2026 QB Bryson Beaver decommits from Boise State following Oregon Ducks offer
The Oregon Ducks extended an intriguing scholarship offer on Thursday night, reaching out to Boise State Broncos quarterback commit Bryson Beaver, a 3-star recruit in the 2026 class. After watching Beaver throw in a recruiting camp, the Ducks started courting him and extended the offer.
Less than a day later, Beaver has reportedly decommitted from Boise State and opened up his recruitment once again.
Beaver, who stands at 6-foot-3, 200 pounds, is rated by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 1,092 player in the 2026 class, and the No. 72 quarterback. On3 rates his as the No. 22 QB, though. He had been committed to the Boise State Broncos since April of this year but has been picking up some interest from other schools.
Per his 247Sports profile, Beaver was also visited by Ohio State Buckeyes' coach Billy Fessler last month. Beaver currently has offers from the likes of Boise State, Utah, Hawaii, Nevada, California, and UNLV, among others.
The Ducks are in on 5-star QB Ryder Lyons, who is visiting this weekend in Eugene but are expected to try and get another 2026 QB as well since Lyons plans to take an LDS mission after high school and won't enroll until 2027; no matter where he commits.

It's been an eventful summer for Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks' recruiting staff, and a successful one, at that. On Saturday afternoon, the Ducks wrapped up one of the best recruiting stretches we've seen in program history, adding their fifth 5-star player to the class with CB Davon Benjamin. The Oaks Christian star now joins the likes of 5-star safety Jett Washington, 5-star offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho, 5-star tight end Kendre Harrison, and 5-star edge rusher Anthony 'Tank' Jones. The 247Sports Composite ranks Benjamin as the No. 35 player in the 2026 class. After giving his pledge to the Ducks, Benjamin went on the Bussin' With the Boys podcast with Taylor Lewan and Will Compton and offered his reasoning for choosing Oregon. Ultimately, it came down to relationships with the staff. "I chose Oregon just based on the stability part of the coaching staff, how they've been recruiting me ever since my freshman year of high school," Benjamin said. "I'd say just how they approach the day-to-day basis of the little things, just checking in and seeing how I'm doing, seeing if I'm still working. Just keeping me grounded to earth, making sure that I'm doing the right things, really just building that connection with them over time, and them not putting on a facade just because this is a recruiting trip. They've been who they've been from the day I met them, all the way throughout." It doesn't come as a major surprise to hear this, seeing as Lanning has preached "relationships" throughout his time at Oregon when it comes to the recruiting world. It seems to be working well, too, with the Ducks' class now ranking No. 7 in the nation for this cycle, and potentially improving as we get closer to National Signing Day in December. Oregon Ducks offer Caden Moss, 5-star OT in 2027 class
A'lique Terry and the Oregon Ducks are in the midst of a scorching hot recruiting stretch, which saw 5-star OT Immanuel Iheanacho commit to the team earlier this summer. It appears that they are also trying to keep the ball rolling into the 2027 class, according to their latest scholarship offer. On Saturday, 5-star 2027 OT Caden Moss announced that he received an offer from the Ducks. Moss stands at 6-foot-5, 275 pounds, and is rated by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 20 player in the 2027 class, and the No. 4 OT. Moss currently holds offers from notable schools such as the Ohio State Buckeyes, Texas A&M Aggies, Alabama Crimson Tide, LSU Tigers, Oklahoma Sooners, Texas Longhorns, and Florida Gators, among others. At the moment, Oregon has two commitments in the 2027 class — 5-star WR Kesean Bowman and 4-star EDGE Cameron Pritchett. They had three commits in the class earlier this summer, but 4-star EDGE Prince Tavizon reclasssified and joined the 2026 class. Oregon Ducks land commitment from 5-star DB Davon Benjamin
Dand Lanning and the Oregon Ducks filled the summer offseason months with a lot of recruiting wins, and it doesn't appear that they are slowing down now that we're getting into fall, either. 5-star cornerback Davon Benjamin picked Oregon over the likes of the Texas Longhorns and Michigan Wolverines on Saturday afternoon. The 247Sports Composite rates Benjamin as the No. 35 overall player in the 2026 class, and the No. 4 safety. He stands at 6-foot, 170 pounds. While he is listed at safety, there is an expectation that he will move around in the secondary for Oregon. Benjamin is the Ducks' 17th member of the 2026 class, and the fifth 5-star player, which is the most in the nation. Ahead of Saturday, Oregon had the No. 8 class in the nation, but with the addition of Benjamin, they move up to No. 7. The commitment doesn't come as a major surprise, seeing as there was a crystal ball prediction from the 247Sports recruiting staff for Benjamin to pick the Ducks. With Benjamin now in the mix, Oregon wrapped up the remaining major targets left on its board. Over the next several months throughout the season, there are some players out there who the Ducks will likely work on trying to flip from other schools, and new prospects could pop onto the radar, but Oregon's class in 2026 has shaped up nicely.
