Bumrah was rested from the second Test, which began here on Wednesday, as part of his workload management. He played in the first Test at Leeds which India lost by five wickets.

"No Bumrah. Just to manage his workload.
We did get a good break and this is an important match for us. But the third Test being at Lord's, we think there'll be more in that pitch so we'll use him there. We were tempted to play Kuldeep but looking at the last match, our lower order didn't do well, so decided to add some depth to the batting," he said.
Poll
Should Jasprit Bumrah have played in the second Test against England?
Yes, he should have played
No, resting was a good decision
The third Test is scheduled to start on July 10.
The Indian team management had declared at the start of the series that Bumrah will only play in three Tests out of five.

Josh Allen ditches Hailee Steinfeld right after wedding to chase Super Bowl glory with Buffalo Bills
Josh Allen is laser-focused on the upcoming NFL season (Image via AP) Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld may have just tied the knot in a private, phone-free wedding ceremony on May 31, 2025, but the honeymoon phase is already on pause. The Buffalo Bills star quarterback has made one thing clear: the 2025 NFL season—and finally beating Patrick Mahomes—is now his top priority. Josh Allen puts love aside as his focus shifts to winning it all with the Buffalo Bills Despite their high-profile romance, which remained mostly private, Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld's marriage included a quiet ceremony in California, attended by close friends and team figures like Head Coach Sean McDermott and tight end Dawson Knox. But just weeks after the wedding, Allen is already fully immersed in football mode. For Josh Allen, the time for distractions is over. After four straight playoff exits to the Kansas City Chiefs, the pressure is at an all-time high. The Bills haven't just fallen short—they've done so repeatedly, and painfully, in the Mahomes era. Now, Allen has one mission: deliver a Super Bowl to Buffalo, or risk the narrative turning permanently against him. Allen himself seems locked in on the goal. 'Very excited. I love camp. I love being with the guys in the dorms, spending basically every waking second with your team, getting to know teammates on a deeper level. That's what I look forward to most: building that team spirit,' he said. The Bills will return to their long-standing training camp site at St. John Fisher University in Pittsford, with 11 sessions scheduled—10 open to the public. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Trading CFD dengan Teknologi dan Kecepatan Lebih Baik IC Markets Mendaftar Undo Fans will get a first look at a quarterback who now carries the weight of a $330 million contract extension, $250 million of which is guaranteed—an NFL record. 'It's on the management': Former NHL executive slams Maple Leafs management for letting Mitch Marner walk away after nine seasons
Craig Button criticizes the Toronto Maple Leafs' management for failing to support Mitch Marner (Imagn Images) The Toronto Maple Leafs are facing a storm of criticism following Mitch Marner's shocking departure, and this time, it's not coming from fans or analysts—it's from a former NHL Assistant General Manager. As the dust settles on Marner's blockbuster sign-and-trade deal with the Vegas Golden Knights, the blame is squarely being placed on the shoulders of Toronto's front office. Craig Button calls out Leafs brass for failing to back Mitch Marner Craig Button, a respected voice in hockey circles, did not hold back in his assessment of Marner's exit. According to Button, the 28-year-old winger—who recently signed an eight-year, $96 million extension with Vegas—was let down by a management group that failed to protect and support one of their franchise stars. 'It's on the management,' Button declared. 'You can look at the team and go, 'Okay, Mitch Marner is the reason you didn't win.' Well, if that's the case, be careful, because I don't think that's the reason… Bottom line for Toronto is they weren't deep enough to win with Marner and Matthews and all those guys. It's on the management. That's not on the players.' What do you think of Marner's deal and fit with Golden Knights? Button also questioned why General Manager Brad Treliving didn't prioritize retaining Marner earlier, noting: 'Could it have been avoided with Brad saying, 'Hey Mitch, we want to sign you'? I don't know why the Leafs wouldn't want to sign Mitch Marner.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Our one of a kind Patented Cold Water Extraction Process Superior Ginseng Undo Leafs move on without one of their top scorers Marner leaves Toronto after a nine-season run where he tallied 741 points—including 102 in his final year. Despite his offensive brilliance, the Leafs only managed two playoff series wins during the 'Core Four' era with Marner, Matthews, Nylander, and Tavares. While John Tavares was re-signed, Marner seemed poised to leave and ultimately did—landing with Vegas via a sign-and-trade deal that brought Nicolas Roy to Toronto. In an emotional message to fans, Marner reflected: 'Leaving isn't easy… This city is where I grew up, where I fell in love with hockey, and where I've had the incredible honour of living out my childhood dream.' 'A good witch': Gisele Bündchen's 'witchcraft' may have powered Tom Brady's Super Bowl legacy
Tom Brady's NFL success was intertwined with Gisele Bündchen's spiritual practices (Getty Images) Long before Tom Brady became the undisputed 'GOAT' of the NFL , there may have been an unseen force powering his greatness—from crystals to mantras, courtesy of his former wife, Gisele Bündchen. Though Brady was never short on preparation or talent, a deeper spiritual element played a surprising role in his success during their marriage, one that many fans and analysts are only now beginning to reconsider in light of his post-divorce NFL exit. Gisele Bündchen wasn't just a supermodel—she was Tom Brady's secret game-day force During a 2019 panel, Brady opened up about a side of his game-day routine that stunned fans: "She puts together this little altar for me with pictures of my kids, healing stones, protection stones," Brady revealed. 'She has me wear a necklace, take drops she makes, and say all these mantras. I stopped questioning her a long time ago.' What started out as skepticism gradually became ritual. With Gisele by his side—literally creating altars and instructing him to follow specific spiritual routines—Brady leaned into her practices because, quite simply, they seemed to work. Tom Brady opens up about his superstitious wife Gisele, 'protection stones' How Gisele Bündchen's 'good witch' ways aligned with Tom Brady's NFL success Gisele once told Brady, 'You have to listen to me. I'm just a good witch.' She made herbal drops, charged crystals for protection, and guided him in reciting empowering mantras before each game. And time after time, her forecasts were eerily accurate. In 2014, she predicted a strong year—and Brady's Patriots won one of the most dramatic Super Bowls in history. In 2015, she warned of a setback—and the team fell short. In 2016, she again foresaw triumph—and Brady pulled off the iconic 28–3 comeback against Atlanta. These weren't just coincidences; they were chapters in a bizarrely magical narrative where belief and performance intersected. As Brady's post-Gisele career wound down and he stepped away from the game, questions emerged—not about his talent, but about what he left behind spiritually. Without his spiritual guide and self-proclaimed 'good witch,' was something essential missing? Also Read: 'A body I didn't recognize': Tom Brady's ex-wife Gisele Bündchen says plastic surgery ruined her body image and left her feeling ashamed Brady may never attribute his seven Super Bowl rings to healing stones and protective chants, but behind every champion is a support system. And for Tom Brady, that system once included a woman whose rituals, energy, and unwavering belief helped define an era of dominance that may never be repeated.
