Ferne McCann's ex 'injected with steroids in jail' after major police probe

Daily Mirror22-06-2025

Ferne McCann's ex, Arthur Collins, is serving a 20-year sentence for hurling acid inside a London nightclub - leaving 16 people with chemical burns and three temporarily blinded
Ferne McCann's ex, Arthur Collins, has been caught getting a suspected steroid injection in jail, according to reports. The 32-year-old, who shares daughter Sunday, six, with TOWIE star, Ferne, 34, is serving a 20-year sentence for hurling acid inside a London nightclub - leaving 16 people with chemical burns and three temporarily blinded.
This week, the Mirror reported that Collins has been moved to a tougher jail after being probed over fears he was plotting to smuggle drugs into Cat C HMP The Mount using drones. In a video published yesterday - reportedly taken from The Mount on a phone smuggled into his cell - the dad-of-one can be seen with his top off, wearing a pair of tracksuit bottoms and appears to receive a jab in his buttock from another prisoner.
In the clip from The Sun, Collins is asked: 'Hey, bruv, what are you doing?' by a fellow lag before replying: 'Injecting.' The exchange shows Collins laughing, apparently receiving the injection as his pal jokes: "You think you're big or what?"
Collins could face disciplinary action after the body-building drug was seemingly sneaked into the jail, along with a handset used to record footage in his cell.
The former scaffolder was recently switched from The Mount Prison — where the footage was taken — amid fears he was plotting to import drugs using drones.
Claiming the criminal is 'constantly in trouble,' a source said: 'Collins has been in trouble constantly and doesn't seem to care. He goes around like he is the big 'I am' and as if he rules the roost.'
Prison chiefs launched an investigation over suspicions that dealers were flooding the Mount with drugs using drones. Concerns were raised that Collins had masterminded the plot in the Herts prison. No police investigation was carried out, but the Mirror revealed that Fern's ex has been moved to a tougher jail.
A source told us: "Collins has been at the centre of a major internal prison investigation. There were fears drug dealers had been using drones to flood HMP The Mount with drugs. It's a huge worry that tens of thousands of pounds worth of drugs were going to make their way into the jail.
"The police have not been called in as it has been dealt with internally. Collins has now been moved to another prison, which is a lot stricter."
Collins launched his acid attack on a packed dance floor at Mangle nightclub in Dalston, East London, during an Easter weekend night out in April 2017.
He had claimed he threw the substance by mistake after hearing a group of men plotting to spike a woman's drink.
The court heard that he picked up a container that he thought was a date rape drug and threw it away. But a jury found him guilty of carrying out the acid attack that left clubbers in agony and sparked a panicked evacuation and a massive emergency response.
He was convicted of five counts of grievous bodily harm with intent and nine of actual bodily harm.

Gabrielle Davies, 21, from Rotherham, South Yorkshire, claims she was standing at her doorway when the man made the crude motion towards her. Disabled Gabrielle called South Yorkshire Police, who came and took a statement from her community nurse. According to an email seen by The Sun, the investigating officer says she tracked down the man in the video footage, who does not live at the residence and is not based in South Yorkshire. However, the police told Gabrielle in an email: "He has given his version of events, stating that he was shaking ants [from] his shorts due to being sat on the grass prior. "He states that he did not see Gabrielle or speak to her at any point." The officer adds that it would be hard to prove malicious intent without seeing the footage leading up to the incident. As a result, the policewoman said the investigation has been closed following a discussion with her duty sergeant. Gabrielle, who lives in the house with her partner Joseph, said: "When the police went to speak to him he said he was shaking ants from his pants. "I really don't know how she believed that. I feel like it's not been investigated properly. "His excuse was pathetic, his gesture was clearly directed to me. "I want the police to reinvestigate it, he needs to be charged with indecency. I'm classed as a vulnerable person being disabled." A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: "We take every report of crime seriously, with a full investigation launched into this incident. "Following numerous enquiries, including the gathering of CCTV and witness statements, this investigation was filed due to a lack of a realistic prospect of conviction." Do you know more? Email

Kerry Katona's daughter Heidi in tears as she recounts harrowing childhood memory

Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Kerry Katona's daughter, Heidi, was reduced to tears as she recounted a harrowing childhood memory of witnessing her stepfather assault her mother. Heidi was just a child when Kerry was married to her third husband, former rugby player George Kay. Tragically, George passed away in 2019 at the age of 39 due to a drug overdose after reportedly consuming cocaine at a hotel. Now 18, Heidi - who views George as her father despite her biological dad being Kerry's second husband, taxi driver and drug dealer Mark Croft - has spoken candidly about her upbringing, confessing: "I saw things as a child I should not have seen." On one occasion, he even threatened to kill DJ by injecting her with heroin. Heidi, who aspires to follow in her famous mother's footsteps, now harbours mixed emotions towards the man she once called dad. In her first-ever interview with The Sun, she admitted: "I am grieving for him. But I also saw my dad hitting my mum.", reports the Mirror. "She didn't realise at the time how much I saw. It has an effect on who I am now. I saw things as a child I should not have seen. Mum sent me to a therapist but I don't see the point of it. I try to be tough. Like mum I use humour to cover things up, but it's not always easy." The 44 year old Atomic Kitten singer, known as much for her turbulent personal affairs as for her musical career, is a mother of five and thrice married. Kerry Katona's eldest daughters, Molly, 23, and Lilly-Sue, 22, are from her previous marriage to Westlife star Brian McFadden. Her middle children, Heidi, 18, and Max, 17, were born during her second marriage to Mark Croft. Notably, Heidi marked Father's Day by honouring Kerry on social media rather than her biological father, posting: 'The woman who did both jobs @kerrykatona7 Happy Father's Day. ' The youngest of the brood, 11 year old DJ, is from Kerry's third marriage to the late George Kay. Kerry Katona, who grew up in foster care, has seen her share of ups and downs over a 25-year spell in the spotlight, including careers in singing and reality television and experiencing bankruptcy twice. However, she has reclaimed millionaire status after starting an OnlyFans account, with her daughter Heidi divulging that Kerry sought her children's consent pre-joining the platform amidst lockdown. Heidi has spoken out about the family discussion, detailing how their mum said 'I want to do OnlyFans - tell me if you have a problem with that' and clarified the nature of the website. Heidi commented: "Lockdown meant her other work had stopped. We all agreed she should do it, she's a grown woman who makes her own decisions. "She bought us all Airpods with her earnings. I thought, 'This is great'. She's done glamour before, she's been pictured with her boobs out, there's not a huge difference. This way she takes control and makes money from her sexuality. "We didn't know at the time that she was struggling for money. She has hidden a lot from us over the years." Nowadays, her mum is living it up in a luxurious five-bedroom house in Cheshire and zipping around in a flashy Lamborghini, thanks to the cash from OnlyFans - Kerry reveals she's raking it in with feet pics. Heidi, however, has her eyes set on loftier goals; she's determined to become a solicitor or dive into property development. She's adamant about steering clear of Love Island too – she can't stand the thought of her mum spotting her snogging on telly. Gemma Collins left 'terrified' after being sent 'rat poison' to her Essex home

Gemma Collins was left terrified after a hate mail reportedly parcel containing rat poison was sent to her home recently - it comes just weeks after she called 999 after receiving hate letters Reality TV star Gemma Collins has reportedly upped security at her Essex home after a package containing "rat poision" was sent to her home. The 44-year-old, who lives with businessman fiancé Rami Hawash, is believed to have invested in 24-hour guard dog patrols and alerted Essex Police after the arrival of the package, which also contained a nasty letter. ‌ It comes just a couple of weeks after the Celebrity Big Brother icon was left 'shaken and very scared for her safety' after receiving a hateful letter from a man who wrote about his extreme dislike for her. ‌ It seems the escalation of hate mail, from a letter to "rat poision", has left Gemma "terrified" and fearful for her beloved pets who live with her in her stunning countryside home. A source close to Gemma told The Sun: 'The latest delivery was really scary for Gemma and she was genuinely terrified. It was delivered by the postman, but it had no postage stamp on it. "Gemma was worried because it contained rat poison, especially as she has animals at her home. She was already liaising with police over her earlier hate letter. "It was from a man who expressed his extreme dislike for her and used menacing language. The police have been fantastic and have some new leads. Gemma's trying not to let it get to her and is doing her best to focus on summer projects.' Sadly, it's not the first time the star has had a brush with the dark side of fame. She told a podcast in May that she has had several stalkers over the years, who had threatened her and sent 'terrifying' letters to her boutique in Brentwood. ‌ She said it 'played havoc on her mind' and was the reason she moved away from front-of-house work at the boutique. ' No one would believe the b****y crap I've had to deal with,' she confessed. 'I've had a woman stalker who wrote me a letter in white gloves and wanted to kill me. People would wish me dead. "I'd get all sorts at the shop. People are weird. And that's why I came away from my shop.' And, in 2019, it was revealed that Gemma had called the police after being targeted by a stalker – a man who she claimed had previously verbally abused her outside her home over six days. The experience was so traumatic that it made her question if she could stay in Essex. The Mirror has reached out to Gemma's representatives and Essex Police for comment.
