Texas A&M's 2026 recruiting class will be well-represented on the big stage later this month, as four-star quarterback commit Helaman Casuga and four-star Edge rusher Jordan Carter have been invited to compete in the annual Rivals Five-Star event in Indianapolis, Indiana, on June 23-24.
Casuga received his invitation on Thursday, while Carter announced that he will head to the Colts Stadium on Friday. This is an impressive feat for Coach Mike Elko and his staff, considering that both players are committed to the program, including Carter's announcement via TexAgs that he has likely shut down his recruitment after his official visit to Texas A&M last weekend.
Rival Five-Star is a chance for the top 100 players in the 2026 cycle to compete at the highest level and showcase their elite skillsets to help solidify their standing as the best prospects at their respective positions. Casuga's 6,475 yards and 60 touchdowns during his first two high school seasons booked his ticket, while Carter's 62 tackles, 13 sacks, and 17 tackles for loss during his 2024 junior season are equally eye-popping.
According to Rivals, Carter is currently positioned as the 146th-ranked prospect in the 2026 cycle, the 13th-ranked defensive end, and the 19th-ranked prospect in Georgia.
Standing at 6'4" and over 230 pounds, Carter's length and elite first step have made him one of the more feared pass rushers in Georgia, and should continue to rise in the recruiting rankings after his 2025 senior season. Knowing Texas A&M's success in developing defensive linemen, it's no surprise that Carter is excited to join the Aggie ranks.

MLB trade rumors: 17 players who could be dealt by the 2025 deadline

If you're a baseball fan, you have the date July 31 tattooed on your brain: that would be the MLB trade deadline, the day when contenders get richer with deals, and the pretenders liquidate and reload for the future. We're 10 days away from the 2025 MLB trade deadline, so it's a good time to run through some of the big names available, along with the players who could be X-factors down the stretch for teams who deal for them. It's a thrilling time, as always! So let's run through a bunch of the noteworthy names reportedly available in MLB trade rumors: 3B Eugenio Suarez, Arizona Diamondbacks The, er, diamond of the deadline. He's a proven power hitter who's also leading the majors with 85 RBI as of publishing this. Any team in need of an upgrade to their lineups (hello, Yankees and Mets and pretty much everyone else) would love to have the third baseman. SP Zac Gallen, Arizona Diamondbacks He's lost the stuff that made him an ace-level starter, but that could just mean a change of scenery could do him right. SP Merrill Kelly, Arizona Diamondbacks Your standard aging starter who can be a perfect back-end SP on a possible World Series team. A no-brainer to trade for. LHP Tyler Anderson, Los Angeles Angels Similar to Kelly above! OF Luis Robert Jr., Chicago White Sox He's got speed, he's got power, and on the right team, he could re-discover what made him an All-Star in 2023. 1B Josh Bell, Washington Nationals He can still hit one over the wall on occasion! IF Ryan McMahon, Colorado Rockies A consistent 20-HR guy as your infielder. That's a good pitch, isn't it? SP Sandy Alcantara, Miami Marlins It's rough news for the Marlins, who hoped he'd rebound from Tommy John to be the top-end guy he once was. Nope. But he could still get a decent return. OF Cedric Mullins, Baltimore Orioles The O's are bad, so it's a time to sell off what they can. Sending away Mullins and his all-around toolbox is a good idea. 1B/OF Ryan O'Hearn, Baltimore Orioles A lefty bat with some pop. Not bad! SP Erick Fedde, St. Louis Cardinals A veteran who has flashes of good stuff could be a solid, low-priced addition. SP Luis Severino, Athletics He doesn't seem happy with the franchise and he hasn't pitched like he did for the Mets in 2024. Still, maybe he improves with a new zip code. RP Kyle Finnegan, Washington Nationals Here's your closer for reliever-starved teams. SP Mitch Keller, Pittsburgh Pirates Another possible starting pitcher who could solidify a rotation. OF Bryan Reynolds, Pittsburgh Pirates If the franchise decides to sell it all, the outfielder who's had 84-plus RBI three times in his career is a good buy. DH Marcell Ozuna, Atlanta Braves Hmm. If the Braves continue to be bad over the next week, do they deal the slugger? OF Taylor Ward, Los Angeles Angels He could be on his way to career high in dingers and RBI. Now's the time to sell high!

2 Braves Pitchers Linked To Potential Trade Ahead Of Deadline, Per Report

Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The Atlanta Braves are in quite a tough situation this year. They have a talented roster with a slew of stars, but they've completely failed to live up to preseason expectations. Because of this, the Braves will likely be among the most aggressive sellers in baseball at the trade deadline. Atlanta has multiple star players it could move in the coming weeks. If the front office plays its cards right, it should be able to bring in a lot of talented prospects. USA Today's Bob Nightengale recently reported that Braves relievers Raisel Iglesias and Pierce Johnson will be available in a trade ahead of the upcoming deadline. ATLANTA, GA - JULY 18: Raisel Iglesias #26 of the Atlanta Braves pitches in the ninth inning against the New York Yankees at Truist Park on July 18, 2025 in Atlanta, Georgia. ATLANTA, GA - JULY 18: Raisel Iglesias #26 of the Atlanta Braves pitches in the ninth inning against the New York Yankees at Truist Park on July 18, 2025 in Atlanta, Georgia. Matthew Grimes Jr./"Atlanta is expected to listen to trade offers for second baseman Ozzie Albies, center fielder Michael Harris and catcher Sean Murphy, but not until this winter," Nightengale wrote. "They are letting teams know that DH Marcell Ozuna, closer Raisel Iglesias and reliever Pierce Johnson are all available. Ozuna, who has 10-and-5 rights, can veto any trade." These two pitchers make perfect sense as trade chips for the Braves. Johnson is having a great year for Atlanta and would net a solid return on the trade market. He has a $7 million club option on his contract for next season, which should drive his trade value up a bit. Iglesias is in the middle of a tough season that isn't quite the norm for the righty. He's struggled quite a bit, but with his contract expiring at the end of the year, the Braves would be smart to move him. Both players should receive a lot of interest in the coming two weeks. Atlanta doesn't have any excuses not to move these players in trades to net a few solid prospects this season. More MLB: Braves Expected To Consider Trading $73 Million All-Star: Report
