Temuera Morrison Thinks ‘Star Wars' Isn't Done With Boba Fett Yet

Gizmodo15-06-2025
Just when The Mandalorian brought him back and teased big things for him, Boba Fett got kind of a raw deal once his own show dropped. Disney's not given it a second season or even so much as mentioned it, to the point just last year, star Temuera Morrison was unsure about his character's future. But maybe things are at a point to where it could be his time once more?
While promoting his current film Ka Whawhai Tonu (In The Fire of War), Collider asked Morrison what the deal was. Along with going 'where's my season 2?,' he suggested coming in for Ahsoka's second season to play an older version of Ahsoka's clone trooper buddy Rex. More interestingly, he mentioned seeing Mandalorian co-creators Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau at Star Wars Celebration, where they had a group hug and he thanked them for letting him come back as Boba Fett.
Morrison then teased the pair 'didn't want to say too much, but they just left it at that.' Whatever that means, the actor likens his and the bounty hunter's stasis as going to your grandmother's and seeing 'that preservative jar of peaches up on the shelf. I'm one of those peaches, and I've been put up on the shelf. I've been preserved for a later date, and I'm going to be tastier.'
To support Morrison's point, there's a few Favreau and Filoni-adjacent avenues for him to return, including another animated anthology miniseries or next year's Maul: Shadow Lord series. Even if he doesn't make it into Ahsoka's next season or whatever Mandalorian & Grogu ends up, we're likely to see the actor or Boba back sooner or later.

Fat Joe Responds to Ex-Hypeman's Underage Sex Claims: ‘Disgusting Lies'

Fat Joe has officially responded to a salacious lawsuit filed by his ex-hypeman that accuses him of pedophilia, forced labor and sex trafficking, taking to Instagram to deny the claims and reassure fans. The post on Wednesday (June 25) is Fat Joe's first personal statement since he was sued last week by Terrance 'T.A.' Dixon, who accused the rapper of running a wide-ranging racketeering enterprise in which he trafficked underage girls for sex and subjected his employees to abusive working conditions. Fat Joe's attorneys have vehemently denied the claims and already have a pending counter-lawsuit accusing Dixon and his lawyer, Tyrone Blackburn, of extortion. More from Billboard Lawyer for Fat Joe's Ex-Hypeman Arrested After Allegedly Hitting Rapper's Process Server With Car Chris Brown Pleads Not Guilty to Assault Charges Over London Nightclub Fight Trump Extends TikTok Ban Deadline for a Third Time 'I've been tested the last few months — I've lost my big brother, my father, my mother and now I'm fighting against these disgusting lies,' wrote Fat Joe in the Instagram post. 'But please know I will not break and I will NEVER back down.' The rapper's statement echoes his attorneys' allegations that Dixon fabricated the claims in pursuit of a payday. 'They figure they can make up the most insane stories and, if they threaten you with a lawsuit, then you'll pay and they'll feel like they finally won,' he continued in the post. 'Problem with your theory,' he added, 'I've never let anyone on the streets extort me, so how would I ever let a crooked attorney and a coward ex-hype man extort me?? I'm from the Bronx!' Fat Joe's statement concludes by taking a dig directly at Blackburn: 'Since you want the clout, we will finish you in court. The time of lawyers using their law license as a badge to extort people and destroy families with no evidence is over!! I'm not the one!! You've messed with the wrong one this time!' The statement arrived the same day as another strange twist in the dispute, after Blackburn was arrested Wednesday morning and charged with assault for allegedly running over Fat Joe's process server with his car last month. Blackburn has pled not guilty to the charges, and his defense lawyer told Billboard the case seems to be 'at the very least…a misunderstanding or an accident, and at the most an attempt to extort some money out of my client.' Ye & Sean Combs' Son King Release ‘Never Stop' EP, Including a Song Called ‘Diddy Free'

Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) and Diddy's son King Combs have dropped a surprise EP titled Never Stop. The embattled rapper and Puff's son released the project on streaming services at midnight Friday (June 27). Ye served as executive producer, and North West — his eldest daughter with ex-wife Kim Kardashian — is featured on the song 'Lonely Roads.' Another track worth noting is 'Diddy Free,' which includes the chorus, 'N—as ain't goin to sleep 'till we see Diddy free.' Ye pulled up to Puff's trial in Manhattan earlier this month. The rapper — who has been facing criticism over his repeated hate speech the last few years — told one journalist that he had come to show support for the disgraced Bad Boy Records founder. Sean Combs has been on trial since May, facing allegations of sex trafficking and racketeering. Federal prosecutors have accused him of managing an elaborate criminal ring aimed at facilitating his alleged freak-offs — drug-fueled events wherein he allegedly coerced women, including his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, to have sex with others. His legal team has denied all of the charges, with Combs' attorney Teny Geragos claiming in opening statements: 'Sean Combs is a complicated man, but this is not a complicated case. We take full responsibility that there was domestic violence. Domestic violence is not sex trafficking.' Diddy's family has remained firmly in support of him, with his daughters attending his trial on Thursday (June 26). Listen to King Combs and Ye's new EP below.
