Bridgerton actress Genevieve Chenneour bravely defended herself after being targeted by a prolific London criminal while getting lunch.
The 27-year-old star's real-life drama was thoroughly modern as she fought off a phone thief in Joe & the Juice.
Chenneour, who plays Clara Livingston in Netflix's beloved show, was waiting for her order at the chain cafe on Kensington High Street, London.
The thief, who the Daily Mail identified as Zacariah Boulares, 18, quietly snuck up behind her and grabbed her phone, which was placed on the counter.
Immediately, Chenneour sprang into action as she spun around and grabbed his arm while another man came to her aid.

CCTV footage shows her freeing her phone from his grasp as she pushes him to the ground and fights back against the hooded criminal.
In court on May 29, Boulares pleaded guilty to stealing her phone as well as assaulting another customer.
The actress previously told the Mail: 'They didn't expect me to stand up for myself – but I did.'
'I was left with a concussion just before the Screen Actors Guild Awards and since then, I've felt constantly on edge,' she shared.
'Even my dog was traumatised – now, if anyone touches me, he panics and tries to protect me. Getting a coffee shouldn't be something you need your wits about you for.'
Chenneour added that she was thankful to the staff in store who were 'incredible' during the incident, and she has returned to see since.
She retrained as an actress after winning an Olympic scholarship to train for Team GB's artistic swimming team at the age of 15.
Unfortunately an injury prevented her from going pro but after being a stunt double for underwater scenes in Gateway To The West she landed a role on Bridgerton.
Boulares reportedly also threatened Aled Jones with a machete 18 months prior, as he stole the star's £17,000 Rolex watch while in West London.
He was jailed for 14 months in a young offenders centre after the incident in October 2023, getting released 10 months early.
At the hearing regarding Chenneour's case, he also admitted to stealing a handbag at a pizza restaurant in London's West End in January this year.
In a message on her Instagram, the Bridgerton debutante thanked fans for their support after the attack.
'I'm okay and incredibly grateful he won't be able to harm anyone else,' she said. 'I am, however, finding it difficult to feel safe going out – especially after being repeatedly threatened with being stabbed in the face.'
Chenneour revealed that the man at the end of the video had threatened to stab her, turning it into a 'life or death' situation'in her mind'.
This second man has been released due to a lack of evidence and won't be going to court, according to the star.
A spokesman for the Met Police said: 'Police were called to a restaurant on Kensington High Street on Saturday, 8 February following reports of a theft and an assault.
'CCTV showed the suspect stealing a phone from the table and then assaulting a separate member of the public who confronted him. More Trending
'The victim of the assault was kicked and punched before the suspect left the premises.
'CCTV enquiries identified Zacariah Boulares as the suspect and he was arrested. Boulares, 18, was charged with common assault and theft.'

He will be sentenced later this month.

Meghan's As Ever jam is actually made in factory 2,000 miles from Montecito

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, had claimed the first batches of her latest As Ever products, including her jam and £21-a-jar honey, had sold out within hours of release A jam Meghan Markle has released under her new brand As Ever is actually made 2,000 miles from her mansion. The pricey preserve is said to be "inspired by the recipe Meghan crafted in her home kitchen" and an Instagram video shows a fruity mixture bubbling in a pot at the duchess' Californian property. However, it has now been revealed the jam - which Meghan sells for £6.50 per jar - is produced in a factory in Illinois, some 2,000 miles from Montecito. ‌ It is actually manufactured by the same US giant which sells Meghan's £9 packs of herbal tea. It also makes her sold-out orange blossom honey, priced at £21-a-jar – although it is not known whether it manufactures her newly released apricot preserve. Meghan, 43, had claimed last week the first batches of the apricot preserve and other new treats had sold out within hours of release online. ‌ But one tough food critic told the media she felt the jam was "a real disappointment" upon reviewing the fruity spread. Donna Collins blasted the jam, describing it as "too runny" to work. And mother-of-two Meghan faces more scrutiny today after it has emerged The Republic of Tea, which produces the jam, is based 2,000 miles from Montecito, quite the contrast to the homely image the duchess has presented in marketing for the preserve. A source close to the duchess said in order to formulate the commercial product, As Ever started with the spread Meghan makes at home "and worked to develop a version of it that could be produced at scale". Meghan's website, though, describes her "signature" raspberry jam as "inspired by the recipe she made in her home kitchen" – and says it was deliberately crafted with a fluid texture". On her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, she described harvesting berries and making small batches of jars in her kitchen, adding: "I did save one of 50 for my mom." However, a source close to Meghan has confirmed to the Daily Mail that The Republic of Tea makes her As Ever raspberry spread, but a new supplier would soon be used. The Republic of Tea's headquarters is in Larkspur, California, 350 miles from Meghan's mansion - but the factory in which the jam is said to be made is in Illinois, which is in the Midwestern United States. In a statement given to the Mail, Netflix said: "Netflix and As Ever take pride in working with best-in-class vendors that meet our high standards for exceptional products. It's been exciting to see how much fans have embraced the As Ever product line, with the first two launches selling out so quickly We're looking forward to continued success as we expand and release more As Ever product throughout the year and beyond."

Coronation Street star addresses what happened to Gary and attack culprit

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon has revealed all on Maria Connor's reaction to finding out the truth about Gary Windass' (Mikey North) disappearance. Gary disappeared without a trace following a row with Maria, who wasn't pleased about his growing connection with relatively new neighbour Lou Michaelis (Farrell Hegarty). When he didn't return home, Maria reckoned that it was simply due to their falling out. 'She's really upset that he's gone but it's not until he's been gone too long that she realises something is really wrong and is even more worried,' admitted series star Samia. 'Her emotions turn from being upset about the fact that they've fallen out to being worried about his safety.' Samia credits Gary missing Liam's (Charlie Wrenshall) birthday as the catalyst in her on-screen alter-ego realising that something is afoot. 'She was obviously worried before where he was because he had been gone a long time and was ignoring her messages and phone calls and thought they would have sorted it out long before that,' said the actress, 'but as soon as he misses Liam's birthday she absolutely has a gut feeling that something isn't right and thinks something awful might have happened to him.' Gary, as audiences know, was seen in the hospital in recent scenes. He's in a coma and fighting for his life. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? In upcoming scenes, we'll see Maria reporting Gary as a missing person to Kit Green (Jacob Roberts), who then learns about an unidentified patient. He's sure that it isn't Gary, but it becomes clear that his attacker is going to extreme lengths to conceal their crime and cover their tracks. They're even pretending to be his next of kin. Samia added: 'It's bittersweet for Maria [when she learns Gary isn't the coma patient] because she's of course glad Gary isn't in a coma, although little does she know he actually is, but at the same time she's worried even more now because her fear is he could be in a worse condition or even dead.' More Trending The actress said that, when Maria does find out that Gary is the coma patient, her mind is 'spiralling'. 'But she doesn't stop for a second to think who actually attacked him and put him in a coma, she's aware Gary has got a lot of enemies from over the years who could have potentially wanted to take revenge on him.' Cruel words are issued to Moira in new Emmerdale spoiler video

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video This is the moment Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) gets quite a shock in Emmerdale, as a new character arrives ready to stir up trouble. Next week's episodes will introduce us to Celia, played by Jaye Griffiths. She works on a farm near Butlers and as we can see from this clip, she isn't someone to be messed with. When Celia approaches a barn that Moira, Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) and Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) are working in, she wastes no time in sending the men away so she can speak with Moira. The new face puts forward the idea of her renting two of Moira's fields near her farm, for £500 a month. Moira knows they are worth a lot more, but Celia reminds her that she needs money to pay off the multiple fines from the slurry leak. Annoyed, Moira states that she won't be bought by Celia, who happily wanders off after winding her up. Celia will also be involved in another storyline next week, when Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) is attacked by one of her dogs. Afterwards, Paddy is rushed to hospital with severe injuries and taken straight into surgery. Mandy (Lisa Riley) tries to comfort a traumatised Bear (Joshua Richards) as they wait anxiously for news. When they're eventually allowed to see Paddy, instead of showing concern and worry, Bear slaps Paddy with another attack, this time verbal, but it's as vicious as the dog who mauled him. He character-assassinates Paddy before Mandy can stop him. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? Who's leaving Coronation Street? The latest gossip from Emmerdale? His words cut Paddy deep, and he's stirred into action by what his dad says – which include standing up for himself and confronting the dog owner. More Trending Once back home and well enough, Paddy grabs his vets' bolt gun and heads off to Celia's farm to confront her about her dog. The exchange goes awfully for Paddy, who returns home and rips Bear a new one for his dreadful advice.
