Declaring zero tolerance for criminal elements, he affirmed that as long as he is at the helm, there is no place for such forces in Andhra Pradesh.
The CM made these remarks while inaugurating the AI-Police Hackathon organised by the state police department at a private engineering college on Friday. Interacting with IT experts, Naidu recalled that Hyderabad became one of the most livable cities due to his efforts to curb communal violence during his previous tenure as chief minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh.
"Hyderabad's transformation into an IT powerhouse with the highest per capita income in the country was made possible due to sustained investments in the sector, fostered by a peaceful environment. Andhra Pradesh will soon become an even bigger magnet for IT investments," Naidu stated.
He said that they have set their focus on elimination of criminal forces along with technology. "Technology helped catch the culprits in former MP Vivekananda Reddy murder case.
CBI's google-take out brought them to light. Our police too become smart to nail the real culprits of the crime. We can achieve zero crime rate with the help of AI in future," said chief minister. He said that it was unfortunate that the former chief minister was backing the rowdy-sheeters and criminal elements.
"We're committed to using both strict policing and advanced technology to root out criminal networks," he said, citing AI tools and CBI breakthroughs such as Google Takeout in cracking complex cases like the Vivekananda Reddy murder.

Naidu urged young engineers to embrace emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence (AI), and assured them that AI cannot replace human intelligence. "We should stay ahead of AI and use it to our advantage. Smart work will now be redefined by technological adoption," he said.
The chief minister announced that the state is rolling out WhatsApp Governance from August 15 to provide public services via messaging platforms. He also revealed plans for India's first "Drone City" and "Space City" in Andhra Pradesh, projecting that such forward-looking concepts will spur large-scale investments and job creation.
Home minister Vangalapudi Anitha, DGP Harish Kumar Gupta, Union minister of state Dr Pemmasani Chandrasekhar, MLA Prattipati Pullarao, and other dignitaries attended the event.

Efforts must be made to preserve Haldhar Nag's writings, says Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan
BARGARH: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday described eminent Koshali poet Haldhar Nag as 'a shining jewel of India and a symbol of Odisha's identity, emotion, and expression'. Addressing a two-day national seminar titled 'Haldhar - Sajan Aar Darshan,' he said the poet's contribution to enriching Sambalpuri language and literature is unparalleled and continues to inspire generations. Organised jointly by Abhimanyu Sahitya Sansad, Ghens, and Krishna Vikash Group of Institutions, Bargarh, the seminar marked a significant effort to take Sambalpuri literature to a pan-Indian platform. Congress will pay price for neglecting SES-2015, claims Union Minister Bhupender Yadav
BENGALURU: Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav on Saturday predicted that the Congress in Karnataka will meet the same fate as its national counterpart as it has ignored the Socio-Economic Educational Survey-2015 (caste census report). Delivering the keynote address at the seminar 'Caste Census: Retrospective-Prospective' organised by the Social Justice Awareness Forum at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Yadav said that Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his government and LoP in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi were anti-backward classes. The Karnataka government had recently shelved the caste census of 2015 and opted for a fresh survey. Yadav said that the Congress lost power at the Centre because it ignored the Kaka Kalelkar Commission report recommending the upliftment of backward classes socially and educationally. He expressed confidence that when the backward classes become aware that the Congress is averse to their upliftment in Karnataka, it will not be able to return to power. 'Why did those who (Rahul Gandhi) keep the Constitution in their pockets not implement the Kaka Kalelkar Commission report? After the country became independent from the Emergency and from family rule, the Janata Party came to power at the Centre. It also formed the Mandal Commission. The Congress was out of power when the issue of justice for OBCs came to the fore. But when it came to power a few years later, it had ignored the Mandal Commission report as it did it with the Kaka Kalelkar report,' Yadav said, adding that the BJP-backed VP Singh government implemented the Mandal Commission report and got reservation for OBCs.

Puri stampede: Eyewitnesses report no government machinery present to manage surging crowds, says Naveen Patnaik
Former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, while commenting on the tragic Puri stampede , said that he extends his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, adding that eyewitnesses have reported the absence of government machinery to manage the surging crowd. "Eyewitnesses report that the initial response to this horrific tragedy came from the devotees' relatives, with no government machinery present to manage the surging crowds, highlighting a shocking lapse in duty. The inordinate delay in pulling the Nandighosha chariot on Rath Yatra day was conveniently attributed to 'Mahaprabhu's wish', a shocking excuse that masks the administration's complete abdication of responsibility," said the former Odisha CM. "Today's stampede, occurring just a day after the abysmal failure of crowd management during the #RathYatra that left hundreds injured, exposes the government's glaring incompetence in ensuring a peaceful festival for devotees," added Patnaik in a post on X. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Play War Thunder now for free War Thunder Play Now Undo Patnaik said, "While I refrain from accusing the government of criminal negligence, their blatant callousness has undeniably contributed to this tragedy." He urged the government to implement urgent corrective measures to ensure the smooth conduct of Adapa Bije, Bahuda, Suna Besha, and other key Rath Yatra rituals. Puri stampede: At least three persons were killed and around 50 others injured in a stampede that took place near Shree Gundicha Temple in Odisha's Puri on Sunday morning, a senior official said. Live Events The incident took place around 4 am when hundreds of devotees gathered near the temple to witness Rath Yatra festivities, Puri District Collector Siddharth S Swain said. Chaos ensued after two trucks carrying materials for rituals reportedly entered the crowded spot near the chariots of Lord Jagannath and his sibling deities, officials said. The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital, and the condition of six people is critical, he said. The deceased were identified as Basanti Sahu from Bolagarh, and Premakant Mohanty and Pravati Das from Balipatna. The bodies have been sent for postmortem and an investigation is underway. DGP Y B Khurania and senior government officials are at the spot to take stock of the situation. Meanwhile, Odisha Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan said he has apprised Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi about the incident. 'We will take all the necessary action,' Harichandan said. The chariots of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra had on Saturday reached Shree Gundicha Temple, a day after the Rath Yatra began in Puri. The temple is considered the aunt's place of the deities, which go there every year from the 12th-century Jagannath temple, situated at a distance of 2.6 km, as part of the rituals. The return car journey, known as 'Bahuda Yatra', will held this year on 5 July.
