Boston Bruins forward Pavel Zacha's future in Beantown is once again uncertain, after he was linked to a move earlier in the offseason. Advertisement According to The Fourth Period, which listed Zacha as the 17th most-valuable player reportedly available for trade, the Bruins have resumed trade discussions involving the forward. 'The Bruins explored the trade market on Zacha during the season and there is belief out there that Boston is looking, again, at moving him,' TFP reported. 'His 10-team no-trade list turns to an eight-team list July 1, so he does have some say in where he ends up, if dealt. He has two years remaining on his contract.' Zacha, 28, is under contract for two more seasons as part of his four-year, $19 million contract. He's signed through the 2026–27 season at a $4.75 million cap hit. Advertisement The veteran winger, who can operate as a center, is one of Boston's more valuable forward assets and a member of the Bruins' second forward line. It's fair to assume that trading for him would likely require a meaningful return. The Bruins have been busy adding players this offseason, and with their roster shifting under new head coach Marco Sturm, Zacha's place is no longer guaranteed. 70-year-old man killed in fireworks accident in Wareham, police say
A 70-year-old man was killed in an apparent fireworks accident on July 4th in Wareham, Massachusetts. It happened at 9:19 p.m. on Beach Street near Swift's Beach in Wareham Friday night. Police said the man, Robert Spagnuolo of Wareham, suffered a facial injury from a firework and died at the scene. According to witnesses, Spagnuolo was setting off fireworks at the beach when one exploded in his face. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the official cause of death. Wareham Police, the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office, the State Police Bomb Squad and the Massachusetts Fire Marshal's Office are all investigating the incident. On July 2, two people were injured in an explosion in Mashpee on Cape Cod when the fireworks for a show at the New Seabury Country Club hours before they were supposed to go off. Massachusetts is the only state in the U.S. that prohibits the possession, use, and sale of fireworks without a permit and certification. This also includes fireworks that legally bought in another state. According to the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services, between 2020 and 2024, more than 200 people were treated for burns and other injuries associated with fireworks. They added in the past five years, there's been more than 550 fires and explosions involving fireworks in Massachusetts.

Suspected vehicle found in fatal Crystal Lake crash, police say
The McHenry County Sheriff's Office on Saturday morning gave an update on the deadly hit-and-run crash that left a 15-year-old boy dead in Crystal Lake. According to the office, the vehicle believed to be involved in the crash on Wednesday has been found. Around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, two 15-year-old boys were walking their bikes back from a fishing trip when a car going 40 mph slammed into one of them from behind at Terra Cotta Road and Deering Oaks Lane. Police said the driver fled the scene. The McHenry County Coroner's office identified the victim as 15-year-old Nick Laureys. An autopsy determined Nick died from blunt force injuries. The office said there are no additional suspects, and no charges have been filed. They plan to release more information as it becomes available. The video above is from a previous report.
