Shaboozey Hits The Road This Fall For The Great American Roadshow Tour

Yahoo28-05-2025
Shaboozey is taking his vocals and vibes on the road this fall. The 29-year-old singer announced his forthcoming tour titled The Great American Roadshow.
The month-long trek begins in Indianapolis toward the end of September and will hit major cities such as Detroit, Philadelphia, New Orleans, and Houston before finishing up in Orlando on Oct. 16. There is currently no opener announced, but the tour is sponsored by Jack Daniels and Coors Light.
The artist pre-sale began on Tuesday (April 29) and tickets will be available for the general public on Friday (May 2) at 10 a.m. Check out the tour announcement below to see if the Virginia-born artist will hit a city near you.
The Great American Roadshow Tour is in support of Shaboozey's 2024 album, Where I've Been, Isn't Where I'm Going. Of course, it boasts the Billboard Hot 100 record-breaking chart topper 'A Bar Song (Tipsy),' which sampled J-Kwon's 'Tipsy.' Earlier this month, he shared a deluxe version of the album featuring Jelly Roll, Myles Smith, and Sierra Ferrell, headlined by his latest single 'Good News.'
The young star racked up five Grammy nominations, one of which was for his appearance on Beyoncé's 'Spaghetti.' That track, and his feature on 'Sweet / Honey / Buckin' both appeared on her country-inspired album Cowboy Carter and were major in helping Shaboozey's breakthrough. 'A Bar Song (Tipsy)' was nominated for Song Of The Year, Best Country Song, and Best Country Solo Performance, plus he was also in the mix for Best New Artist.
His newfound stardom landed him sets at Coachella and Stagecoach this month, and he will also perform at CMA Fest in Nashville in June and at the Osheaga Music and Arts Festival in Montreal in August. Listen to the deluxe version of Where I've Been, Isn't Where I'm Going below.

LL Cool J, Jazmine Sullivan Cancel Philadelphia Festival Gig in Solidarity With Striking City Workers

LL Cool and Jazmine Sullivan canceled their appearances at a Fourth of July festival in Philadelphia in solidarity with the city workers who are on strike in Philly. Both the rapper and the Philadelphia-born R&B singer were scheduled to perform at the Wawa Welcome America Festival on Friday, but hours before the performance, LL Cool J announced in a video statement on social media that he would forego the gig in support of the 10,000 city employees — ranging from 911 dispatchers to trash collectors to water department workers, the Associated Press reports — who walked off the job Tuesday in an effort to secure better pay and benefits. I'm not doing that,' LL Cool J said. 'I've been coming to Philly my whole life. I have respect for the city. And I hope, I hope, I hope that, you know, the mayor and the city can make a deal. I hope it works out.' Sullivan wrote on her Instagram Stories, 'In this life we are only measured by how we uphold our morals and standards, by what we choose to fight for through participation or protest. Today I choose not to perform at the Wawa Welcome America concert and stand with Philly's DC33 until the city and union find a way to bring fair living wages to our working class. I love my city and I believe in you. Hopefully we will get to celebrate when things are better.' LL Cool J added that he would still travel to Philadelphia with the hope that an agreement between the workers and the city could be reached, but no deal materialized by Friday. 'I'm not gonna cross a picket line and perform for money when people are hurting,' he reiterated.
