iPhone 17 Air's battery leaks and it's ridiculously small
Vlad, 01 August 2025 Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 17 Air this year alongside the iPhone 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max. The Air will be very thin and is the replacement for the Plus model in the line, which has been the worst selling by far. To accomplish better success, the iPhone 17 Air will be all about radical slimness, but in the service of that it will only have one rear camera like the iPhone 16e. And it's also been rumored to have a tiny battery. Today a new leak brings us some shots that purportedly show its battery in all its glory, here it is. Alleged shots of the iPhone 17 Air's battery The source of these images tells us to expect the iPhone 17 Air's battery capacity to be "around 2,900 mAh", which even for iPhones (that are notoriously more efficient than Android devices) is incredibly small. For comparison's sake, note that the vanilla iPhone 16 has a 3,561 mAh cell, and that's the smallest one of the family. The iPhone 17 Air's battery will be encased in steel. Such technology was first used for the iPhone 16 Pro last year. The steel case is supposed to improve heat dissipation and battery density thanks to its higher structural resistance. The steel case can also very easily be integrated with the L-shaped design of the phone's inner side, fitting its reduced-size logic board perfectly. The entire iPhone 17 lineup is said to come with new battery adhesives that will serve to make replacements easier. The new devices will be unveiled in September, most likely during the week which commences on September 8. Source

Samsung Galaxy A17 4G and A17 5G listed in Europe, here are the prices
Samsung's upcoming Galaxy A17 has been spotted in some certifications recently, and then it was outed in leaked renders. Today, it's gone one step further, being listed by a European retailer. The listings don't give us any more images, but do reveal the pricing for both the 4G and 5G models, as well as (at least some of) their colorways. The Galaxy A17 4G costs €289.90 with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and will be offered in black, gray, and light blue. There should be lower-end options too, with less RAM and storage, by the way. The Galaxy A17 5G is listed at €319.90 with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and this one comes in black, blue, and gray. Clearly these are not exhaustive listings though (once again, keep in mind that there will most likely be other RAM/storage combos on offer as well), so we assume more colors could also be launched. According to past rumors and leaks, the Galaxy A17 5G will be powered by Samsung's Exynos 1380 SoC, and will have a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 25W wired charging. It will run Android 15 when it launches, with One UI 7 on top. Its screen could be a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution, while for cameras expect a 50 MP main with OIS, a 5 MP ultrawide, and a 2 MP macro.
