diplomatic relations, suggesting that both teams are likely to participate in the Asia Cup 2025. England playing smarter Bazball, India need to take wickets with new ball: Monty Panesar
New Delhi: Former England cricketer Monty Panesar has advised India to be ruthless with the new ball and to put early pressure on the English batters is the way to win the second Test at Edgbaston, which starts on Wednesday. It certainly was not a great start to Shubman Gill's captaincy as Test captain as India began their 2025-27 World Test Championship Cycle with the loss. Panesar believes that although Gill is inexperienced, his efforts should go into curating the best bowling attack. He believes Prasidh Krishna needs to be much better in English conditions and Kuldeep Yadav's inclusion as the attacking spinner can be a boost and also allow Ravindra Jadeja to take more wickets. 'He's still inexperienced as a captain. I think Prasidh Krishna bowls the Australian length. He doesn't bowl the UK length, which is slightly fuller, top of off stump. That's why I think if he does play, he needs to bowl the ball fuller. He needs to take wickets in his first spell. He can't be taking wickets, you know, later on. ' Kuldeep Yadav is going to be the attacking spinner if he plays, and Shubhman Gill, you should use him in an attacking role. I think Jadeja will definitely play because of his batting; he could be the defensive spinner. Jadeja being the defensive spinner, I think that will help him to take wickets. "So, if Kuldeep Yadav plays, Gill must use him as the attacking spinner, have attacking field sets. Have a field set that looks to take wickets. Kuldeep Yadav's job is to take wickets,' he added.
