Lucknow: In a first, Dr Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University (DSMNRU) on Friday introduced Chancellor's, Vice-Chancellor's, and Chief Minister's Gold Medals exclusively for disabled meritorious students.
The medals will be awarded during the 2025 convocation ceremony.
"Our specially abled students have made us proud at both national and international levels. However, until now, our university did not have any special medals to honour such brilliant students. Therefore, the university has decided to award the Chancellor's Gold Medal to our visually impaired and physically challenged students," said DSMNRU spokesperson Yashant Virodai.
"We already award the Chancellor's Gold Medal to the overall toppers. This will be a second Chancellor's Gold Medal, specifically for our disabled students. Similarly, the university has decided to give away special Vice-Chancellor's and Chief Minister's Gold Medals, which will also be awarded to visually impaired and physically challenged meritorious students." Indore: Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) released the final selection list for the State Forest Service Examination 2024 in Indore on Friday. The results ended the long wait for aspirants who appeared for the Assistant Forest Conservator position. The commission conducted interviews for a total of 14 posts and released the final list for thirteen posts. The main selection list contains the names of twelve candidates, while a supplementary list includes nine additional names. The selection process began with the preliminary examination on June 23, 2023, followed by the main examination on October 6, 2023. The commission declared the main examination results on November 26. Based on the results, the commission shortlisted 45 candidates from approximately 235 who appeared in the main exam and called them for interviews on March 11, 2024. Candidates waited for the final results since the interviews because the selection for these prestigious posts under the forest department was delayed for several months. The release of the final list brings relief and clarity to the selected candidates and marks the culmination of the rigorous examination process. TNN
