WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg is set to make his return to WWE programming on this coming Monday's episode of RAW in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
According to a new report from PWInsiderElite.com, Goldberg will be appearing regularly on RAW to build towards his long-awaited retirement match. This return comes just one week after his likely opponent, GUNTHER, won back the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Goldberg's Final Match
While not officially announced by WWE, it is heavily rumored that Goldberg's final match will take place at the Saturday Night's Main Event on July 12 in Atlanta, Georgia. His opponent is expected to be GUNTHER, finally paying off an angle that began at WWE Bad Blood in October 2024 when Goldberg hopped the barricade to confront him.
Goldberg has been training intensely for his farewell match at the Black Diamond Martial Arts facility in Texas. On his podcast, he has been candid about dealing with several injuries during his training as he works to get into peak condition to deliver the full Goldberg experience one last time.

Speaking on WWE La Previa last year, GUNTHER spoke about the possibility of Goldberg wrestling again.

"I was invited out there to speak about the Crown Jewel Championship, and we had a lot of legends in the house, and I met a lot of them backstage. One of the very few I didn't meet that I just saw was there before was Goldberg.
So when our eyes crossed, basically I was like, why not break some balls a little bit? [What] I've done [to] him, he doesn't seem to be able to take things lightly. I tried to lighten up the mood a little bit, but it's...if push comes to shove, and he thinks he wants to get back into the business and wrestle again, then I'm happy to teach him a lesson," Gunther said.
Goldberg's Recent WWE Career
Since returning to WWE in 2016, Goldberg has had several high-profile runs, often competing for world championships. He defeated Kevin Owens for the Universal Championship in 2017, leading to a match with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 33. He won the same title for a second time in 2020 by defeating "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt at Super ShowDown.
His last match in WWE was at the Elimination Chamber event in February 2022, where he unsuccessfully challenged Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship. His return to face the current World Heavyweight Champion, GUNTHER, sets the stage for a massive, cross-generational main event for his final bow.

WWE SummerSlam 2025 live results: Match card, start time, what to know for night two

There was already one night of wild action. Who's ready for another one? WWE SummerSlam 2025 will cap off its double-day event on Sunday, Aug. 3, and it's shaping up to be a massive night with heavy consequences on the business. All six matches scheduled will be for championships. Not only is gold on the line the entire night, but plenty of chaos is on deck too. Tables, ladders and chairs will be involved in the highly anticipated six-team tag team match, and the Women's Intercontinental Championship won't have any disqualifications. To end the night, it will be a WrestleMania 41 rematch between John Cena and Cody Rhodes, and it'll be a street fight where anything goes. It's shaping up to be one of the biggest slates of 2025. WWE SummerSlam 2025: What Time Does Night 2 Start On Sunday?

WWE has a tough job on its hands. Following Night 1's explosive main event and surprise ending won't be easy, but Night 2 of SummerSlam has its own lineup of potentially explosive matches. The action begins at 6 p.m. ET. You can watch it on Peacock. Here is a look at the entire card. WWE SummerSlam Sunday Match Card - August 3 Undisputed WWE Championship Street Fight John Cena (c) vs. Cody Rhodes Women's World Championship Match Naomi (c) vs. Rhea Ripley vs. IYO SKY Intercontinental Championship Match Dominik Mysterio (c) vs. AJ Styles United States Championship Steel Cage Match Solo Sikoa (c) vs. Jacob Fatu Women's Intercontinental Championship No Disqualification Match Becky Lynch (c) vs. Lyra Valkyria WWE Tag Team Title Six-Pack TLC Match WWE Tag Team Champions The Wyatt Sicks vs. The Street Profits vs. The Motor City Machine Guns vs. #DIY vs. Fraxiom vs. Andrade & Rey FenixWhat Matches Could Steal the Show From John Cena and Cody Rhodes in the Main Event? Everyone will be waiting for the John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes main event. There is a chance that we could see all kinds of outside interference in this Street Fight. I'd be surprised if WWE didn't at least try to match what they accomplished on Saturday night with Seth Rollins' cash-in. That said, keep an eye on the TLC Six-Pack Tag Team Match. The number of athletes combined with the stipulations has my expectations freakishly high for this one. I'm hoping Nathan Frazer, nor anyone he's in a spot with, gets injured. Frazer is a bullet when he's in the ring, and sometimes I worry he's moving a little too fast. It's happened before. Hopefully, he has it all under control and his brilliance will shine through. I'm also fired up for Naomi's title defense against IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley. Naomi is on a run that is similar to what Liv Morgan experienced in 2024, when she was my Female WWE Superstar of the Year. If Naomi can keep the title through the next two PLEs and continues to do the character work that she's done recently, she'll have the spot on lock. Lastly, my eyes are wide open for the Steel Cage Match between Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa. The latter has found a way to re-invent himself with some humor, and he now has another faction. I could see either person going over, but it could be time to elevate Jacob into the premier title picture. Yadadamean? Be on the lookout for a post-PLE awards piece.
