Devin Fitzgerald, a Notre Dame ‘26 target, named as a top performer during OT7's first day

Notre Dame football has more than a few wide receiver targets they are going after in the 2026 class, one of them being Devin Fitzgerald, son of legend Larry.
The younger Fitzgerald is getting close to announcing his decision, as a July 5th date has been scheduled. The 6-foot, 2-inch and 195-pound prospect isn't taking the summer lightly, as he's currently participating in the OT7 Championships.
His performance on day-one stood out, as he's currently was named as the No. 10 performer by On3 from the initial day of the tournament. It's great to see his name among the best, as he's criminally underrated by being the No. 488 overall prospect in the nation according to the 247Sports Composite.
Fitzgerald will pick one of Notre Dame, Stanford, Clemson or UCLA when he makes his decision in about a week, and it looks like the Irish have a leg up and will land the talented wide receiver.

LSU football closing in on adding five-star defensive end to 2026 recruiting class

LSU football is closing in on a five-star recruit. According to a report from On3/Rivals, LSU is the favorite for the services of EDGE Trenton Henderson, a native of Pensacola, Florida. The report states LSU's biggest competition is Florida and Texas. Henderson took official visits to all three schools this Summer. 247Sports labels Henderson a five-star, slotting him as the No. 4-ranked EDGE in the country. He's 247's No. 28 overall recruit. The On3 Industry Rankings slot Henderson No. 59 overall and No. 11 at his position. The Tigers have yet to add a pass rusher to the 2026 group, meaning Henderson would fill a key need. "Sprouting linebacker that can get after the quarterback as he comes screaming around the corner. Size has not been third-party verified, but is believed to be over 6-foot-4 and tipping the scales right around 225 pounds. Took a major step forward between sophomore and junior seasons – evoking much more confidence and physicality," wrote 247Sports' Director of Scouting Andrew Irvins. According to On3/Rivals, LSU's 2026 class ranks No. 6 in the country. Landing Henderson would put Brian Kelly and crew back in contention for the No. 1 class in college football.

USC Trojans Recruiting Target Sets Commitment Date, Party

Earlier this month, Feaster went on his official visit to USC. The four-star receiver is interested in the Trojans and playing in USC coach Lincoln Riley's offense. Riley also has a proven track record of having great quarterbacks which has greatly benefited wide receivers. "With USC, you know they will have a great quarterback throwing their receivers the ball with Lincoln Riley the head coach. They keep good players and the offense would be fun to play in," Feaster told On3 in February. Riley has coached three of the last eight Heisman trophy winners in quarterbacks' Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray, and Caleb Williams. All three of these players eventually went on to be No. 1 overall picks in the NFL Draft. Mayfield, Murray, and Williams are still starting quarterbacks in the NFL today. Feaster also spoke to 247Sports about USC prior to his visit on June 5. He acknowledged that this commitment decision between the four schools will not be an easy one to make. "It's going to be a real hard decision come July 4th," Feaster said. "The only thing I would say is that I'm kind of ready for it to get over with because of all the coaches I've built a relationship with over the years and the fact that I'm going to have to let three schools down…That's probably going to be the hardest part. The fact that I'm going to have to disappoint some people." The USC Trojans currently have No. 1 ranked 2026 recruiting class per 247Sports. USC also has the most amount of commits in the country with 30. Lincoln Riley is eyeing his best recruiting class since taking the USC job prior to the 2022 season. Leading this USC class is a pair of five-stars; offensive tackle Keenyi Pepe and tight end Mark Bowman. Adding Feaster to this class would be another feather in the cap for USC's offseason. There is a lot of momentum that is picking up for USC and it starts with this 2026 recruiting class.
