An injury to Chad Gable has forced WWE to scrap plans for a unique match at SummerSlam. The company will present its first-ever two-night SummerSlam event in just over a month.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE had plans for a major gimmick match between Chad Gable and Penta El Zero Miedo. The bout was scheduled for SummerSlam.
The plan was for a Mask vs. Mask match. It would have featured Penta against Gable's suspected masked alter-ego, El Grande Americano.
The report notes that this match will no longer be happening. The on-screen angle where Penta attacked Gable backstage was used as the blow-off to their rivalry for now.
