A huge new nightclub and live music venue is opening in suburban Sydney next month
With the telling name 'Bella Live', the multifunction new venue is dedicated to hosting live events, with the aim of becoming 'the beating heart of entertainment in the Hills.' Occupying a massive 1,029m² former warehouse, it's been engineered to host major touring acts – with three main rooms kitted out with custom audio systems, LED stage lighting, projection-style immersive lighting, and an AV system integrated throughout.
Sydney-based architecture firm Archebiosis Architects was tasked with the design – bringing to life a warehouse-style space that combines an edgy, industrial aesthetic with sleek, modern design features. The result is a vast, super-club-style space complete with a 17.5-metre bar and a huge 10 x 8-metre stage flanked by VIP booths.
Wondering what's coming up? At this stage, the program (which will kick off with a huge opening night on Saturday, August 9) features weekly Friday club nights, an Oktoberfest celebration on Sunday, September 28, and a special show from Aussie icon Daryl Braithwaite on Sunday, November 16. So far on the DJ front, Bella Live has locked in high-octane sets from SEKTA & Wongo (August 16), Set Mo (August 23), JaySounds (August 30), and Bag Raiders (September 6) – to name a few. With high-spec staging, audio and lighting, plus luxe green rooms and private ensuites for performers, the venue is aiming to position itself as a go-to for international artists. For sports fans, Bella Live will show UFC, F1, and Premier League action on giant screens, with plans for celebrity lunches, athlete meet-and-greets, and game-day brand activations in the works. Other events set to be hosted at the big new space include open mic nights, improv shows, author talks, weekend markets, and silent discos – it's absolutely not a one-trick pony.
These are the best dancefloors in Sydney.

Thor actor Chris Hemsworth was only too happy to pose with a staff member inside Twist, an interactive museum filled with brain-busting illusions. A source said: "Chris was in London for the premiere of Limitless and made it into a real family occasion. "When he wasn't busy they did some sight-seeing and headed to Twist on Oxford Street for some fun. "He didn't tell anyone he was going and they just kept themselves to themselves. The workers were gobsmacked to spot him wandering around." Father-of-three Chris' new series of Limitless will soon be available on Disney+. It sees the movie star explore how we all can live better three years after his first docuseries looked at how to live longer. The "life-changing" three-part series was filmed in six countries over the past two years and saw Chris tackle some momentous challenges including playing the drums for Ed Sheeran in front of 70,000 fans and scaling a 600-foot climbing wall in the Swiss Alps. He said of the show: "Making this series has been a life-changing journey. I've discovered so much about my own health, resilience and what it really means to live well. "I hope this next chapter inspires audiences to step outside their comfort zones and embrace challenges, because the impact it's had on my life has been truly profound.' Spanish beauty Elsa, 49, is a star in her own right. She rose to prominence when she was cast as one of the lead characters in the Spanish drama Al salir de clase. The series first premiered in 1997 and ran for five seasons until it concluded in 2002. Since then, Elsa has built a global fanbase with her role as Officer Elena Neves in the Fast & Furious franchise, and in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, alongside her hubby. 4 Chris with wife Elsa in Japan earlier this year Credit: Instagram

Gethin Jones and Helen Skelton ‘cool off romance' after he's spotted on dating app
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) TV hosts Gethin Jones and Helen Skelton have cooled off their budding romance as he joins A-list dating app to meet new women. It was revealed earlier this year that the Morning Live pair had been growing extremely close away from screens and were in the throes of a brand new romance. It was first reported by the same publication in May how the pair were enjoying a flirty and tactile relationship with each other and had even spent time on a spa retreat and were acting "like a couple" after chemistry "blossomed". But now it appears that Gethin's focus is elsewhere after updating his Raya profile to show he is in Australia where the 47-year-old has been enjoying a boys trip. Insiders added to the Mail that Gethin is on the prowl in hopes of finding a new connection. A source said: "Gethin is on the prowl Down Under which puts the nail in the coffin for his romance with Helen. "He's there with pals but keen to meet other women. "There is no way Helen would stand for that if they were together and he has far too much respect for her to even go behind her back. "Despite having an increasingly close connection it's cooled down significantly which is gutting for fans who really wanted them to be together." The Sun has reached out to representatives for Gethin and Helen for comment. Helen is understood to have been single following the high-profile collapse of her marriage to Leeds Rhinos star Richie Myler. Gethin Jones and Helen Skelton's romance heats up as they're seen at spa He chose to leave Helen and their three children to marry Stephanie Thirkill, the daughter of Leeds Rhinos president Andrew, with whom he went on to have two children. Gethin meanwhile last romanced First Dates star CiCi Coleman in 2023. He has also enjoyed brief dalliances with a bevy of celebrity beauties including TOWIE's Lucy Mecklenburgh and German lingerie model, Katja Zwara. Gethin famously dated Welsh singer Katherine Jenkins for four years from 2007 and even became engaged in February 2011 before they split ten months later. Helen and Gethin grew close after he became a shoulder to cry on for the star as she continued to struggle with the loss of her marriage. 5 The pair grew close as hosts on the BBC show Morning Live Credit: Getty

Home and Away LEAVES Sydney's Northern Beaches for the first time in 36 years with new filming location revealed - and it's not in NSW
Home and Away is leaving Summer Bay behind for the first time in 36 years. The Australian soap opera has been filming at Palm Beach, in Sydney 's Northern Beaches, since its inception in 1988. But now the show is heading west - to Western Australia, to be precise. However, the move is not a permanent one, with what Channel Seven calls a 'high-stakes storyline' set to take place in the region. The episodes will be, filmed against the stunning natural beauty of Western Australia, the network revealed on Monday. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. In partnership with Tourism Western Australia, this special Home and Away event will see the show trade the familiar sands of Summer Bay for the vast and varied landscapes of WA – from cosmopolitan Perth to its rugged coastline and expansive red outback. Filming will take place in October at several locations across the state. While storyline and casting details are being kept tightly under wraps, producers promise that Western Australia will take centre stage. 'Our cast and crew are beyond excited to be filming in Western Australia – a first for Home and Away,' Home and Away Series Producer, Lucy Addario, said. 'Its awe-inspiring beauty, diverse landscapes and sheer scale make it the perfect backdrop for this huge storyline. 'Working with the Tourism Western Australia team has been an absolute joy and we can't wait for audiences to fall in love with WA like we have.' The special Home and Away event will premiere in 2026 on Seven and 7plus. It comes after it was revealed that Home and Away is losing yet another beloved character, leading fans to wonder whether it may be the next soapie to leave screens. The episodes will be, filmed against the stunning natural beauty of Western Australia, the network revealed on Monday. Pictured: A scene from the soap After news broke that Juliet Godwin is saying goodbye to the beloved Aussie series, rumours are circulating that another cast member is eyeing the door. According to reports, Matt Evans, who plays Theo Poulos in the series, is set to leave Summer Bay. Matt, 28, has been a regular feature on the show for three and a half years. The news of Matt's potential exit from the show points to a larger problem in the soapie sphere: could Home and Away be the next TV series to get the axe? Neighbours made headlines in February after it was revealed the show would be leaving screens a second time around, less than two years after it was first revived. The final ever episode will air at the end of 2025, with fans forced to say goodbye to Ramsay Street.
