Tom Cruise Shows Off Insane ‘Mission: Impossible 8' Stunt Hanging From Upside-Down Plane
Tom Cruise once again showed off his impressive stunt skills in some newly released behind-the-scenes footage of 'Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.'
In the clip he shared to X on Friday, the 62-year-old actor can be seen hanging from a plane that's flying upside-down.
'Jesus Christ,' 'M:I8' director Christopher McQuarrie says as he watches. Cruise posted the video with the caption, 'Hang on…'
In the 13-second clip, Cruise is seen holding on tight to a narrow bar that's attached to the top of a yellow plane.
The video moves from a close up to a full view of Cruise, who appears to be at least 4,o00 to 8,000 feet in the air.
It's shocking and heart-racing, but Cruise isn't new to this. The veteran actor has become known for doing his own daring stunts and even went viral last year after footage of him riding a motorcycle off a 1,246-meter cliff hit the Internet. The scene was filmed for 'Mission: Impossible 7.'
Cruise said Thursday that the upcoming eighth installment is an 'experience' you have to see in theaters.
'You gotta see the movie,' he told Empire. 'It's a hard thing for me to discuss at the moment, because it really is something that you have to experience.' He added that the film is 'an epic, emotional journey of the entire franchise… it's Homeric.'
'Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning' hits theaters on May 23.

PHOTOS: 'Days of Thunder,' 'F1': 2 blockbusters that put Daytona racing front and center
It's been a while since a big Hollywood production made the Daytona International Speedway and the Daytona Beach area such an important part of the movie. "F1," the latest blockbuster starring Brad Pitt and made in part by the team behind 2022's hit "Top Gun: Maverick," is now in theaters nationwide, and features thrilling racing sequences at the venue, and scenes filmed at locations locals will recognize. Pitt and fellow cast members filmed scenes the Speedway and were even spotted at Pappas Drive-In & Family Restaurant in New Smyrna Beach, as well as at Christina's Coin Laundry. Shortly after filming scenes for 'F1' in January 2024, Pappas was destroyed by an overnight fire three months later. Another film to heavily involve Daytona Beach and the Speedway was 1990's "Days of Thunder," starring Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. A movie that not only featured the area's iconic locations, but whose characters take much inspiration by NASCAR legends with deep connections to Daytona, such as Dale Earnhardt, Bill France Jr. and others. The action-drama stars Cruise and Kidman — who met on the set, including shooting at the Speedway. Their marriage was one of the most celebrated of the 1990s but ended in 2001. In both its production and critical acclaim, "Days of Thunder" also had its ups and downs. Infighting between the producers and director led to a three-month delay in the completion of filming, swelling its budget to $60 million from the original $35 million. While it has just a 38% Rotton Tomatoes critics' rating, it has a fan base, including Quentin Tarantino, who called it his favorite racing movie. Costars include Robert Duvall and Randy Quaid. News-Journal reporter Mark Harper contributed to this report. This article originally appeared on The Daytona Beach News-Journal: 'Days of Thunder' filmed at the Speedway long before 'F1,' Brad Pitt

Brad Pitt's Los Angeles home 'ransacked', police say
Actor Brad Pitt's home in Los Angeles has been ransacked by a trio of thieves. Three suspects broke into the home in Los Feliz late on Wednesday through a front window and "ransacked the location," according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Police did not confirm the home belonged to the Oscar-winning actor, but the address matched that of a home Mr Pitt purchased in 2023. Authorities said the suspects fled with stolen items, though it's unclear what was taken. The actor was not home at the time of the burglary, US media reported. Mr Pitt was in the UK earlier this week for the London premiere of his new film F1, which is released on Friday. He was accompanied by fellow Hollywood star Tom Cruise and Lewis Hamilton, who has seven Formula One World Drivers' Championship titles. Authorities said the burglary happened around 22:30 local time on Wednesday. LA police would not confirm the value of items stolen. The BBC also contacted representatives for the actor. The large three-bedroom home sits just outside Griffith Park - which is home to the famous Hollywood Sign. It is surrounded by a large fence and greenery that shields the home from public view. The burglary follows others reported in the city targeting other celebrities, including Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban. Last month, a man was also arrested on stalking and vandalism charges after he allegedly rammed his vehicle into the gate of the home of Pitt's ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston. 'And Just Like That...' EP Seemingly Assures Fans Harry Won't Be Killed Off After Surprising Cancer Reveal in Season 3
The recent episode of And Just Like That... showed Charlotte (Kristin Davis) find out that her husband Harry (Evan Handler) was diagnosed with cancer The show's executive producer told TheWrap that viewers will see a different side of Charlotte this season, but hinted that Harry was not being killed off Davis added that the storyline "is true to life" and will highlight the importance of a caretaker's health as wellAnd Just Like That.. Charlotte and Harry's love story has entered a particularly challenging chapter in season 3 of And Just Like That... In the June 26 episode of the Sex and the City spinoff, Harry (Evan Handler) revealed to his wife Charlotte (Kristin Davis) that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. While he noted that his form of the disease has a 98% survival rate, he asked that Charlotte keep the news private, but the anxiety proved to be difficult for her to cope with. 'People get all kinds of unexpected health news. This is true to life,' Davis, 60, told TheWrap. 'She holds Harry in such a sacred place, and this family that she's created, it would be very scary for her to feel like she might lose that.' King further explained that the plotline is meant to show a different side to Charlotte, who has always prided herself on having everything under control. 'Charlotte has been the grounded support for everyone for the last two years, so we knew from the writing point of view it was time for her to need support,' he said. Still, he hinted that the Goldenblatt family will be okay. 'Do you think I'm going to kill Harry?' he quipped. In another interview with Variety, Davis confessed that she 'was relieved' when she found out this was what Charlotte and Harry would be going through in their marriage because it was something she knew they could overcome. 'I knew something would happen, right? We couldn't just go on, if you know what I mean,' she joked. 'It could have been worse — at least I didn't have to cheat on him or something like that, right? That would be so out of character; it would make no sense. I knew Michael wouldn't do that, but I was like, 'Oh, God, cancer.' Which is how Charlotte feels, and, of course, how everyone would feel.' 'But the thing that I love, that you'll see in the second half, is that it has a really great way that it goes — in terms of Charlotte having to keep the secret that Harry wants her to keep, and the toll that it takes on her,' the actress continued. 'She's trying to take care of him, and then she's trying to fulfill his wishes about who she tells or doesn't tell. So she really doesn't have her friends, and she ends up not taking care of herself.' She pointed out that this is an important topic for AJLT to approach, especially with it being so common for caretakers to forget the importance of their own well-being. 'It has a comedic element to it, which was really fun and scary to do, but it's just really true to life,' she shared. 'It seems like a perfect storyline for Charlotte that she would, of course, forget to take care of herself, and then have her own health issue because she forgot to take care of herself.
