HIS raunchy scenes as loveable Freddie Jones in Rivals has re-established Danny Dyer as a TV hunk at 47.
So fans will be thrilled he's back in the buff in series two of Sky's Mr Bigstuff — even if the actor reckons the show's title isn't, ahem, perhaps the most fitting.

In the comedy, which returns to Sky and Now on Thursday, Danny's character Lee is a wayward geezer who rocks up at his straight-laced brother Glen's carpet factory, seeking a new chapter.
Laughing, Danny said: 'Ever run through a council estate naked? It's a whole new ball game, literally.
'I was concentrating on the weather, more than anything else, you know, that it wasn't too cold!
'It was broad daylight. I didn't go fully [nude], I had a little sock over my Hampton.'
The former EastEnders hardman didn't mind stripping off because it was important for the storyline, with Lee chasing down a thug who had thrown a brick through a window.
He added: 'You read this stuff, and you go, 'OK, I've got to physically do it'. But it's important to the show, it's a vital scene. You go, 'He's back'. It's the way of showing the alpha is back.'
It is all quite different to Danny's more romantic scenes in Disney+ bonkbuster Rivals.
And he reckons playing the two roles in tandem has finally proven his clout as an actor.
Danny mused: 'No one really saw me in that rom-com light. I'm really appreciative that Rivals went, 'No, this is what you're going to do, something completely different'.
'These two jobs came to me back-to-back, two very different roles. I did Rivals first. I came straight out of Rivals, shaved my tache off, and went into Mr Bigstuff.

Danny Dyer's TV comedy debut in new all-star series just days away as launch date is confirmed
'I picked up the script and went, 'No, this isn't Freddie, I'm not picking up where I left off'.'
In the past, Danny has firmly planted himself in his comfort zone as a Cockney hardman.
He said: 'I do feel when I did that show called Heat, on Channel 5, just after I left EastEnders after nine years . . . I was playing [EastEnders character] Mick, really. I'd played him for so long, you pick up habits.'
I'm sure Danny's fans won't mind if he makes nudity a habit.

Love Island's most brutal love triangle in years ended in explosions in Friday's episode, when Lauren Wood was booted out in a vote.
Some 24 hours later her man Harrison Solomon decided to follow, to the relief of the other woman in the love mess, Toni Laites.
It should have left peace to reign the ITV2 dating villa. But we all know Love Island bosses don't quite subscribe to that old adage 'make love, not war'.
Instead, they ramped up the drama with a savage kissing game. Emma received a text, which read: 'Islanders, pucker up and prepare to bring the passion.
"It's time to find out who's the ultimate snogger in today's kissing competition.'
The boys didn't hold back in their feedback, with Dejon slating Yasmin: 'That kiss was two words . . . no good. Zero out of ten.'
There's more romance on EastEnders than Love Island these days.

The new series starts with a picture that is believed to have been painted by Winston Churchill
Fake Or Fortune is back for a 13th series and it could prove lucky for one amateur art collector, who believes he has a piece painted by Sir Winston Churchill.
In tonight's opener on BBC One, Barry is hopeful the painting he bought for £140 at a Sussex fair could be a winner because hidden writing on the back notes it was painted in June 1916 by the wartime PM.
If the team of experts prove it's genuine, it could be worth half a million pounds.
Co-host Fiona Bruce said: 'As always, our investigations in this series have been full of twists.
'From an unloved picture hidden in a cupboard to one picked up by chance as part of a job lot at auction, the series continues to uncover hidden treasures.'
Nick Viall, who found fame on The Bachelor, and his wife Natalie Joy, who is 18 years younger, will host a new dating series on Netflix called Age Of Attraction.
It will see singles from 22 to 59 explore 'ageless' dating where they don't reveal their vintage. It airs later this year.

Trinny Woodall has built a multi-million-pound beauty business, but says she won't forget the ruin she faced after leaving BBC hit What Not To Wear for ITV version Trinny & Susannah Undress.
The show with Susannah Constantine only managed two series. It meant she had to take on work abroad and leave her young daughter Lyla.
Trinny today tells Fearne Cotton's Happy Place podcast: 'The biggest challenge for me was when Lyla was four and I stopped working in England.
'For a lot of the year, I left London on a Sunday and came back on a Friday.
'I now think what did Lyla lose by my not changing job to stay in the UK. I could have said, 'We'll downsize'.'
CBB star Angellica Bell has teamed up with Girlguiding as their newest ambassador.
She will unveil new badges for girls aged 4-18 across Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers.
The badge activities including interior design, creating calm spaces and discovering courage.
Martin's Nott a pain now
Line Of Duty star Martin Compston has revealed how his character went from 'pain in the arse' to hero, thanks to DI Steve Arnott being thrown down stairs by a villain.
After being in a wheelchair, Martin returned as a gun-toting saviour. Talking on Westlife star Nicky Byrne's HQ podcast, he said: 'My character is a pain in the arse; the dick wears a waistcoat and that annoying accent I do.
"They [the writers] said from that moment his relationship with the audience will change, they'll realise that if he was dead, what they'd lose.
'They were right. He was the hero of the show. Coming back – having been a wheelchair – with a gun felt like a moment.
'It took six years to get there.'

EastEnders icon returns to Albert Square next week - and it's bad news for Kat

It's been an exciting week for Kat Slater this week, as she took over as landlady of the Queen Vic - but her bubble may be burst with a huge bombshell dropping next week It's been a huge week in EastEnders for Kat Slater - as she learnt she'd be the new landlady of the Vic after a surprise last minute shake-up during the auction. ‌ Kat was left elated as her family are 'back where they belong' but her bubble may be burst next week as her relationship problems continue when Alfie returns to the Square. However, he refuses to tell her where he's actually been. ‌ Viewers (and Stacey Slater) know that Alfie left for Barcelona to find his step-daughter Zoe Slater. It came after she fled from Stacey's London flat after a close run-in with her estranged mother, Kat. However, Kat is still unaware of any of this, as Alfie told her he was off to Australia to see his brother Spencer. ‌ It didn't take long for Kat to work out this was a lie, after numerous phone calls to Spencer, with Alfie never able to come to the phone. Spoilers for next week reveal that Alfie will be making his return to the Square - but Kat's left fuming over her husband's lies. On Monday night (July 21) we saw a clip of a frantic Alfie ringing from Barcelona, telling Stacey he hadn't yet found Zoe. ‌ He then said the people that Zoe owed were asking for hard cash to cover Zoe's debts. He said he needed 50,000 Euros - as Stacey told Alfie she'd received £100,000 from Martin's life insurance. What she failed to mention was that the money was going to be lent to Kat for a deposit for the Vic. Stacey later told Kat she couldn't lend her the money anymore, but after words of wisdom from Jean, Stacey had a change of heart - and Kat was victorious in taking over the Vic. ‌ Spoilers for next week reveal that Alfie will return to the Square, but it's not a happy reunion with Kat as she tears into him for lying about where he's been. Kat's under the impression that Alfie went to help his daughter Cherry, who he shares with Hayley Slater, after Stacey confirmed Jean's theory in a bid to cover up where he really was. Alfie promises to never lie to her again, but Kat has heard this promise many times before. Of course, Stacey is the only one who knows the truth, but her mind is elsewhere next week as she celebrates Martin Fowler's birthday with her kids months on from his death. ‌ It's not only the Slaters facing family trouble next week as there's concern for Patrick Trueman, as his fiancé Yolande is left worrying that her partner is gambling ahead of their wedding. He doesn't listen, proceeding to keep things a secret and when he wins big on the horses he convinces Howie Danes to hide it from Yolande. Trouble for Patrick comes following the announcement of his son Anthony Trueman's return. With Anthony being Kat's ex - could that also bring trouble for Kat? EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

Coronation Street legend Maureen Lipman reveals difficulties she has on set

Coronation Street star Dame Maureen Lipman has spoken about the challenges she's faced on the ITV soap. The legendary actress, 78, has appeared as harridan Evelyn Plummer in the long-running serial drama since 2018, but since January has only appeared in a recurring capacity. Her exit story saw her depart for a university law course, prompted by best pal Roy Cropper (David Neilson). Maureen revealed that the reason behind her contract change was in order to 'have a bit of a life.' She last appeared on screen in March after learning that daughter Cassie (Claire Sweeney) had been cast out by the locals after being caught out for drugging and stealing from Ken Barlow (William Roache). Now, speaking on the 20 Questions podcast, Maureen has addressed the fast-paced environment working on Corrie, plus her distaste at the show's direction and scripts. 'One of the problems of being in a soap, for example, is because you're doing eight or 10 scenes a day, you read it, you move it, and then you film it,' she said. 'Boom, boom, thank you, and have another crack at it if something has gone wrong, but on the whole that's it. It's almost like radio, but there's cameras there.' She continued: 'You can't do anything. People are just talking heads. They're standing there going, 'Don't you talk to me like that…' if it's EastEnders. Or, 'I'll have a word with you…' if it's Coronation Street.' 'Nobody is picking their nose or scrubbing the sink down while they're talking, or making three Martinis. It's all just heads talking. 'That's not what life is like. You're in a bedroom somewhere and you're talking to me, you're listening, you're making notes … I'm picking up my phone… 'It's very complicated a human life, you never just do one thing.' She also noted that on her first day on set, show icon Barbara Knox told her that there's 'no time to do anything'. Maureen went on to comment about receiving very little direction in scenes. 'As far as directors are concerned it's a curious egg. I would love to work with somebody who knows more than I do about what you do on stage,' she added. Particularly in television, certainly on something like Corrie, you hardly get any direction at all.' Speaking about her late husband Jack Rosenthal, who penned 130 scripts between 1961 and 1969, she continued: 'You can only be as good as your writer.' More Trending 'So often you are making things work on television particularly. Slightly altering the words. 'Think about Coronation Street, which I love doing and I'm very fond of it, and I love the fact I can pop in and out. 'But every episode is a different writer so you basically never get, what you used to get when Jack wrote it, you would write a block of six, so the same voice, the same rhythms and you didn't have to worry about whether the words suited your character, it was there, it was a single voice. View More » 'A lot of the time now, in a series, you've got a different writer each one. You're sort of having to fit it into your mouth like a big fur glove and make it in character. That can make you a bit unpopular if you do it too much.' If you've got a soap or TV story, video or pictures get in touch by emailing us soaps@ – we'd love to hear from you.
