A free Don Julio exhibition—with tequila tastings—is coming to Mercer Labs this week
In a margarita-loving town like New York, we'd never say no to free tequila, especially when said tequila is being served at a cool new exhibition hosted by one of the spirit's most popular brands. Tequila Don Julio is coming to Mercer Labs Museum of Art and Technology in New York City with a first-of-its-kind, free multi-sensory tasting experience from Thursday, June 12 to Sunday, June 15, celebrating the craft of Mexican spirit-making as well as the legacy of Don Julio González in high tech—and delicious—fashion.
Marking the museum's first-ever brand takeover, Por Amor: An Immersive Tasting Experience will utilize the venue's 4D spatial sound system, LED-mirrored infinity rooms and volumetric light displays to chronicle how Don Julio tequila is made and enjoyed the world over.
Guests will be guided through interactive rooms, each designed to unlock your senses: One features the rhythmic sounds of Mexica as well as the warm aromas of roasted agave and rich oak, while another lets attendees sip their way through several varieties of the spirit (Tequila Don Julio 70 Añejo Cristalino, Tequila Don Julio Reposado and Tequila Don Julio 1942) alongside immersive projections. You'll even get a chance to craft your own signature Tequila Don Julio cocktails using fresh ingredients and artisanal tools.

Jake Paul faces huge pay cut after $40million purse for Mike Tyson fight
The 'Problem Child' is set to earn yet another whopping payday this weekend - but not nearly as much as the figure he earned for his clash with Tyson Jake Paul is set to be hit with a huge pay cut ahead of his cruiserweight showdown with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. The 'Problem Child' comes into the dust-up off the back of a win over boxing legend Mike Tyson last November. Paul is eager to stay active in the ring and - with a win over the former middleweight champion - the American is targeting future bouts with some of the biggest names in the sport. As for Chavez Jr, the Mexican has been rather inactive in the ring as of late and has not been seen since beating Uriah Hall last July. Immediately after Paul's clash with Tyson, Netflix revealed 60million households worldwide tuned in live and it is estimated that there were 108 million viewers who tuned into watch the pair trade leather. Naturally, given the attention, both men were rewarded handsomely - with Paul pocketing $40m (£29.1m), while Tyson earned $20m (£14.5m). This time - according to reports - it is expected that Paul will take home around 50 percent of that this time around. While $20m (£14.5m) is still an impressive figure, it is a huge dip in pay compared to what the 'Problem Child' earned in his last outing. Prior to his clash with Tyson, Paul took on former UFC star Mike Perry. After knocking out the American in the sixth round, the 28-year-old took home a tidy sum of $3m (£2.1m). Paul is believed to have earned several million dollars for his last few fights. That was a far cry from the $30million Paul claimed he earned for fighting Tommy Fury back in 2023 - a fight he lost by split-decision. Taking to social media, Paul posted a video of himself partying after the fight with the caption: "When you lost but made $30m." However, according to various reports, the American actually took home $3.9m (£2.8m). Early on in his professional boxing career, Paul made a habit of fighting former UFC stars. For his showdown with middleweight icon Anderson Silva, the 'Problem Child' earned a whopping $5m (£4.2m), while he earned over $4m (£2.9m) for his two fights with Tyron Woodley. It was not always luxurious, though. The 28-year-old recently admitted he "didn't make much" money during his first year as a professional boxer. "I've roughly been averaging around $40million a year for the past four years in boxing," Paul told the Iced Coffee Hour podcast. "The first year, year and a half of boxing, I didn't make much. I was definitely at a loss in my first year in boxing." It was not until he fully embraced his 'bad guy' persona that he earned jaw-dropping sums of money every fight. "I think everything worked out perfectly," he added. "If I didn't have my YouTube persona and following, with everyone doubting I could become a boxer and everyone hating me, I don't think I would be making as much. In boxing, the villain makes more, and that is why I purposefully make people hate me and play that role and be the bad guy. "You want to pay for the pay-per-view or tune into Netflix more to see the guy get knocked out that you hate. It is a lot of money, and I am definitely blessed and grateful, but it feels like every bit of it was earned. I worked my a*** off every day for 12 years straight, and then finally everything clicks overnight, and then eight, nine years into it I feel like I can make what I finally deserve. I feel like every penny I have made, I deserve more because of the amount of work I have put into it. I think my biggest paydays in the sport of boxing are still to come for sure."

Queen Camilla paid a surprise visit to Wimbledon last year amid a tumultuous time for the Royal Family - and during her day out at the tennis she made a telling remark If there's one sporting tournament that's guaranteed to bring in a royal crowd - it's Wimbledon. The tennis grand slam tournament returns for another year on Monday and regular royal spectators usually include the Princess of Wales, Zara and Mike Tindall - and even Queen Camilla. Last year, she made an unnannounced visit to the All England Club to watch the quarter finals action from the Royal Box on Centre Court with her sister Annabel Elliot. The outing came during a tumultuous time for Camilla, who during the early part of 2024 had been keeping the royal show on the road while her husband King Charles and Kate took time out from public duties as they were both diagnosed with cancer. But amid the worrying time, she was able to relax somewhat on a day out at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, where she wore a cream linen dress featuring large giraffe motifs by Anna Valentine, with a Jack Russell brooch from Van Cleef and Arpels. On arriving at the championships, she met former player Laura Robson, who works in international player relations. And tellingly the Queen told her about her day out that it was it was "so nice to be able to escape for a day". Meanwhile, Camilla also praised head gardener Martyn Falconer, who has worked at Wimbledon for 25 years and cares for all the plants around the grounds. "It all looks fantastic. It always looks absolutely perfect," she told him. She also met another Camila – the daughter of Mexican doubles player Santiago Gonzalez – after the youngster boldly introduced herself to the royal guest. The Queen said "fancy having two Camillas here" and asked if she would like a picture together, and had a peek at Camila's Wimbledon pass by holding her lanyard to read it. She spent time chatting to ball girl Natalia, from Burntwood School in Wandsworth, and ball boy Yug, from Harris Academy Wimbledon, asking them which courts they worked on and how much they had been enjoying the experience. It has not been confirmed yet if Kate is set to attend SW19 during the Wimbledon fortnight this year as she is still gradually returning to royal duties following her cancer treatment. Confusion was sparked last week when it was announced that Kate, who is in remission from cancer, would not be attending the second day of Royal Ascot festival. It came after her name originally appeared on the official list of those taking part in a carriage procession alongside her husband Prince William as well as the King and Queen. When it was confirmed that she would not be attending, sources said she is still trying to find the right balance following her cancer diagnosis and subsequent chemotherapy treatment.
