India Surges Forward Under PM Modi's Visionary Leadership' – S. Ramachandra Reddy at Gattu Mandal BJP Meet
Speaking at the gathering held in front of local resident Madhu Swamy's house, Reddy stated, 'Since Modi Ji became Prime Minister, the country has witnessed unprecedented development across sectors. Under his leadership, India has moved up from being the world's 11th largest economy to the 4th largest today.'
He elaborated on the major achievements of the BJP-led central government over the past 11 years, highlighting initiatives such as:
Massive expansion and modernization of national highways, including over 55,000 kilometers completed in the last decade alone, compared to 91,287 km in the entire pre-2014 period.
Construction of double railway lines, railway electrification, and station beautification.
Introduction of high-speed trains like Vande Bharat Express.
Increase in the number of airports from 80 to 160.
Establishment of new medical colleges in every district and world-class institutions like IITs and IIMs.
Achievement of near-complete rural electrification.
Construction of 4 crore houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
Nationwide toilet construction, free ration distribution, and doubling of Minimum Support Price (MSP) for farmers.
Implementation of the PM-Kisan scheme for direct farmer support.
Substantial investments in rural and urban development as well as defense infrastructure.
Reddy also conducted a field review of the ongoing Bharatmala project's Chennai-Surat highway construction near the mandal, highlighting that 52 kilometers of the highway are being laid in the district at a cost of ₹950 crore.
He emphasized that such projects stand as strong testimony to the Modi government's commitment to infrastructure development and inclusive growth, particularly in rural and backward regions like Jogulamba Gadwal.

Cong leaders gobbling up farmers' lands in Pharma City, alleges KTR
Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Wednesday accused the Congress leaders of competing with Bakasura 'in greed' and devouring Telangana's lands, targeting the ruling party leaders for taking lands from the farmers in Pharma City, which has now been cancelled. The BRS working president criticised the Congress leaders for forcibly registering in their names the residential plots allotted by the KCR government as compensation to displaced farmers in Maheshwaram and Ibrahimpatnam constituencies of Rangareddy district. 'These Congress leaders, who would even steal from the five elements, are shamelessly looting farmers who gave lands for the development of the state,' lashed out Rao. The BRS leader reminded that the Congress party came to power promising to cancel Pharma City and return lands to the farmers, a promise they have now completely forgotten. He recalled that farmers voluntarily gave land in support of former CM KCR's visionary plan to set up the Green Pharma City across 19,400 acres. In return, the BRS government provided generous compensation Rs 16.5 lakh per acre for patta land and Rs 8.5 lakh per acre for assigned land and allotted 1,400 acres in Mirkhanpet of Kandukur mandal to distribute residential plots. A large layout was developed over 560 acres, with 121 sq. yards of residential plot offered for every acre surrendered. However, due to the Assembly elections, the land distribution process was temporarily paused. Now, KTR accused the Revanth-led Congress government of deliberately withholding land handovers for the last 18 months to loot them. He also pointed out that a 330-foot-wide green field road alignment was fixed right through this layout, causing further injustice to farmers. He slammed the Congress leaders for abusing their power and shamelessly exploiting Telangana's people. He alleged that some Congress leaders were intimidating farmers and buying their plots for throwaway prices. While the market rate is Rs 30,000 per sq. yard, these leaders are purchasing plots at just Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,000 per sq. yard through coercion. 'Revanth Reddy promised to return the land, but now his party leaders are looting the rightful plots of farmers in broad daylight,' KTR condemned. He demanded that the state government immediately intervene, cancel all illegal registrations being done by Congress leaders, and ensure that the lands are rightfully handed over to the farmers.

'Helps connect with people across country': Amruta Fadnavis backs Hindi; calls for it to be taught in Maharashtra schools
Amruta Fadnavis (File Photo) In a remark that could provide fresh ammunition to the opposition, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis's wife Amruta Fadnavis on Wednesday said Hindi should be taught in schools, as it helps connect with people across the country. Her statement came three days after the BJP-led government withdrew a government resolution (GR) which introduced Hindi as a third language from Classes 1 to 5. "Marathi is number one (language) for Maharashtra, no doubt about it. To communicate at the global level, English is useful. But for connecting with people across the country, from North to South and East to West, I personally feel Hindi could be included in the curriculum," Amruta Fadnavis told reporters here. Students should have the freedom to choose from available language options, she said, adding, "It will help in promoting inclusivity. Students should get options to learn (languages) and they can choose," she added. The Fadnavis government had initially announced in April that Hindi would be introduced as a third language from Class 1, triggering criticism from opposition parties who accused the BJP of trying to `impose' Hindi at the cost of Marathi. The government then said it was putting the decision on hold, but a fresh GR clarified that Hindi could still be taught as an optional third language. The move drew even stronger backlash, and opposition parties and groups such as the Marathi Abhyas Kendra mounted pressure on the government, forcing it to withdraw the two GRs and announce the formation of a committee to review the policy.

MUMBAI: A day after BJP legislator Ameet Satam made a provocative statement suggesting that a Khan might become the Mayor of Mumbai, Samajwadi Party (SP) legislator Rais Shaikh stated that Mumbai belongs to people of all castes and religions. He emphasized that Parsis, Bohris, Memons, Patels, Agris, Kolis, and Muslims have all previously served as mayors of the city. "Even if a Khan becomes the mayor tomorrow, he will contribute to the development of Mumbai," said MLA Rais Shaikh during his speech in the Assembly. 'No one owns Mumbai. People from all castes and religions have contributed to its growth. If we look at the list of mayors since 1931, we find names like J. B. Boman, H. M. Rahimtullah, Y. J. Mehar Ali, S. P. Sabawala, E. A. Bandukwala, A. U. Memon, and S. K. Patil,' said Shaikh. "The claim of changing the 'color' of Mumbai is completely baseless." But when will the traffic issues here be resolved?' MLA Shaikh asked. 'The redevelopment of buildings in Bhiwandi is not progressing. As a result, unauthorized constructions are increasing, and the number of dangerous buildings is rising,' said Shaikh. Satam had on Tuesday said in the Legislative Assembly that a conspiracy is underway to polarize the city for vote-bank politics. Satam said in the days to come, 'some Khan will become the Mayor of Mumbai, adding that attempts are being made to polarize and divide Mumbai. While efforts have been made to modernize and secure the city through infrastructure projects under CM Devendra Fadnavis, there are also attempts by certain elements to change the colour of Mumbai, Satam had said.
