Liv Morgan injury update: WWE star will 'miss several months' after shoulder injury
WWE star Liv Morgan will 'miss several months of action' after she suffered a shoulder injury.
The announcement was made by commentator Corey Graves during Monday Night Raw on June 23.
It was expected Morgan would miss significant time as a result of her injury, but the severity of it was unknown. Morgan is also one half of the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions alongside Raquel Rodriguez.

The plans on the titles haven't been announced, as Rodriguez could either continue the reign alongside someone else or the titles could be vacated. There is a chance Rodriguez and Morgan could hold onto the championships until Morgan returns.

What happened to Liv Morgan?
Morgan suffered the injury in a match with Kairi Sane during Monday Night Raw on June 16. In the early stages of the contest, Sane dropped to her knees to perform a single-leg takedown. Morgan went face first on the mat and her right shoulder also hit the ground. Morgan immediately yelled in pain and rolled out of the ring as the referee prevented Sane from performing any other move.

Medical personnel came to check on Morgan outside of the ring, and the match was eventually called off as Morgan was escorted out of the arena. Sane was declared winner by forfeit.
Liv Morgan return: When could she come back?
While the severity of Morgan's injury is unknown, Morgan won't be appearing in WWE in the foreseeable future. Morgan was scheduled to attend Fanatics Fest in New York City on June 20-22, but was pulled from the event after her injury.
A shoulder dislocation can sideline athletes for months. The timeline of return depends on the severity of the injury and whether surgery is necessary. The Mayo Clinic says the shoulder would improve "over a few weeks" if surgery is not needed, but if surgery is performed, full recovery can take five to six months.

Shoulder injuries have been an issue for the two-time Women's World Champion. In 2023, Morgan missed six months of action after she dislocated her shoulder in a match with Rhea Ripley, which turned out to be a labrum tear and she required surgery.
Should Morgan miss around five months, she would return around the same time as Survivor Series on Nov. 29, or could possibly wait to return at Royal Rumble in January 2026, similar to how she did in 2024.
Morgan was in her fourth reign as WWE Women's Tag Team Champion with Raquel Rodriguez, a record for the title. The duo won the titles at Raw After WrestleMania on April 21 and they lost them to Lyra Valkyria and Becky Lynch one day earlier at WrestleMania 41.

Sauce Gardner opens up on how LeBron James played role in him meeting Ice Spice
LeBron James, even if unintentionally, helped play the role of matchmaker for Sauce Gardner's rumored relationship with rapper Ice Spice, the Jets cornerback told TMZ. Gardner appeared on an April 2024 episode of 'The Shop' — a podcast featuring James — alongside rapper Travis Scott, former NFL wideout Chad Ochocinco and star Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez, and Gardner told the outlet he believes that's when the couple met in person for the first time. They seemingly became Instagram official just over one year later in a post shared by Ice Spice with her and Gardner posing in front of a bathroom mirror. Advertisement 3 Ice Spice and Sauce Gardner are pictured at the Knicks' game May 16. AP While Gardner told TMZ that he wasn't 'trying to speak too much on it' when approached in Los Angeles, he did acknowledge that he and the rapper are 'cool' — and proceeded to reveal a bit about their relationship. 'We just be having a good time,' Gardner told the outlet. 'Two young individuals, you know. She from New York. I play in New York. She talented, real talented, when it come to what she do. Same thing for me. Two people that get hated on that's really good at what we do, so we got a lot in common. We cool.' Advertisement 3 LeBron James is pictured at Fanatics Fest on June 21. Getty Images Before Ice Spice's post, the duo had been spotted out in public on different occasions, and Gardner appeared to tease the relationship earlier in April by sharing a photo on Instagram that showed them standing next to a car in New York City. When they attended a Knicks playoff game at the Garden in May, they received a loud ovation from fans in attendance as they watched the Knicks close out their second-round series against the Celtics. Gardner, 24, will enter the 2025 campaign off a rough season and is entering the last year of his rookie deal, but he still attended the Jets' mandatory minicamp instead of holding out, getting fined and attempting to make a contract statement. Bill Kostroun/New York Post 'I just wanted to show my teammates and the coaches how much I'm bought into this,' Gardner told reporters on June 12. 'I want to win. I want to be a part of changing the organization.' He earned consecutive First-Team All-Pro appearances in his first two NFL seasons — as well as winning Defensive Rookie of the Year and securing a pair of Pro Bowl spots — but failed to even make the Pro Bowl last year.

WWE Night Of Champions 2025 Results As Jade Cargill Wins Queen Of The Ring

More Images) Jade Cargill is WWE's newest Queen of the Ring after the biggest win of her career at Night of Champions 2025. 'The Storm' defeated Asuka in the finals of the 2025 Queen of the Ring tournament to inch one step closer to her first singles championship in WWE. In the most important match of her young WWE career, Cargill planted 'The Empress of Tomorrow' with a massive Jaded finisher out of nowhere to punch her ticket to SummerSlam. The two stars battled in a match largely dominated by Asuka, but ultimately, Cargill stood tall after hitting her finisher to cap off a mediocre QOTR finals match. With the victory, Cargill will now go on to face the WWE Women's Champion, currently Tiffany Stratton, at WWE's first-ever two-night SummerSlam in August. WWE Night Of Champions 2025 Results for Jade Cargill vs. Asuka Cargill pinned Asuka at WWE Night of Champions despite having a rough go-round getting out of the gate. Among the key highlights of the WWE Queen of the Ring finals were: The 2025 WWE Queen of the Ring tournament began with four Fatal 4-way matches, won by Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Cargill and Roxanne Perez, respectively. In the pair of semifinals matches, Asuka defeated Bliss while Cargill toppled Perez to set up the highly anticipated finals between Asuka and Cargill. With Asuka just returning from an extended layoff and having a lengthy history with Raw's Women's World Champion Iyo Sky, Asuka and Cargill entered the QOTR finals in a 'pick 'em' battle that seemingly could have gone either way. But Cargill has been protected throughout her run on WWE's main roster, and WWE seems to have huge creative plans for her in the months ahead. WWE SummerSlam 2025 Preview After Jade Cargill Wins Queen of the Ring Tournament The Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer recently shed some light on why he believed Cargill would win the Queen of the Ring finals at WWE Night of Champions 2025. On a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio (h/t Wrestling Inc), Meltzer said, ""Jade was supposed to be, if she hadn't gotten hurt, Jade was supposed to be champion by WrestleMania. And defending it at WrestleMania. Not [win it] at WrestleMania, but before WrestleMania." While Cargill's injury derailed those championship plans temporarily, her career appears to be back on track. Cargill's win over Asuka at WWE Night of Champions, albeit in a somewhat sloppy performance, was her biggest singles victory to date, and with that win, she's just weeks away from getting a shot at SmackDown's WWE Women's Championship. Why is that so intriguing? Well, SmackDown's Naomi, Cargill's most hated rival, is currently holding the Money in the Bank briefcase, making her a virtual shoo-in to be the world champion in the near future. Cargill's win over Asuka only makes it clearer where WWE should take Naomi's storyline. The best bet here is that Cargill beats Stratton at SummerSlam only for Naomi to instantly cash in on Cargill and take the WWE Women's title from her. Alternatively, Naomi could conceivably cash in during the match, prevent Cargill from beating Stratton and then pin Stratton herself. Regardless of the specifics, Cargill's massive victory in the Queen of the Ring finals at WWE Night of Champions almost certainly will reignite her feud with Naomi at SummerSlam.

WWE Night Of Champions Results As Jade Cargill Wins Queen Of The Ring Over Asuka
Jade Cargill vs Asuka Jade Cargill fended off a hostile Saudi crowd to defeat Asuka and become 2025 Queen of the Ring at WWE Night of Champions. After the match, Jade said "A storm was coming' for SummerSlam." Jade Cargill is in the midst of the biggest sustained push of her WWE career to date. After being one of the early AEW free agent signings following a historic run in All Elite Wrestling, Cargill has shown flashes of brilliance while learning the ropes of the wrestling business. 'Jade is… I have no less belief in her now than I did then,' said Triple H during a Survivor Series post-show in 2023. 'It's interesting when she came in we talked about her development and where she would land but what the development was. I want to make sure that no matter what is thrown at Jade Cargill she's ready. And, at no fault of her own, I think she was limited in that, right? So the idea is, we exposed her, we made her be seen, people are understanding, and they're waiting, and they're excited for her to come. When she does, it's going to be massive.' In today's wrestling landscape, the learning curve is far steeper given the lack of WWE house shows, not to mention Jade went straight to the main roster. Given her experience, Cargill is an excellent pro wrestler with massive potential. Expectations for Jade are borderline unreasonable, and patience is a virtue in WWE as evidenced by all the times Karrion Kross was allowed to fall on his face for years before finally finding his voice. Now in a feud with Naomi and on her way to a world title match against Tiffany Stratton, Cargill's time has come. Though she was at her best as a cocky, overdog heel, Jade Cargill is one of the more popular babyfaces in WWE, and seems to be closing in on her first singles championship. That is, until Naomi inevitably cashes in, thereby continuing her first long-term feud in WWE, which is more important than any title. Naomi is heating up and doing the best work of her career as a heel. This is good for Jade Cargill as long as Naomi doesn't do too good of a job as a heel to where she is cheered. After being thrown into the deep end, only an injury slowed down Jade Cargill, and she has parlayed that return into a major WrestleMania win over Naomi, followed by her first Queen of the Ring.
