Daily Mirror16-06-2025
Olivia Attwood has announced she had landed a huge presenting role on This Morning following her recent success on Loose Women.
A guest on the programme today, Olivia said: "I have some news, it's very exiting. I'll be joining you guys on the hosting team on the other side. "I'm going to be doing a couple of shows in the summer, I'm very excited to be joining you guys, a huge honour.
"I've grown up watching this show and being part of the daytime team on Loose Women has been the best experience and this just feels like a very natural progression."
Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley said she'll be 'brilliant' after announcing the new and she then got some practice in, but needed her soon-to-be colleagues help in finding the correct camera as she addressed the viewers.
The 34-year-old, who joined ITV's Loose Women panel two years ago, appeared on This Morning on Monday to discuss her latest series of her documentary Olivia Attwood: The Price of Perfection.
The news drew mixed reaction on social media. One wasn't happy with the decision and said on X: "That's another step downhill for this show! I wonder who else will be hosting over the summer?"
Another was pleased, writing: "Yes queen hope you get full time on this morning!" as a third person said about the reality TV star: "It's great that olivia attwood will be a presenter on this morning, she'll be fantastic #ThisMorning."

Love Island fans say Harry is going 'straight to hell' as Meet The Family returns

Love Island fans think this year's Meet The Family will be the 'messiest' yet amid all the drama with Shakira and Harry. Love Island fans are fearing for Harry Cooksley as the Meet The Family segment of the competition returns. ‌ The ITV2 dating show is just days away from this year's grand finale, and it is almost that time again where loved ones of the contestants arrive at the villa to assess the new relationships that have been developing on screen. ITV confirmed the return of the segment on Sunday night's edition, and it is expected to air tonight. ‌ One fan, who was eager to see the mother of Shakira Khan amid her drama with footballer Harry Cooksley, wrote: "I carnt wait for meet the parents if Toni and Shakiras moms am going in."(sic) It's no wonder that some fans are looking forward to seeing Shakira's mother, as last night they were quick to point out the "game plan" of Harry after yet more drama involving the 30 year old. Despite being coupled up with Helena, Harry has continuously shared cheeky and flirtatious chat with other girls in the villa. And his ways have caused former partner Shakira's head to be turned despite being in a pair with Conor. ‌ Another fan savagely predicted: "finally caught up to love island UK…Harry, you're going straight to hell' as the famous section of the show geared up to return. One viewer felt so passionate about not wanting Harry and Shakira to be together that they admitted they 'not watch the rest' of the series if that is the way things go. In a promo for the new episode, the mother of contestant Toni Laites is seen making an entrance and is heard bellowing: "Is Toni here?" as she arrived on set. Spotting her mother, Toni, who was in a somewhat steady relationship with Harrison Solomon prior to his exit, but is now coupled up with CachMercer , gasps and runs away. Upon seeing the teaser, viewers flooded social media to make their excitement known, and one claimed that it is set to be the 'messiest' Meet the Family yet. ‌ They wrote: "This is about to be the messiest meet the parents episode of love island EVERRR," whilst another said: "I don't think it's smart for the producers to do a meet the parents in real life this season, it has to be on zoom." A third, appearing to be in a frenzy, simply wrote: "MEET THE PARENTS YESHZNXMXMXKCKK." And following Friday night's dramatic antics, fans are certain they know what Harry is up to as a dramatic recoupling took place on Sunday. There were tears for Harry as he spoke to Helena who promised she could not be friends with him in the villa or on the outside. And he was backed by the boys as he sulked. However, the recoupling led fans to have the same thoughts. With just Helena and Shakira left standing waiting to be picked, Harry said he had "disappointed myself" before saying he knows he's not perfect. He said he had "chose to ignore" the feelings he had for her as he told Shakira he was either leaving the villa alone or with her. He made his decision, with Shakira hugging him and leaving Helena left standing alone, much to the disappointment of other islanders. After Blu was left to pick Helena, she took his words on board before getting up and quickly walking away from the fire pit. And taking to social media, fans of the show made their feelings known. One user on Twitter /X said: "Harry knows Shakira is most popular with public his game plan working to a tee." ‌ And it was shown in other comments by viewers. "IF THERE IS A VOTE IM VOTING HARRY AND SHAKIRA WITH NO SHAME #LoveIsland," admitted one user. Another added: "Just watch! People will vote for Harry and Shakira," while a third said: "Yessss Harry beautiful speech, you're back in the game. Team Harry and Shakira" On Friday's edition, he was finally exposed to the villa for his actions that had caused drama between the girls for weeks - leading to a split. He had played Shakira and Helena against each other time and time again, and sat back as Helena and Shakira took the triangle drama out on each other. His exclusive pairing with Helena had left Shakira devastated after feeling isolated in recent weeks. However, just a day after moving their relationship on, Harry was hinting to Dejon how he still liked Shakira. He also hinted he wasn't that into Helena, before appearing to try and pick a fight with her at the Grafties. ‌ The awkward scenes playing out in front of the camera saw Helena end things for good. His comments about "loving" his ex Emma and him flirting with others, not to mention his chats with Shakira, all played on the awards ceremony in the vila. And the footballer also made a comment about having a better experience with Shakira than Helena. Helena ended up calling Harry "a f*****g joke". She then told him: "Shakira doesn't want you, I don't want you." With that the other Islanders smirked as Helena appeared to end things. Love Island 2025 airs every night at 9PM on ITV2 and ITVX.

EMMERDALE has filmed last minute scenes to celebrate Lionesses Euro 2025 victory. Tonight's episode of the ITV soap will will begin with a specially filmed scene celebrating the Lionesses' momentous victory over Spain in the UEFA Euro finals. 4 4 Sunday night saw the Lionesses' retain the Euro cup after the final went to penalties, which they won 3-1. The opening of tonight's Emmerdale episode will see Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) chatting with Mary Goskirk (Louise Jameson) about last night's incredible football match. Viewers will also get a glimpse of the aftermath of a lively celebration at the Woolpack pub, with the disarray clearly indicating the villagers had gathered en masse to watch the Lionesses make history. This scene was a last-minute addition, filmed with the hopeful anticipation of an England win, allowing Emmerdale to capture and reflect the national excitement surrounding the Lionesses' triumph. Producer Laura Shaw said: 'With the nation getting behind the Lionesses, we knew the fictional characters in Emmerdale would've been doing just the same so it felt right and proper that we should reflect this result on the show.' England put their fans through the mill during the final, with Spain scoring first before Alessia Russo equalised in the 57th minute. With neither team able to break the deadlock after 90 minutes, they went to extra time, where the scoreline remained unchanged. It meant the dreaded penalties would decide who would triumph and thankfully, England came out on top. That was down to two incredible saves from hero goalkeeper Hannah Hampton, and Chloe Kelly putting the ball in the back of the net to secure the victory, after Spain also sent one shot wide of the net. Meanwhile, Lionesses stalwart Lucy Bronze, 33, incredibly fought through the serious injury to play a key role as Sarina Wiegman 's side retained their Euros crown. Bronze played 105 minutes of England 's final victory over Spain, before finally being forced off at half-time of extra time with a knee issue. Following the Lionesses' 3-1 penalty shoot-out victory, the Chelsea full-back told the BBC: "I have actually played the whole tournament with a fractured tibia, and then I have hurt my knee on my other leg. "That's why I got a lot of praise from the girls after the Sweden game, as I've been in a lot of pain. "If that's what it takes to play for England, that's what I'll do. Very painful." 4
