Kaizer Chiefs star: Flop at club level, STAR for his country
Rwanda National Team manager Adel Amrouche has confirmed French interest in Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari. The 25-year-old was a regular in the Chiefs first team when he arrived, but inopportune injuries have pushed him down the pecking order. Ntwari, who came from TS Galaxy in July 2024, has only made seven appearances for Chiefs.
'There is a second division club from France; they also asked me about him,' Amrouche told FARPost .
Despite his struggles at club level, Ntwari has been a regular for his country during World Cup qualifiers. Ironically, Ntwari's Rwanda are in Group C of qualifiers alongside South Africa. They're sitting relatively pretty with eight points after six outings. It's not out of the question that both nations could qualify for the 2026 showpiece staged in Mexico, Canada and the United States. 25-year-old Ntwari, who stands at 1.94m tall, has 12 caps for his nation and will look to build on that as we approach a World Cup year.
'I trust the coaches at Chiefs, and I hope between now and June, he's going to get his chance to play again because we need him for the rest of the qualifiers.'
'He was good. I thought the lack of game time would affect him, but he was good. You can see his teammates trust him, and I also trust him. I have a lot of confidence in him because of his qualities. He's also an incredible person to work with. He's a hard worker, and the players love him. People love him in Rwanda.'
Since a move from Cape Town City in July 2023, Mduduzi Mdantsane has failed to make the grade at Kaizer Chiefs. In 16 appearances, he failed to score a single goal and spent large periods on the sidelines. At his peak value, transfermarkt estimates that Mduduzi Mdantsane was at his most desirable in the market in February 2023. They gauged him to be worth 1.2m (R22.8 million). Now, just under two years later, they figure he's worth half that (R11.4 million). Injuries have ravaged his time at Naturena, including an unfortunate one sustained in a car accident. However, when fit, his form hasn't been to the standard expected by Chiefs. A loan spell with Richards Bay in 2024-2025 has proved to be the final nail in his Amakhosi coffin.

'What Sipho Mbule needs at Pirates': Ex-Kaizer Chiefs coach
Former Kaizer Chiefs head coach Cavin Johnson says he would have signed Sipho Mbule back then when he was still in charge of the Glamour Boys. The 66-year-old coach took over the reins in 2023 after Molefi Ntseki was sacked at Chiefs. Despite a decent start to his tenure, Amakhosi eventually collapsed and finished 10th at the end of the season. When asked about Orlando Pirates' new signing Sipho Mbule, Johnson admitted that he wouldn't have thought of him when he was coach of Kaizer Chiefs. he said that there were off-the-field incidents reported on the midfielder. 'Sipho Mbule just needs to ensure that he stays out of trouble with the club because of his history,' Johnson told KickOff. 'He needs to have a good pre-season, stay off social media, and concentrate on his game. He is a good player. 'Would I have signed him at Chiefs given the opportunity? When I was at Chiefs, there weren't good reports about what Mbule was doing, so I wouldn't have done it back then,' Johnson added. 'But now that he has changed his mindset and Orlando Pirates have given him an opportunity, I only wish him the best.' 'I love Chiefs but I support Pirates'
Kaizer Chiefs legend Brian Baloyi has revealed that he has always been a supporter of Orlando Pirates despite playing the majority of his career with Amakhosi. The 51-year-old retired goalkeeper played over 400 matches for Chiefs before joining Mamelodi Sundowns in 2004 where he won two league titles with them. Between 1997 and 2009, Baloyi featured 24 times for Bafana Bafana and was the first-choice keeper at the Africa Cup of Nations in 1998. The Chiefs legend has revealed that he has always been a big supporter of Pirates. 'I'm not confused. The person that always tries to expose me is Jerry Sikhosana, every time we're together in many interviews, he always tells people that I'm a Pirates supporter and I don't deny it,' Baloyi said iDiski Dine YouTube Channel. 'But the reason I support Pirates is that my uncle played for Pirates, my uncle was a Pirates captain, Phil Jones Setshedi.
