Every since Modern Family aired in 2009, fans knew the show was something special. By the time it ended in 2020, not only did people fall in love with the characters, they fell in love with the -ff-air bond the cast in its entirety seemed to share. From Sara Hyland's husband asking Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell's blessing to marrying her, to Ariel Winters detailing how her TV parents stepped up for her, there are so many sweet stories worth recalling. The actress who played Lily, Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, who recently came out as bisexual, reunited with her TV dad Jesse Tyler Ferguson on the last day of Pride and lip-synced one of their most iconic scenes. While fans weren't surprised to see them together, they were enamored with how great Ferguson looks.
"Hey, Can somebody tell him that when time passes you're supposed to get older," joked one reader.
"He hasn't aged a day," exclaimed another.
The scene the two reenacted is when Ferguson's character and his husband (Eric Stonestreet's "Cam") take Lily (Anderson-Emmons) to a Vietnamese restaurant with Gloria (Sofia Vergara) to help Lily connect to her heritage. Lily vehemently denies being Vietnamese while explaining she's "gay," as her actually gay fathers correct her. The scene spins out of control, where the family manages to accidentally come of as racist, sexist and homophobic when they are obviously not any of those things.
The lip-sync the two did on the last day of Pride becomes hilariously meta, when you consider the real-life Lily is actually now publicly gay
The brief reunion also had fans begging for a Modern Family reboot, which Ferguson himself expressed interest in returning or a spin-off.

Charlize Theron says being a single mom was 'one of the healthiest decisions' she ever made

Charlize Theron, 49, has zero regrets about doing motherhood solo. During an appearance on Wednesday's episode of " Call Her Daddy," Theron spoke about her life as a single mother of two. She adopted her daughters Jackson and August in 2012 and 2015, respectively. The " Mad Max: Fury Road" actor told podcast host Alex Cooper that her parents' relationship was a "cautionary tale" that helped her realize she didn't want to be in one. Theron was 15 when she witnessed her mother fatally shoot her alcoholic father in self-defense. Theron said it was a "layered and complicated" decision driven by two factors: not wanting what her parents had and recognizing that she "did not have the capability of being healthy in a relationship." "Those two things I had to acknowledge when I decided to be a parent, and I think it's probably one of the healthiest decisions I ever made," she said. However, she acknowledges that there's still a stigma being placed on women who choose to be single. "With women, it's always like, something must be wrong with her. She can't keep a man. And it's never part of the discussion of like, 'Wow, she's really living her truth. She's living in her happiness. This is actually a choice that she made,'" Theron said. "I want to look at them, and just be like, 'Do you know how fucking great it is to live exactly how I want to live?' To experience motherhood exactly how I wanted to experience it," she added. Theron says some people might question whether her decision was fair to her children, but in the end, only they can speak to their own experience. "I can only tell you that this is the best way that I know how to be a mother to them," she said. "I love every single day of it. I love that I don't have to share them with somebody. I love that I don't have to run every fucking thing by a guy," she added. Theron said she "broke the cycle" by knowing exactly what she didn't want in a relationship and what she had to offer. "And who I am at the time that I wanted to be a parent was not somebody who should be having kids with another person," Theron said. Theron isn't the only celebrity who has spoken about being a single parent. Lucy Liu told The Cut in 2023 that the decision to have a child in her late 40s via surrogacy — as a single woman — was largely unplanned. "I didn't do a lot of research, I just pulled the trigger," Liu said. In a March interview with Parade, Connie Britton — who adopted her son from Ethiopia as a single woman at 45 — said she always wanted to be a mother. "I knew that I hadn't achieved the kind of partnership that I was looking for to have a spouse and a child together. And so I thought, 'This is the time, I'm going to start the adoption process,'" Britton said.

Legendary Rocker, 76, Nears Final Show as Wife Attends Emotional Tribute

Legendary Rocker, 76, Nears Final Show as Wife Attends Emotional Tribute originally appeared on Parade. Sharon Osbourne stepped out in a rare appearance to attend a Black Sabbath art exhibit just days ahead of husband Ozzy Osbourne's final show. Sharon looked stylish in a cream pantsuit with a black shirt as she posed beside a large poster of Ozzy displayed at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery in photos shared by The Sun on June 25. The exhibit focusing on Black Sabbath launched the same day as Sharon's appearance, and it costs nothing for fans to visit. Along with the poster, it includes several pieces of original memorabilia like album art, stage outfits, Tony Iommi's guitar iterations, Ozzy's iconic crucifix, rare photos and more. The former X Factor judge's outing comes just days before Black Sabbath's final show, Back to the Beginning, which is set for July 5 in Birmingham, England. Birmingham is Ozzy's hometown and is widely considered the birthplace of heavy metal. This will be the first time in 20 years that Ozzy, Tony, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward have performed together. Despite his Parkinson's Disease and ongoing spinal issues, Ozzy said that he's 'giving 120 percent.' The concert will serve as a charity benefit and the proceeds are supporting Cure Parkinson's, Birmingham Children's Hospital and Acorns Children's Hospice. 'If my God wants me to do the show, I'll do it. I haven't done any physical work for the last seven [or so] years,' Ozzy said on his show SiriusXM's "Ozzy Speaks" on May 28. 'By hook or by crook, I'm gonna make it there. I've got this trainer guy who helps people get back to normal. It's hard going, but he's convinced that he can pull it off for me. I'm giving it everything I've got.' Sharon has been the one to orchestrate her husband's farewell concert and will include a lineup of some of the biggest metal bands in history like Metallica, Guns 'N Roses, Alice in Chains and more. Shortly after the show was announced, Sharon told the BBC that this show will be Ozzy's 'full stop.' Legendary '80s Metal Band Honors Black Sabbath With Epic ‘War Pigs' Tribute

Legendary '80s Metal Band Honors Black Sabbath With Epic 'War Pigs' Tribute originally appeared on Parade. Legendary '80s metal band Judas Priest have released a cover of Black Sabbath's iconic 'War Pigs' as a tribute to the band ahead of their final concert. "We are honored to show our love for Ozzy and Black Sabbath with our homage to 'War Pigs,'" the group said in a statement released alongside the cover. "[It's] a song we play at every show around the world that fans sing along to – reinforcing their love as well for the legendary Prince of Darkness.' Black Sabbath's original lineup – Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward – is set to perform together for the first time in over 20 years this weekend, and several other big names will take the stage, too. Guns N' Roses, Metallica, Slayer, Pantera and more are on the bill as well. Judas Priest, however, weren't able to make the show, as they had already committed to the 60th anniversary concert for German hard rock legends Scorpions. 'I had no idea it was happening!" Judas Priest lead singer Rob Halford told Metal Hammer in May. "We've known this guy, Ossy Hoppe – he's like God in Germany for metal. He came in to see me at one of our last shows and says, 'Would you consider doing something really special and important? I'm putting on the Scorpions for their 60th anniversary, in their hometown. Would you work with the band?' And I was just like, 'Done! We've got no plans, it's all good.'' He continued, 'It all got announced and was a big deal — Scorpions and Priest — and suddenly I get this phone call [from Sharon Osbourne]: 'Robbie, I know you've got this gig with Scorpions, but could you consider coming over to do a thing with Ozzy and the guys? He'd love to see you.'' While Halford considered the idea of flying from Germany to Black Sabbath's farewell was technically possible, he deemed the idea to be too 'dangerous.' 'Even with a private plane, there's a word called 'technical', where something could go wrong, or the weather that time of year could cause problems,' Halford added. 'I was absolutely gutted.'
