Stevie Adams, a car passenger who was caught up in the delay, said: "Seeing the horse with a police car chasing it the wrong way down the slip road was not something you see every day...felt sorry for the poor horse, it must have been scared."

Driver and passenger die in collision with HGV on A17
A man and a woman have died in a two-vehicle collision. Norfolk Police said the incident happened on the A17 at Clenchwarton, near King's Lynn, when a Mercedes-Benz GLC 220 Sport Premium collided with a white Volvo HGV at about 09:51 BST on Thursday. The road was closed at the Pullover Roundabout while emergency services, including fire and ambulance, attended. The force said the driver of the Mercedes, a man, and a female passenger died at the scene. The road remains closed and Norfolk Police said it would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who has any relevant dashcam footage. Newcastle-under-Lyme street closed due to unsafe building
A busy town centre road in Staffordshire has been closed because of an unsafe closure was put in place on Bridge Street, Newcastle-under-Lyme, on Wednesday after the borough council's building control service raised concerns about the privately-owned Sweeney, the authority's cabinet member for town centres, said businesses and the nearby Castle Car Park would remain open while safety inspections were carried out."If you are driving to the shops or car park, please follow the diversion notices in place," he added.
