Report: Chad Gable Injury Update

It looks like the injury keeping Chad Gable sidelined is more serious than some thought. Earlier this week, Cory Hays reported that Chad Gable is currently dealing with 'an undisclosed injury.' It was also noted that this is likely why Penta attacked Gable on Monday's episode of WWE RAW. On RAW, Gable was backstage with Ivy Nile when Penta approached. Gable concluded their 'lesson' and went to mock Penta, who just had a match with Bron Breakker. Gable teased finishing the job Breakker started, but Penta took exception to Gable repeatedly poking him in the chest. Penta superkicked Gable and screamed, 'I told you, Cero Miedo' before snapping Gable's left arm back. It was noted that Penta's attack allowed Gable to be written off of television, 'or reduce his workload temporarily while he recovers.' The exact nature of the injury was unknown, but it was significant enough to require WWE to change plans. Now, is reporting that Gable is set to have surgery for the undisclosed injury. Gable will have surgery in 'early July' to repair it. It's unclear when Gable will return to WWE TV. Fightful (via Fightful Select) also learned of a similar injury, as it appears El Grande Americano suffered a similar injury to Gable. However, it's a 'total coincidence' that two completely different people got the same injury in the same way. ? Chad Gable's last match in WWE (as Chad Gable) was a loss to AJ Styles on the June 9 episode of WWE RAW. 'El Grande Americano' had his last match on June 18, a Speed Championship match win over Berto. Check out everything that went down on this week's episode of WWE RAW here. But them Tim Tebow days made me a huge Florida Gators fan.' Florida Gators edge George Gumbs Jr. (34) pressures Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Carson Beck (15).Doug Engle/Gainesville Sun / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images Gumbs responded with a quick, 'That's what's up,' before Borne resumed talking. 'But hey, this year is your year. I mean you've got a lot of returners on offense. (You two) anchoring down the defense. Gators are so back.' Lexis King then entered the scene, slipping into his villainous heel role by mocking the Florida Gators and Borne in an attempt to stir the pot. While his trash talk didn't make much headway, Gumbs took it upon himself to defend Borne, confronting King head-on. At the same time, Sapp proudly displayed a WWE title belt decorated with Florida Gators colors, highlighting the crossover between football and wrestling.
