Lorraine star swipes at Meghan Markle before realising 'that sounds ruder than I thought'
Lorraine Kelly's showbiz guru Ross King couldn't resist making a cheeky swipe at Meghan Markle as he revealed the Duchess of Sussex's latest business news
An ITV star on Lorraine couldn't resist making a cheeky remark about Meghan Markle at the start of the show.
As he introduced the Hollywood news segment, LA correspondent Ross King sprung a surprise with what he termed "shocking news".

The conversation steered towards Meghan's decision to scale back on the products she had earlier marketed this year.

Initiating the topic with a light-hearted reference, he said, "Let's not mention jam, let's say it was spread," referring to the Duchess's popular jams that were snapped up within minutes upon their debut.
Making a playful jest, he added: "Meghan Markle spread... That in itself sounds somewhat ruder than I thought it was going to be."
Ross then remarked on the secrecy surrounding the exact number of jars sold by noting: "Well done, she sold out, but here is the bit of sad news that I bring to the world this morning."

While Lorraine herself chuckled in the background, Ross delivered more news: "You might not be able to get it ever again."
He mocked the idea that the news wasn't too surprising and delved into Meghan hinting at switching path from jam production.

The April release of Meghan's As Ever range was immensely successful, selling out in just 45 minutes and featured items including jams, honey, and herbal teas.
However, in her podcast's last episode, Confessions of a Female Founder, Meghan disclosed her intentions to "step back, gather data from the launch, and figure out exactly what As Ever could be."
She elaborated on her future aspirations saying: "I want to really focus on the hospitality angle of As Ever, but as we take the learnings, we can understand what the customer's needs are seasonally."

"My heart is very deeply in my home. Everything comes from being rooted in the love story of your home and garden, and then you can imagine different verticals coming out of that."
When questioned about the possibility of venturing into a clothing line, Meghan expressed her interest, stating: "Fashion is a category I plan to explore down the line because I find it to be an interesting space for me."

As reported by Fast Company, Meghan also shared her uncertainty about defining her professional identity, saying, "If I had to write a résumé, I don't know what I would call myself."
On her As Ever website, products like the $12 Herbal Lemon Ginger Tea and $15 Flower Sprinkles have sold out, alongside other items such as shortbread and crepe mixes.
However, the website hints at future offerings with a "more coming soon" message.

Coronation Street's Sam plays a trick on terrified Lily in revenge plot

Sam Blakeman was put in a terrifying situation (Picture: ITV) Young Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) was recently traumatised by a terrifying incident in Coronation Street. Murderer Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton) had escaped from prison, and turned up at Weatherfield High looking for his daughter Joanie (Savanna Pennington). As the menacing figure appeared in the school, some of the pupils recognised him and fled in fear for their lives. Lily Platt (Grace Ashcroft-Gardner) rushed into a nearby classroom and locked the door. Sam was right behind her, but as he made for the safety of the classroom, Lily refused to let him in. Sam was left in the corridor at the mercy of Mick. Luckily Mick was focused on the hunt for Joanie and Sam wasn't hurt, but the fear he experienced has stayed with him and is seriously affecting him. Having heard about Lily's actions, Nick (Ben Price), Toyah (Georgia Taylor) and Leanne (Jane Danson) have been left concerned about what happened and worried that Sam's ordeal will have affected him, especially given that his mother died at the hands of an escaped prisoner – an event that left him deeply traumatised. Mick went in search of Joanie, so he made his way to the school (Picture: ITV) The ordeal has left Sam struggling (Picture: ITV) In upcoming episodes Sam is unable to cope when the family assemble at the bistro for Audrey (Sue Nicholls)'s birthday tea. He hides in the office, shaking with fear. There's worse to come when David (Jack P Shepherd) and Shona (Julia Goulding) try to get Lily to apologise to Sam for her actions, but she tells him that she locked him out of the classroom on purpose. Sam can't believe she would be so callous and the pair argue furiously. Peace seems to have been restored later when the two cousins both attend Eco Club and Nick and Toyah are relieved that they're getting on again. But Sam has other ideas. Lily has made a poster and Sam isn't very impressed by it. After sneering at the poster, Sam tells Lily that there have been six burglaries in the area in recent days. He says that the burglars move the furniture around. Follow Metro Soaps on WhatsApp and get all the latest spoilers first! Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? When Lily gets home she's spooked to find the door ajar. When she goes inside, she sees that the furniture has been moved around. Fearing that they've been burgled, she screams in panic. Has Sam just got his revenge on Lily? And if so, will that be the end of their feud? It's not the end of Sam's ordeal. As he opens up to Toyah about how the incident in the school affected him, he tells her he's been having panic attacks and is living with constant anxiety, it seems he's still feeling deeply troubled by everything that's happened. Instead of July 14th's launch, more viewers - ironically - watched a rerun of Death In Paradise from series 11, which first aired in 2021. The BBC's repeat of Ralf Little's gentle crime drama drew in 1.8m during the same 9pm to 10pm time slot. And BBC2's stroll through the evolution of man, Human, attracted 1.6m. Shark! fared no better this week either, when double - 2m - tuned in to BBC1's Fake or Fortune? antiques show. Both weeks, the most watched show of the evening was Coronation Street, with 3.3m and 3m watching respectively. It comes after David Tennant's gameshow The Genius Game was branded an "expensive flop" after the £2.5m series drew an average audience of 661,000 by the end. In the five-part show, seven brave celebrities spent several weeks taking to dangerous waters in an effort to overcome their fears and also deliver an ecological message. The line-up also included comedians Ross Noble and Lucy Punch as well as McFly star Dougie Poynter and athlete Ade Adepitan. In the early episodes viewers have watched Helen battle with her fear of the sea after a childhood incident at an aqua park left her scared of even entering the water. Shark! Mum-of-two Helen, 41, said: 'I was terrified of putting my head underwater. 'I have a real deep-rooted fear. 'My kids know that I am scared of the water, and my seven-year-old is more confident in the water than I am, and I realised I've got to do something about that as it's not safe.' ITV say after seven days the first episode has now been watched by 2.8m viewers and the series has been popular with 25-54 year olds. 5 The series has seen Helen battle with her fear of the sea after a childhood incident left her scared of even entering the water Credit: Shutterstock Editorial 5 Helen found being lowered into the depths in a cage too much and begged to be released Credit: Shutterstock Editorial Unlock even more award-winning articles as The Sun launches brand new membership programme - Sun Club.

Stood in front of Sharon and Ozzy, they appeared to have an idea of what was to come as the former X Factor judge could be heard saying to everyone in the room: "You've got to be quiet!" Sid then took the hand of Kelly, who was dressed down in some comfy leopard print trousers and a simple black hoodie. He said to the TV personality: "Kelly, you know I love you more than anything in the world!" Ozzy then appeared to give the game away as he jokingly quipped with his signature potty mouth: "F*** off, you are not marrying my daughter!" The group laughed before Sid continued as he said: "I want to spend the rest of my life with you - and ask in front of all of our family and friends, Kelly, will you marry me?" Proud dad Ozzy could not hold back his excitement after the incredible news. The star and Sharon were among those beaming and cheering after the cute moment. The legendary rocker has been married for over 40 years to X Factor icon Sharon, 71. Sid proposed to Kelly with a bespoke custom-designed ring from Los Angeles based jewellers, Mouawad. He designed the ring with the team through various one-on-one meetings in order to ensure it was right for Kelly. Sid chose to curate a dazzling 18K yellow gold ring adorned with both white and yellow diamonds, as well as citrine accents. Kelly and the Slipknot star had actually been friends for over 20 years before they took their friendship to the next level in 2022. Ozzy's family statement BLACK Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne has died at the age of 76. A statement from his family said: "It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. "He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. "Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis." Their son was born later that year, prompting Kelly to tell her fans that becoming a mum 'is the best thing that ever happened to me.' She's also frequently heaped praised on her partner, calling him 'My best friend, my soulmate,' and adding, 'After 23 years of friendship, I can't believe where we have ended up!' The engagement came backstage as Ozzy played his final ever show with Black Sabbath at Villa Park. The rocker, 76, had curated a day of epic rock music with a series of iconic bands and stars lined up to play before his final farewell set. Called Back To The Beginning, it was frontman and rock veteran Ozzy's last time performing on stage amid his worsening diagnosis of Parkinson's disease. It was the first time in 20 years that the original Black Sabbath line-up have performed together. Ozzy had vowed it would be his final performance due to his deteriorating health. He went public with his Parkinson's diagnosis in 2020 before finally succumbing to the disease in his health battle. Ozzy Osbourne's iconic career The singer then pursued his love of music after hearing The Beatles hit She Loves You in 1963, aged 15. After appearing in a handful of school plays, Ozzy joined Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler in their first group Rare Breed in 1967. When that band split, the pair reunited in Polka Tulk Blues alongside Tony Iommi and drummer Bill Ward. The group later became known as Black Sabbath and went onto shatter the music world with their whining guitar solos, Occult-based lyrics and Ozzy's screeching vocals. In 1970, the group gained a cult following in both the US and UK after releasing their eponymous first album. Black Sabbath saw incredible success with hit tracks such as Paranoid but discord in the group saw most of the original line-up leave. Ozzy himself quit the band in 1978, with a spiral into drug abuse leading to a divorce from first wife Thelma Mayfair, who he had two children with. It was then he first met a young Sharon Arden, who Ozzy at first wrote off as he believed she would think he was a "lunatic". But the singer could not be more wrong and the pair married in Hawaii in July 1982 before going on to have three children together, Aimee, Kelly and Jack. With Sharon's encouragement and help from her music manager dad Don, he began to carve out a successful solo career. His seminal first album Blizzard of Ozz in 1980 became a multi-platinum success thanks to Ozzy's howling vocals and macabre laugh on hit Crazy Train. Coupled with the Prince of Darkness' insane tour that saw him bite the head off a live bat, a string of successful tracks followed - cementing Ozzy as a rock legend around the world. In 1992, the singer announced his retirement but four years later created the beloved annual music festival Ozzfest with Sharon, which featured heavy metal acts touring the US and some of Europe. Ozzy returned to Black Sabbath in 1999, with the band winning a Grammy for best metal performance for the song Iron Man. They later earned the same award in 2013 after releasing single God Is Dead? from album 13. 6 Kelly and Sid are set to marry after sharing the happy engagement Credit: Getty
