John Cena and CM Punk ran it back one last time at WWE Night of Champions 2025, and it was 'The Champ' who reigned surpreme in a chaotic main event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
At WWE's latest overseas spectacle, Cena put his WWE Championship on the line against arguably his greatest rival of all-time for the first time in more than a decade. As expected, the two bitter foes battled back-and-forth in a spectacular match, reminding WWE fans why they are each other's best dance partner.
On more than one occasion, it looked like Punk would best Cena and win the WWE Championship for the first time since 2013. But Cena had other plans, and after a slew of interference from stars like Penta and Seth Rollins, Cena was able to retain his WWE Championship.
Some of the key highlights of Cena vs. Punk at WWE Night of Champions 2025 were:
WWE Night of Champions 2025 Results For John Cena Vs. CM Punk
The climax of Cena vs. Punk at WWE Night of Champions came when Cena teased a babyface turn, only to attempt a low blow on Punk and take advantage of Rollins' interference to pick up the win.
That capped off what was the latest stellar encounter between Cena and Punk, who are past their prime and certainly a step slower but are still able to create magical moments that matter. In front of a red hot crowd in Riyadh, Cena and Punk were able to put on a show that reestablished their all-time great rivalry and hinted at a future babyface turn for Cena.
Of course, WWE ensured that Punk was protected even in defeat, with Cena only winning after a ton of outside interference, including a thwarted cash-in by Rollins. That marked the third consecutive major title match in which Cena walked out as WWE Champion without a clean victory.
Yes, it was more of the same for heel Cena, who eked out a win over Randy Orton at Backlash and did exactly that against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41. That is perfectly fitting of Cena's heel character that is striving to 'ruin wrestling,' but it's becoming incredibly tiresome.
Cena continues to retain the WWE Championship through nefarious means just as he did at WWE Night of Champions 2025, and he will eventually need to get his comeuppance. But the teases of a face turn in Riyadh may prevent that from happening.
At WWE Night of Champions 2025, the creative team laid the framework for a major SummerSlam match: John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes II.
Anyone who was paid close attention to Triple H's booking over the past few years could see that Cena's win over Rhodes at WrestleMania 41 was ultimately going to lead to a rematch between the two stars. Cena's WrestleMania victory was all about getting that record-breaking 17th world title win, and now that he has it, there's no reason to keep the title on him for too long.
During his run in the King of the Ring tournament, Rhodes defeated both Jey Uso and Randy Orton, giving 'The American Nightmare' a pair of marquee victories over two of WWE's biggest and most beloved stars. Surely, that wasn't a mere coincidence.
Rhodes getting those two victories has set up a blockbuster rematch between Rhodes and Cena that gives the two stars a re-do after their disastrous WrestleMania 41 match. And if WWE's creative team has any idea what it's doing, Rhodes will leave SummerSlam as world champion as Cena transitions back to his natural face role.

Woman Defends Mentioning Husband's Deployment to Middle East on TikTok After She's Accused of 'Breaking OPSEC' (Exclusive)
Cassady Yarbrough is a military spouse whose husband is currently deployed overseas Following the news of a ceasefire between Iran and Israel, she took to TikTok to post a video she believed to be harmless Commenters thought otherwise and accused her of "breaking OPSEC"Cassady Yarbrough is a stay-at-home mother who often shares candid lifestyle content, including the unique challenges of life as a military spouse with a deployed husband in the Army Reserve. "Each deployment brings its own emotions. It's always hard to say goodbye, and even though I've been through it before, it never gets easier - just more familiar," she tells PEOPLE exclusively. "I'm naturally pretty independent, and I've learned how to manage things on my own, especially while taking care of our two girls." On June 24, 2025, she revealed that her husband was deployed in the Middle East on TikTok. In the clip, Yarbrough is seen mouthing the words to a popular audio track: "I wanna be sparkly, in pinks and purples, but the world is on fire and I am angry." "But I just saw there is a cease I don't need to be angry anymore," she captioned the video, referencing the ceasefire agreement brokered between Iran and Israel one day prior. "This is actually his fourth time deploying to the Middle East - once before we met when he was in the Marine Corps, and this is our third time since we've been together," Yarbrough explains. "I'd be lying if I said the current situation doesn't feel a little more intense. But based on where he is and what he's doing, I don't feel overly worried. We've been through this before and trust each other completely." Earlier in the week, President Donald Trump announced that the United States had bombed three nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz and Esfahan. Iran responded by launching a missile strike against a U.S. military base in Qatar. With tension escalating between Israel and Iran – especially after the two countries reportedly broke the ceasefire Trump announced on June 23 – viewers cautioned the 33-year-old mom from Nebraska to be more careful with what she reveals online. In the comments, other military wives and soldiers chimed in on whether Yarbrough was "breaking OPSEC" (Operational Security) with her video. 'As an army wife myself, please don't post things like this,' one commenter wrote. 'Always respect OPSEC, for the safety of your husband, my husband, and all other soldiers!!" Another commenter took to Yarbrough's defense, writing, 'Girl, we're not at war with anyone. YET there's no OPSEC and the Middle East is a very vague term. She's fine. - As a soldier.' An official from the U.S. Department of Defense tells PEOPLE that Yarbrough did not, in fact, "break OPSEC," as Operations Security is actually a process rather than a code that can be broken. According to the definition provided by the official, "OPSEC is the process by which we protect critical information, whether it is classified or unclassified, that can be used against us. It focuses on preventing our adversaries' access to information and actions that may compromise an operation. OPSEC challenges us to look at ourselves through the eyes of an adversary and deny the adversary the ability to act." While it's something to take extremely seriously, simply stating that your spouse or someone you know is deployed is not a violation, given there are nearly 40,000 people deployed in the Middle East. If a spouse were to reveal sensitive information, such as the exact location of soldiers and their operational details, which could jeopardize missions and soldier safety, the official says they wouldn't be arrested. Instead, the compromised operation could change and adapt to ensure soldier safety, and the spouse would get little to no information about missions in the future. In a follow-up video addressing the comments, Yarbrough explained that she purposefully left the location vague and even asked her husband of 15 years if she had broken OPSEC, to which he responded, "No." 'I promise I know what I'm doing,' she captioned the post. 'I understand the world is crazy right now, just wanted to make a funny video.' Yarbrough was in disbelief that viewers would think the video was more than just a joke. She believes it's important for other military spouses to see that they can share their experiences without crossing any lines. Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. "Honestly, when I saw those comments, I kind of rolled my eyes. I take OPSEC seriously and would never put my husband or anyone else at risk," she tells PEOPLE. "I even ran the video by him before I posted it, just to be sure everything I said was okay. It's easy for people online to jump to conclusions without knowing the full story." Despite ongoing uncertainties, President Trump has repeatedly insisted that the ceasefire is still in effect and that the U.S. is not at war. Read the original article on People

Kittle To Let Wife And WWE Guide His Retirement Plan from 49ers
Kittle To Let Wife And WWE Guide His Retirement Plan from 49ers originally appeared on Athlon Sports. George Kittle is arguably the top all-around tight ends in the NFL, with some San Francisco 49ers numbers that prove it. Advertisement In 2024, he finished with 78 catches for 1,106 yards and eight touchdowns despite a major down year for the team. ... and at age 31, the Kittle arrow remains pointing up. But when that's done? He has a retirement plan ... to move into a different "sport.'' Kittle's status as one of the most productive offensive players in the league is what helped him earn a four-year $76.4 million deal this offseason ... making him the highest-paid tight end in NFL history. But as he revealed on the "Bussin with the Boys" podcast, the length of that extension may be the final window of his career in the NFL. 'I don't know, I think if I get to 35 and it hurts to put pants on in the morning, I think I'll be like, 'Ah, this isn't that much fun anymore,' and I'll have a conversation with myself. But I'm feeling great right now.' Advertisement But when he doesn't feel great about getting beaten up in the NFL ... He's thinking of throwing his hat into the ring ... in the ring of WWE. 'I haven't daydreamed about it or anything like that, but I'm definitely aware that there are potential opportunities and doors that could be open.... I would love to do WWE. I think there's definitely opportunity within that world.'' Yes, George is a fan of pro wrestling. And he is a character in his own right, so it is easy to envision the jump ... 'My only question mark with that is I so much love being a fan of WWE. I would only do WWE if I bought a ring and practiced my ass off for a long time so I wouldn't look like an idiot out there,'' he said. "I've been in a WWE ring like three times. I don't know what I'm doing out there. I have an understanding of how it works ..." Advertisement WWE stardom would be quite the retirement plan for Kittle. Kittle often makes appearances at notable WWE events, so the transition from fan to wrestler would be quite the site, even if for occasional contests. Oh, and yes, his wife Claire will get a vote here. 'Literally, (I'll play) until I don't have fun anymore,' Kittle said. 'Or if Claire looks at me and goes, 'You kinda look like (expletive) out there, you should retire. I'll be like, 'All right.' Jake Paul faces unusual call out from former boxing champion
The former boxing champion known as Butterbean announced on Sunday he was back for "one more fight" as part of a campaign with Lucky Energy, and he called out Jake Paul. Butterbean, whose real name is Eric Esch, is 58 years old, but that didn't appear to be a problem in the ad he was in. The clip showed the former boxer get up from his wheelchair to call out Paul. "There's only one fighter out there who wants to fight retired bald guys. Jake Paul, I'm coming for you," he said in the commercial posted to Instagram. "… I want to fight Jake Paul because he runs his damn mouth too much." The commercial also took a shot at the Paul brothers' energy drink, Prime, which is a major sponsor in WWE as Logan Paul competes as a wrestler there. Butterbean, 58, was the IBA world super heavyweight champion during his career and won the Elite-1 MMA super heavyweight championship when he tried his hand at mixed martial arts. He was 77-10 as a boxer and 17-10 as an MMA fighter. After he hung up the gloves, Butterbean dealt with chronic pain that hampered his mobility and put him in a wheelchair for about nine years. He worked with WWE legend "Diamond" Dallas Page's yoga program to regain his ability to stand up and walk. Paul has taken the boxing world by storm since he began his foray into the sport. He defeated Julio Cesar Chavez via unanimous decision. It was his first bout since the spectacle with Mike Tyson.
