Rita Ora has spoken candidly of how she proposed to her now-husband Taika Waititi.
The "Hot Right Now" singer, 34, and the Jojo Rabbit director, 49, tied the knot in 2022.
Ora told Davina McCall 's Begin Again podcast how she filled a hotel room with heart-shaped balloons and a cake because it's what she would have wanted for her proposal, before getting down on one knee.
Adding that she wasn't sure if he would say yes, the musician recalled how Waititi "absolutely loved" her breaking convention with her proposal.
"I just wanted to lock him down," she added.

Nick Knowles' wife Katie reveals truth about why she looked so ‘disinterested' at six-figure wedding after bride shaming

NICK Knowles' new wife Katie has hit back after bride shamers slammed her for looking "disinterested" at their six-figure wedding. The DIY SOS star tied the knot with Katie, who's 27 years his junior, at an Essex stately home last month, before they celebrated their marriage on a £2k a day honeymoon yacht. 6 6 6 6 Despite being back at home now, Katie is still enjoying reliving her special day, and took to TikTok to share a video of Nick's emotional reaction to her walking down the aisle. "When he looks at you like this..." she wrote over the top. In the clip, Katie was seen looking stunning in a white dress with unusual blue detailing, as she walked down to meet Nick, who had opted for a powder pink tux for his big day. The 62-year-old appeared overcome with emotion as he greeted Katie at the altar with a kiss. And the pair were then seen waiting to exchange their vows. "Walking up the aisle to the man who said he wouldn't cry… and completely failed," Katie wrote in the caption. However, a lot of comments pointed out that while Nick couldn't stop staring giddily at his soon-to-be wife, Katie seemed to be struggling to make eye contact with her man. "She doesn't look interested," one wrote. "Did she really want to marry him?" another questioned. "I thought the same," a third commented. We just tied the knot at Glastonbury in front of 500 strangers - I wore a £27 Shein dress & we saved £20K on the DJ too "He keeps looking at her wistfully but she looks as if she didn't want to be there….strange…." someone else said. "Looks like she's ready to go home lol," another added. "She doesn't look at him and looks like she doesn't want to be there," someone else said. "Well you look very unhappy," another insisted. "Yeah I'm getting 'I'm being forced into this' vibes from her," someone else cruelly wrote. "Awww she's the most unhappy bride I've ever seen and I hate that for her if it was just nerves," another said. Wedding makeup do's and dont's Paige Williams, Founder & CEO of the iconic makeup brand shared her tips. DO: Go timeless over trendy We all love a trend babe, but for your wedding day? Let's keep it classic. Think soft glam, radiant skin, neutral tones with a pop of sparkle - You want to look back in ten years and still be obsessed with your glam. Classic never goes out of style. DON'T: Try something totally new Your wedding day is not the time to switch it up with neon liner or completely new brows babe. You want to feel like you, just the most elevated, glowing version. Stick to what you know makes you feel confident and gorgeous. DO: Prioritise long-wear formulas Your wedding is a marathon, not a sprint. You're not just walking down the aisle, you're dancing, hugging, crying, and posing all day long. You need makeup that's in it for the long haul. Go for waterproof, transfer-proof & cry-proof products. Your face needs to slay from 'I do' to the last dance and be able to handle those happy tears. DON'T: Overload your base Babes, less is more. You want coverage, not cake. Go for that breathable, buildable base that lets your real skin glow through. You're aiming for flawless, not flat. Trust me, your photos will thank you. DO: Book a trial Non-negotiable. Whether you're DIY-ing your glam or booking a MUA, a trial is your makeup dress rehearsal. Test it in daylight, take selfies, wear it for hours. It's the only way to know it'll hit just right on the day. DON'T: Forget your neck & chest Don't stop the glam at your jawline, babe. Blend that foundation, bronzer and glow down to your neck and chest, we're going for seamless, snatched and sculpted from every angle. You're the main event, let it show. "It's 10 seconds of video out of an entire 13 hour day meant to be about the way he looks at me," Katie hit back. "I was so nervous, every time I saw him crying I started and I had a full face of make up. "I wanted to stay on my face for more than just the first hour of the day!" "God forbid someone is nervous on their wedding day in front of people," she added in response to another comment, while saying to someone else that she gave "no f**ks" about the criticism. And there were also those in the comments who defended Katie. "I didn't look at my husband either when saying my vows as I didn't want to cry," one wrote. "We've been married for 20 years. I wouldn't read too much into it!" "Ffs folk read so much into things," another added. "If they make each other happy then leave them be. Getting married in front of a room of people and cameras is nerve wracking. "Wishing you guys all the best." "Finally a bride as nervous as I was on my wedding day," a third commented. "Someone came up to me after and said 'you looked so stern'. "It made me so sad because it was one of the happiest moments for me but yes I was nervous and hate being the centre of attention." 6 6

EXCLUSIVE Katy Perry is facing more than just heartbreak following her split from Orlando Bloom as she faces major High Court showdown in a matter of months

Katy Perry is facing more than just heartbreak following her split from Orlando Bloom - she's also now heading for a major High Court showdown in a matter of months. The pop star, 40, who has reportedly parted ways with her Hollywood actor fiancé, is preparing to defend herself in a high-profile legal battle - a trademark war with Sydney fashion designer Katie Perry - that's been raging for over a decade. MailOnline can reveal that the High Court of Australia - the top court in the country - has set a date for 9 September to hear the dispute over the use of the name 'Katie Perry' - a label registered by the Australian designer in 2008. Katie, who was born with the surname Perry but later used the surnames Howell and then Taylor, claims the singer's decision to put her name on clothing merchandise during her 2014 Australian tour infringed on her fashion label's trademark and damaged her business. 'My fashion label has been a dream of mine since I was eleven years old,' the designer said. 'And now that dream that I have worked so hard for, since 2006, has been taken away.' Pop star Katy - who was born Katheryn Hudson and adopted her mother's maiden name 'Perry' professionally - now faces huge upheaval in both her personal and professional lives. She is said to have split from Orlando, 48, with whom she has a daughter, Daisy Dove, four. Sources say the pair have 'grown apart' in recent months, with the Lord of the Rings actor notably absent from the singer's recent public appearances. The Dark Horse hitmaker thought the legal battle was behind her last year when an appeal court overturned a ruling that found her liable for trademark infringement. However, in April this year, the designer was granted a final opportunity to plead her case before Australia's highest court. Their war dates back to 2009, when lawyers for Katy proposed a coexistence agreement - an offer the designer rejected. The case escalated when she brought the matter to Federal Court in 2019. In 2023, a judge initially ruled in her favour, finding the singer had infringed on the trademark through the sale of Katy Perry-branded merchandise in Australia. But that decision was overturned in 2024, with the court siding with the singer on the grounds that she had already built substantial international recognition under the name before the fashion label was trademarked. Now, with the High Court agreeing to review the case, it's shaping up to be a definitive legal test - not just for the pop star, but for celebrity brand rights across the globe. In its deliberations, the court will need to assess what Katy was actually known for around 2008 - and whether her fame alone, without a specific reputation in fashion or clothing, was enough to outweigh an existing trademark. These kinds of disputes are not uncommon. Burger King, for example, operates as Hungry Jack's in Australia because the name 'Burger King' was already trademarked by another business when the fast food giant entered the market. Gregory Pieris, an intellectual property partner at K&L Gates in Melbourne, said there are 'many instances' in which someone in Australia has tried to register a name identical to a major international brand. 'What happens next with Katy Perry and Katie Perry will have a lasting impact on how similar cases play out,' he told The New York Times earlier this year. It comes after Katy was seen fighting back tears while on stage in Australia, as she paid tribute to her fans following her split. The singer was visibly emotional in footage from her last show Down Under, after it was revealed last week that she and Orlando had split after nine years together. Orlando has been embracing his newly single status with a week of partying across Europe, including a wild weekend at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez 's wedding, followed by a night out at a star-studded yacht bash in Rome. The actor appeared to allude to his split from Katy in a cryptic post to Instagram Stories on Monday. Orlando - who boasts 7M Instagram followers - also shared daily encouragement from Japanese Buddhist leader Daisaku Ikeda: 'The important thing is to take that first step. Bravely overcoming one small fear gives you the courage to take on the next' As Katy took to the stage for the final show of her Australian leg of her Lifetimes world tour, she fought back tears as the show came to a close. In footage posted on X, Katy made a heart with her fingers, before struggling to hold back tears as she spoke to the crowd at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre. 'Thank you Australia for always being there for me,' she said. It came just hours after Orlando shared a series of cryptic Instagram posts, sharing a quote from Gautama Buddha to his seven million followers. The quote that Bloom reposted read: 'Each day is a new beginning. What we do today is what matters most.' He additionally shared a separate slide which had another quote which was titled 'Daily Encouragement by Daisaku Ikeda.' It continued, 'The important thing is to take that first step. Bravely overcoming one small fear gives you the courage to take on the next.' Last week, it was revealed that Orlando and Katy officially called it quits after dating for nine years. At the time, a source told Us Weekly: 'Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable,' while also adding that the separation has been 'not contentious' thus far. 'Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life.' The Teenage Dream hitmaker - who is currently embarking on her Lifetimes Tour - was previously married to Russell Brand from 2010 until their divorce in 2012. The insider further added that the reported breakup had been 'a long time coming' and that their relationship had also been 'tense for months.' In the wake of the separation, Bloom whisked himself away to Venice to attend the star-studded nuptials between Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez this past weekend. The actor was spotted mingling with a number of celebrities, including Kim Kardashian and Sydney Sweeney. Orlando was also spotted living single life as he headed to another lavish party on Sunday. He danced the night away following his recent split from former fiancée Katy Perry as a guest on the swanky superyacht alongside 450 other VIPs including likes of Naomi Campbell, Kendall Jenner, Sofia Vergara and Heidi Klum. Fresh from three days partying at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's Venice wedding extravaganza, Orlando headed on board Ritz-Carlton's gleaming 794ft Luminara for its inaugural cruise from Rome. Bloom was also recently spotted cozying up to Leonardo DiCaprio's girlfriend, Vittoria Ceretti, during a water taxi ride as they headed to the airport following the Amazon founder's wedding this past weekend.

Lorde's latest 'love triangle': As singer's new partner leaves his girlfriend of six years, the scandalous rumours of star's past with Jack Antonoff and Lena Dunham are resurfaced by fans

From Fleetwood Mac to Eric Clapton, some of the best art has come out of messy love triangles - and Lorde, who has a new album out, is rumoured to have been embroiled in not one but two romantic feuds over the years. As the musician, 28, recently 'went public' with producer Jim E-Stack, 33, with the pair reportedly packing on the PDA at Glastonbury over the weekend, his ex Kacy Hill, 31, appeared to hint that he left their six-and-a-half-year relationship after working on the New Zealand singer's record. The savage dig was reminiscent of yet another amorous 'rivalry' between the Kiwi artist, industry mogul Jack Antonoff, 41, and his former girlfriend Lena Dunham, 39. But while all the parties have denied bizarre speculation that the Bleachers front-man cheated on Lena with Lorde, some dedicated fans are still convinced something happened - with one even creating a detailed PowerPoint to make their case. The document - which insisted that Lorde's album Meodrama (produced by Jack and recorded largely in the apartment-dash-studio he shared with Lena) offered an insight into the alleged 'affair' - went viral. In a series of rambles, it posited that Lorde and Jack got together in April 2016; just months before Jack and Lena's split in December 2017, after five years of dating. The slides also included a 'timeline', stating that Lorde and Jack met sometime around 2014 to 2015, whereas Jack and Lena are understood to have started their relationship around 2012. It summarised reports - made in January 2018, which claimed that Jack was 'seeing someone else', as per US Weekly - as well as the follow up that just one month later, he and Lorde were spotted looking cosy and hugging while strolling in her native Auckland, where his band was opening for Paramore. Speaking to The Cut in 2018, Lena praised user @buzzkillary, who was behind the project. 'Actually, I completely respect this girl, because she did a very good job and she was very funny,' she quipped - albeit admitting that 'it was so embarrassing'. 'It was awful because I felt like a weird... I don't think anything happened between them. I can never know someone else's life. I have never spoken to Ella [Lorde] about it,' she continued. 'We haven't talked since Jack and I broke up. It was awful, and I couldn't do anything about it except trust that what he was saying to me was true.' Jack and Lorde, meanwhile, have both rubbished rumours that anything romantic between them ever happened, both taking to social media that same year. 'Normally I would never address rumors but I resent having the most important friendships and working relationships in my life reduced to dumb hetero normative gossip,' the producer penned. 'Those relationships are deeply important and sacred. With that said, I'm not seeing anyone. lol.' 'Guys… Jack and I are not dating, for the last time,' Lorde also wrote on X. 'I love him, he's awesome, but we're not dating! Please!' In July 2021, Lorde went so far as to tell Ash London Live on Australia's Hit Network that she sees him as a 'platonic husband'. 'Jack's and my relationship is really deep and is like a marriage in some ways - a platonic marriage,' she explained. 'We're in it for life I think at this point. We've been very close for five or six years now. We don't seem to get sick of each other. But who knows, anything could happen.' Lorde set the record straight once again, a few months later, in an interview with The New York Times. She had hit back at the 'growing narrative' concerning her connection Jack following his involvement in her album Solar Power that year. The singer, whose real name is Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O'Connor, said it was 'insulting' and 'sexist' for critics to refer to Solar Power as 'a Jack Antonoff record'. 'I haven't made a Jack Antonoff record. I've made a Lorde record and he's helped me make it and very much deferred to me on production and arrangement,' she added. 'Jack would agree with this. To give him that amount of credit is frankly insulting.' Lorde then criticised the speculation surrounding her personal relationship with Jack, as well as the idea she's part of his so-called 'stable' of female collaborators. She called the discussion around the subject - which has also included speculation about the pair's romantic and sexual life - 'retro' and 'sexist'. Needless to say all seems to be history - as Jack married actress Margaret Qualley in 2023, while Lena wed musician Luis Felber in 2021. Lorde meanwhile, looks to have confirmed romance rumours with producer Jim E-Stack over the Glastonbury weekend. According to The Sun, the Teams hitmaker was spotted 'getting close with the musician on stage' after playing a surprise set at the Woodsies stage on Friday. It was also reported that the pair were seen 'with their arms around each other while they watched The 1975' and went on 'partying until well after 4am'. MailOnline contacted Lorde's representatives for a comment at the time. Amid the blossoming romance however, Jim's ex-girlfriend Kacy Hill - an American singer - appeared to throw shade as in a TikTok she revealed that her six-and-a-half year relationship came to an end when he started working with Lorde on her single Man Of The Year. 'Let's hear it for the man who ended a 6.5 year relationship while making a girl's album then started dating her,' she quipped. A source told the publication: 'Lorde is really happy with Jim after they bonded making the album. 'But there was no overlap and she was very respectful.' The Royals singer and Jim were previously linked in October 2024 when the pair were seen making a rare public outing in New York. At the time, Lorde wasn't been pictured with her music executive boyfriend Justin Warren since March 2023. The pair began fuelling rumours they are working on a new album together after Jim-E shared a photo of Lorde to Instagram in August. Last weekend at Glasto, he singer - who previously graced The Pyramid stage in 2022 - performed all of her biggest hits from Ribs to Green Light, as well as a rendition of her new album. Wearing her jet black hair down, Lorde sported an all-white look for the occasion consisting of a pair of straight leg jeans and a plain T-shirt. While belting out her lyrics, Lorde put her abs on full display as she lifted her T-shirt up to reveal her bra. She later stripped out of the T-shirt, laying bare her impressive figure and sending thousands of supporters wild. 'Moooorning', she greeted the crowd, 'this is sick'. And it seems her performance didn't disappoint, with a host of festival-goers taking to X to praise the popstar. Supporters described the show as 'out of this world', 'utterly euphoric' and 'brilliant'.
