Susanna Reid's award-winning red midi dress is now on sale with £60 off

Daily Mirror30-05-2025
Susanne Reid wore a flattering fitted red midi dress to accept her recent award win, and it's currently on sale at LK Bennett with a huge £60 off
Fans have been congratulating Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid after she scooped the Outstanding Achievement Award from MHP 30 To Watch last night. As well as thanking her GMB team, Susanna also shared the details of her outfit with fans on Instagram, which included a stunning fitted red midi dress that flattered her figure.
Unlike other awards shows which require sweeping gowns only fit for a red carpet, the MHP awards ceremony had a much more wearable dress code that we can all get on board with. For the event Susanna wore LK Bennett's Altyn Shaped Seam Fitted Crepe Dress, which was just the right balance of formal and easy to wear.
Susanna's LK Bennett dress is usually priced at £299, but it's currently on sale with £60 off, slashing the price to £239. Although she opted for the bold red shade, the Altyn Fitted Crepe Dress also comes in black, making it the perfect little black dress.
Although it was ideal for the formal awards setting, Susanna's midi dress could just as easily be worn for the office with a pair of heels or loafers and a blazer, or as an understated and elegant outfit for parties and events. The square neckline, long sleeves and midi length keep it modest and work appropriate, so you can easily take it from meetings to dinner without needing to change.
Despite its hefty discount the dress is currently still available in all sizes from a 6 to a 20, with only the size 4 currently out of stock. It's made from a recycled stretch crepe that makes it form fitting and figure flattering, and fastens with a hidden back zip.
If you're looking for something similar that feels a little more events-ready, the Vesper Bengaline Fishtail Midi Dress is £62 at ASOS and has a similar form-flattering fit and bold red colour, with a square neckline. However the Vesper dress is sleeveless with wide straps, rather than long sleeved, and has a fishtail hemline that adds a little drama and movement.
Meanwhile at Debenhams you can get the Orange Square Neck Long Sleeve Ruched Bodycon Mesh Midi Dress for a more affordable £50, although it's only stocked in sizes 8 to 16. It has ruched detailing that accentuates your curves, a square neckline and long sleeves with a similar fitted silhouette.
Those on a tight budget should also check out Joe Browns' Make A Statement Stretch Red Dress, which is on sale down from £55 to £35. Coming in a similar bold red shade to Susanna's dress, it has a stretchy bodycon fit and midi hemline, with an asymmetric neckline and long sleeves.
However if you want to snap up Susanna's exact look, you can save £60 on the Altyn Fitted Crepe Dress at LK Bennett now.

This Morning huge shake-up revealed as major stars step back from ITV show

This Morning hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley have confirmed on to viewers on Thursday's episode of the show that their time is up for the summer as they prepare for a break Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley have confirmed that they are stepping down from This Morning for the summer. The duo were unveiled as replacements for long-serving hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on the ITV magazine show more than a year ago, and tend to front four episodes on a weekly basis. But during a handover from sister show Lorraine, Cat confirmed that they will be taking a break for the summer. ‌ Cat told Lorraine that it was to be their "last show this morning" before Ben confirmed that they will be having "all summer" off. But it was on with the show as usual as the titles rolled, and Cat teased viewers that there was "plenty to look forward to" over the coming two-and-half hours. The pair explained to fans that they are set to explore the secrets of anti-ageing, and that three TikTok witches would be on the sofa as well. ‌ ‌ Cat and former Good Morning Britain host Ben took the reins from Holly and Phillip last year. Phillip's departure came after revelations of his "unwise but not illegal" affair with a younger colleague, while Holly left months later for personal reasons. At the time, several pairs of presenters were tested out before Cat and Ben got the gig. The duo's announcement comes just days after This Morning bosses confirmed that the line up for the summer includes the likes of Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond - who have often provided cover for Ben and Cat on Fridays and in school holidays - as well as other relief presenters such as Joel Dommett, Emma Willis, Andi Peters, Craig Doyle, Rylan Clark, Sian Welby and Josie Gibson. The show's Instagram account posted: "This summer, get ready for the best staycation ever! Holiday from home as some of our favourite faces come together to entertain you. From sofa to sun lounger, brighten up your mornings with our all-star line up this summer on This Morning." ‌ Sian expressed her excitement in the comments, saying "Can't wait," while Alison replied with "Yay". Love Island star Olivia Attwood has also joined the team for the summer, and recently told Closer: ""Everyone's been so welcoming." She added: "The whole team's been lovely, and I'm just excited to get stuck in and learn from people I really admire. When touching on who she'd love to present with the most, Olivia, who is also a regular panellist on Loose Women, said: "If I ever get to host with Alison, I'm so sure we'd just laugh for two hours straight. Probably three." This Morning's summer plans come just weeks after it emerged that Lorraine will be condensed to 30 minutes, airing from 9:30am to 10am for 30 weeks of the year on a seasonal basis. ‌ In its place, Good Morning Britain will be extended to three and a half hours, and four hours when Lorraine is off the air, in what has been a host of changes in scheduling for the channel. Loose Women will also be reduced to a 30-week schedule, similar to its pre-2016 format. These changes are set to take effect from January 2026. Kevin Lygo, Managing Director of ITV's Media and Entertainment Division, stated: "Daytime is a really important part of what we do, and these scheduling and production changes will enable us to continue to deliver a schedule providing viewers with the news, debate and discussion they love from the presenters they know and trust as well generating savings which will allow us to reinvest across the programme budget in other genres."

Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard announce break from ITV's This Morning

This Morning presenters Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard made an announcement just minutes before the show that they will be taking a break Just minutes before the start of This Morning, presenters Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard made an announcement that they'll be taking a break from the show. ‌ The news was revealed towards the end of Lorraine Kelly's eponymous ITV talk show on Thursday (July 17) morning. The Scottish host handed over to the presenting duo, Cat, 48, and Ben, 50, who were preparing to deliver the day's top headlines. ‌ Before giving viewers a sneak peek into what the show had in store, Cat disclosed that they wouldn't be gracing screens for the next few weeks as they take their summer break. ‌ Speaking to viewers at home, Cat declared: "Morning, so it's our last show this morning." Ben chimed in with: "Yes, for the summer." ITV has since unveiled a new line-up of hosts set to fill in on This Morning throughout the summer season, reports the Mirror. In a video shared on its official Instagram account, ITV introduced the incoming presenters through a series of Polaroid photos displayed on a gingham tablecloth. Leading the pack are fan favourites Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary, who will be hosting the Friday slot. They'll be joined by a star-studded roster of guest presenters including Emma Willis, Rylan Clark, Josie Gibson, Rochelle Humes, Joel Dommett, Craig Doyle, Sian Welby, and Andi Peters. Additionally, Olivia Attwood, former Love Island and TOWIE star, will also be making her debut as a presenter on This Morning. ‌ An enthusiastic announcement from the programme's Instagram page declared: "This summer, get ready for the best staycation ever! Holiday from home as some of our favourite faces come together to entertain you. From sofa to sun lounger, brighten up your mornings with our all-star line-up this summer on This Morning." Predictably, the comments section was awash with reactions as Sian Welby expressed her excitement, writing: "Can't wait." Alison Hammond replied with an upbeat "Yay". ‌ Following her two-year stint on Loose Women, Olivia expressed her delight about her fresh position. She remarked: "It's a huge honour, I've grown up watching this show. "And being a part of the daytime team with Loose Women has been the best experience and this feels very natural." ‌ This development follows ITV's recent revelation of substantial alterations to its daytime programming. Lorraine's programme will now span just 30 minutes, airing from 9:30am to 10am, running on a seasonal basis for 30 weeks annually. Good Morning Britain is also poised for a considerable scheduling shift, broadcasting for three and a half hours regularly and extending to a complete four hours during Lorraine's off-season. Loose Women returns to a 30-week format reminiscent of their pre-2016 arrangement, with these scheduling changes due to take effect from January 2026.

ANOTHER Good Morning Britain host announces extended break from show in fresh ITV presenter shake-up

Another Good Morning Britain host has announced an extended break from the ITV show in a fresh ITV presenter shake-up. On Thursday's episode of the show saw Richard Madeley, 69, and Kate Garraway, 58, return to our screens to discuss the latest headlines. At the end of the instalment, Richard said: 'Right. I'm off for three weeks. I'll see you in three weeks time!' A shocked Kate asked: 'Are you?!' 'Yes,' Richard replied. Kate told him: 'Have a lovely holiday! You haven't rebelled, you haven't been suspended...' Richard giggled and said: 'No...' He continued: 'No I haven't had the whip taken away.' It comes after another GMB presenter told viewers they were taking a break from the programme. During last Thursday's episode, Susanna Reid, 54, explained to viewers that she was taking her 'holidays' as the show wrapped. Just before handing over to Lorraine, Susanna said she was now officially on leave from the programme. The host - who is the main anchor of the show - did not say the exact date she'd return to screens, but that it would be at 'term time', likely meaning around the start of September. She said: 'I am off on my holidays but I will see you at the star of the new term.' It's unclear who will replace Susanna and co-host the show in her absence from Monday to Thursdays. However, Richard Madeley jokingly confirmed he isn't going anywhere as he waved in her face following the news, saying: 'I am still here!' Richard and Susanna's break comes amid a period of change for the breakfast programme ahead of its behind-the-scenes shakeup next year as part of ITV budget cuts. Lorraine and Loose Women face the brunt of the cuts, with GMB's programme to be merged with ITN, who produce ITV News. Meanwhile, the Good Morning Britain has been slammed after making a controversial move to cut costs even more. Execs have axed its US office for the first time in the award-winning show's history. The Sun reported how the move means Good Morning Britain will no longer have a dedicated team across the pond to cover big stories across current affairs and entertainment. A source told the publication how the show, which is anchored by Susanna Reid and launched in 2014, will likely use ITN's main news hub in the US for reports. They said: 'They have completely axed their American operation, with the intensity of the news cycle in the US as it is - especially now, with a president who is making headlines daily. 'How does that make any sense? 'These cuts are a disaster in the making. The way they have gone about all of this is messy and it is devastating for us all.' The source added it was a 'shortsighted' move and a 'brazen pivot away from journalism' that will result in 'genuine, good quality people' leaving the show. However, a spokesperson for ITV said: 'ITV is currently in consultation over proposed changes and no final decisions have been made on redundancies. 'ITV News has a significant presence across North America and its award winning bureau will continue to provide Viewers with trusted international news.' Last year Susanna went clubbing with her grown-up sons Sam, 22, Finn, 21, and 19-year-old Jack during her holidays. In an interview with Woman & Home, she admitted: 'I'm not really a pub-goer, but I go clubbing. 'I went clubbing with them during the day and had the most amazing time. I stopped drinking in 2018 and I'm now predominantly teetotal. 'I have a Buck's Fizz on Christmas Day, I had half a glass of champagne on my mum's birthday and I have a drink once every couple of months – including a couple in Ibiza – but I don't have pints at the pub like I did in my 20s.' Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV1 from 6am and is available to stream on ITVX.
