Travis Kelce opens up on the downside of being Taylor Swift's boyfriend

Daily Mail4 days ago
NFL star Travis Kelce has opened up on the difficulties of being Taylor Swift 's boyfriend, during a recent podcast episode.
The couple - who are approaching their two-year anniversary - first sparked dating rumors in July 2023 before a first public appearance together in September that year.
Since then, the Chiefs tight end and global pop star have become nigh on inseparable and recently made headlines after Swift's surprise cameo at 'Tight End University '.
Now, during an appearance on the Bussin' With The Boys podcast, Kelce opened up his relationship with the singer.
He explained: 'We're having fun with it. It gets thrown out there, like we're trying to seek attention every now and then.
'We're just enjoying life and having fun going to hockey games, kinda introducing her to some more of the sports world.'
Swift appeared on stage at the 'Tight Ends & Friends' event in Nashville late last month
The Kansas City star also explained the one thing he struggles to 'grasp' which comes as part of the package when dating a celebrity like Swift.
'The paparazzi, that's probably the only thing I didn't really grasp until you're in it,' Kelce revealed. 'That's probably the craziest part though.'
'Like I'm just playing golf and all of a sudden in the trees, there's a f***ing guy with a camera. I just don't want my meat on Page Six, know what I mean?'
Recently, Kelce brutally snubbed girlfriend Taylor Swift and, instead, named an ex-NFL star as his dream guest for 'New Heights'.
The podcast, which is co-hosted by Kelce and his NFL legend brother Jason Kelce, has soared in popularity since the Kansas City Chiefs star's romance with Swift.
Ever since Kelce and Swift got together, listeners and fans of 'New Heights' have been keen for an episode with the pop star as a guest.

Trevor Rogers, Jackson Holliday lift Orioles over skidding Braves

July 6 - Trevor Rogers pitched 6 2/3 scoreless innings and Jackson Holliday homered to help the visiting Baltimore Orioles beat the Atlanta Braves 2-1 on Sunday to sweep their three-game series. It was the third straight win for the Orioles, who swept a series against Atlanta for the first time since 2015 and in Atlanta for the first time since 1999. It was Baltimore's fourth sweep of the season. The Braves have lost four in a row and dropped nine of their last 11. Atlanta fell to 11 games under .500. Rogers (2-0), who entered the game with a 0-7 career record against the Braves, allowed only four hits and two walks and struck out a season-high six. It was the third scoreless stint in five starts for Rogers, who lowered his ERA to 1.57. Baltimore reliever Seranthony Dominguez allowed a solo homer to Sean Murphy, his 13th, and a single to Ozzie Albies with one out in the ninth inning. Dominguez fanned Drake Baldwin and retired Michael Harris II on a grounder to earn his second save. Holliday went 4-for-4, the second four-hit game of his career, with a double and a home run. He supplied all the offense via a two-run homer in the third inning that just cleared the 16-foot brick wall in right field. It was his 11th of the season. Atlanta starter Grant Holmes (4-8) pitched six innings and allowed two runs on four hits and three walks with five strikeouts. Holmes was helped by the Braves' defense, which turned three double plays behind him. The Orioles placed Gary Sanchez on the injured list with a right knee strain, giving the team four catchers on the IL. They acquired Alex Jackson from the New York Yankees to serve as the backup. Jackson was batting .226 with 10 homers in 44 games for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The Orioles went 4-2 on their road trip and return home to start a three-game series against the New York Mets on Tuesday. The Braves went 2-7 on their homestand and begin a three-game series against the host Athletics on Tuesday. --Field Level Media

Eva Longoria, Shakira and Christie Brinkley are among the Hollywood stars sharing their devastated reactions to the catastrophic Texas floods that have left at least 67 dead. On Sunday, Longoria, who was born in was born and raised in the Lone Star State, took to Instagram to share her heartbreak for all the victims and families in Kerr County. The Desperate Housewives star, 50, revealed her heart was 'heavy' for 'all the flood victims in Texas.' '[It's] unbelievable, the flooding, and the camp that was affected. I know so many families that have been going to those camps for years,' she said in an emotional video. 'So sending my prayers to those families and communities. I'm so far away, so it feels harder when you're not close to do more.' The mother-of-one detailed how it has also been challenging for her to watch the ICE raids 'from afar' as she films her new series, Eva Longoria: Searching for France. Longoria went on to praise those 'fighting the good fight' after leaving a church and saying a prayer for all the immigrants out there. 'It's a heavy world right now. And I hope everyone is taking care of their mental health and dipping in and out of the news. You can't just stay in that cycle... it'll make you crazy but, at the same time, staying aware and on top of it,' she told her followers. Colombian superstar Shakira revealed she would be donating a portion of the proceeds at her San Antonio stop to a non-profit organization. 'Dear San Antonio, Our hearts and prayers are with those affected by the flood in Central Texas,' she wrote on her Instagram Story. We are donating a portion of tonight's show proceeds to Catholic Charities of San Antonio, who are providing disaster relief to the families impacted.' She continued: 'If you would like to join me in donating, please click on the link below. Your help is important and appreciated.' Stars like Christie Brinkley, Maren Morris and Katherine Schwarzenegger shared resources for how to help, including donating to the Red Cross, World Central Kitchen, Mercy Chefs and Kerrville Pets Alive!, a group working to rescue pets lost in the flood and reunite them with their families. Miranda Lambert, who founded the nonprofit organization MuttNation Foundation to help rescue animals and shelters, jumped on Instagram to urge fans to support her group's fundraiser. 'Hey y'all, I just wanna jump on here and say how devastated we are to hear about the floods in South and Central Texas. I can't come up with any words for the loss that everybody's suffering,' she said. The country star said she and MuttNation Foundation were working on finding ways to help pet owners in this disaster and get more information on the situation. 'Keep sending prayers and I'll keep you posted,' she said. Brooklyn Decker encouraged those living in Austin, Texas that want to provide flood relief support to Kerville, Ingram, Hunt and the surrounding areas, to drop off 'canned food, bottled water, clothing (all sizes), hygiene products, trash bags, brooms, shovels, basic cleaning and emergency supplies' to Commodore Perry Estate. Joanna Gaines shared that her heart goes out to 'everyone affected by the flooding along Guadalupe River, especially those still waiting for news about missing loved ones.' 'To the families, first responders, and entire communities impacted: we're praying for you, and are with you,' she concluded. As of Sunday morning, 67 had been confirmed dead, and 11 girls and one counselor from Camp Mystic are missing. Of the dead, 46 are adults and 21 are children, local officials said. The tragic fatalities occurred after the Guadalupe River surged nearly 30 feet above its normal height, devastating a children's summer camp and ripping apart families.

'New energy' from Delap, Gittens and Joao Pedro

Marc Cucurella says Chelsea newcomers - including Jamie Gittens, Joao Pedro and Liam Delap - have "a lot of quality" and hopes they can bring "fresh energy". The 26-year-old is one of the oldest players in Chelsea's squad and has emerged as one of their leaders. He was speaking after Gittens became their latest signing - joining from Borussia Dortmund in a £48.5m move, taking their total spend this summer to about £170m. Asked about what the new signings have added, Cucurella said: "I think this is good for Chelsea because we have new players with a lot of quality."They joined a club where we try to win every game. Hopefully, they bring good energy, the quality we know and we try to stay with them."I think it's early for them but hopefully they can bring fresh energy and a lot of quality."Chelsea beat Palmeiras 2-1 to reach the semi-finals of the Club World Cup, where they will face another Brazilian team - Fluminense - at Met Life Stadium in New Jersey. Palmeiras' goal was scored by 18-year-old attacker Estevao Willian, who is joining the Blues after a £52m move. "I think he's a good player with a lot of talent," said Cucurella. "We want to help him. We try to help him in all the things that we can."Cucurella has admitted regular signings and sales have previously made things tricky at Stamford Bridge."At the beginning, it was difficult because football is a lot of relationships," he said. "You stay close with one team-mate and then he leaves or you leave. "It's difficult, but I think we have a good group now. I think we have been together for a long time. The most important thing is that as a new player, you feel OK."You have confidence and you can show your personality in everything. If you feel this from the beginning, it's more easy to reach."Should Chelsea beat Fluminense they will face either Paris St-Germain or Real Madrid in the Club World Cup final."For all of us, it is very important," said Cucurella. "At this moment, we do not think about the fatigue. If we are tired, we want to enjoy this moment."It is a good opportunity to do something important, to be proud of our work and to play for Chelsea."
