'Days of Our Lives' Casts 'The Young and the Restless' Conner Floyd as Chad: When Does He Debut?
'Days of Our Lives' Casts 'The Young and the Restless' Conner Floyd as Chad: When Does He Debut? originally appeared on Parade.
Days of Our Lives found its new Chad following Billy Flynn's exit from the show. In a surprising turn of events, The Young and the Restless hunk Conner Floyd has been cast in the role.
Flynn left Days of Our Lives in March after accepting a job on The Young and the Restless. Now, Floyd's leaving Y&R to play Flynn's old character on the hit Peacock soap.Deadline broke the news, revealing Floyd wrapped his run on The Young and the Restless as Chance, just as his Y&R co-star Melissa Ordway (Abby) promoted Abby and Chance joining the rest of the gang in France for the big Aristotle Dumas, aka Cane Ashby, reveal.
The turnaround is quick as Floyd begins filming for the hit Peacock soap today. The official Instagram account for Days of Our Lives teased a photo of him in front of his dressing room while revealing when fans will be able to see him on screen.
'Save the Date: April 2026 💙⏳#DOOL #days #daysofourlives #connerfloyd,' read the caption on the Instagram post.
The good news is that Chad won't be off-screen the whole time. Due to the Peacock soaps' advanced filming schedule, Flynn will still be on-screen playing Chad until January 2026. That means Chad will be MIA for a couple of months before Floyd begins in the role.
The Young and the Restless has yet to reveal Floyd's last air date or whether the character will be recast. Considering Chance has been on the back burner for months, the character likely won't be recast and will probably disappear into a soap opera abyss.
Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on Peacock, while The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS.

Fast X: Part 2 Release Date & Brian's Return Get Huge Updates From Vin Diesel
Fast & Furious franchise star and producer Vin Diesel recently teased the release date window of Fast X: Part 2 and the return of Brian O'Conner, previously portrayed by the late Paul Walker. As of 2025, 10 movies have come out in the main branch of the franchise. It was previously reported that the upcoming 11th film would also be the last chapter of the Diesel-led movie series. However, the franchise will potentially continue through spin-offs. Diesel made an appearance at the FuelFest, an automobile festival organized by Paul Walker's brother Cody and Tyrese Gibson, and revealed key details about Fast X: Part 2, the finale of the Fast & Furious movie series. He announced that the movie will debut in April 2027. 'As you all know, we've been working very hard to bring you the finale,' Diesel began while addressing the crowd at Fuel Fest. 'Our franchise is only made possible because of the love that you all have for this culture called the car culture.' He disclosed that he had a meeting with Universal, the production company behind the franchise, a day ago, and the studio asked him if they could have the release date for the Fast 11 movie in April 2027. The MCU actor revealed that, in response, he listed three conditions that the fans have been asking for. Diesel said the first condition was to bring the franchise back to Los Angeles, California, which served as the setting of the first movie, 2001's The Fast and the Furious. The second thing, according to the actor, was returning the narrative to the car culture, the street racing. While the earlier movies in the franchise heavily focused on cars and the culture around them, later entries gradually shifted away from that. The third condition, Diesel revealed, was 'reuniting Dom (Diesel) and Brian O'Conner.' He added, 'That is what you gonna get in the finale,' indicating that Universal has agreed to his conditions. Paul Walker last portrayed Brian in 2015's Furious 7. He died in a tragic vehicular accident two years earlier. Walker's brothers, Cody and Caleb, and John Brotherton served as stand-ins for him for certain scenes in Furious 7. The 2023 release Fast X had archival footage featuring Walker's character. At the time of this article's composition, it's unclear how and in what capacity Brian will appear in Fast X: Part 2.

Jay-Z Joins Beyonce on Stage on Cowboy Carter Tour in Paris, Omits Kanye West's Name in Hit Song
Jay-Z reunited with his wife, Beyoncé, for their first live performance together in six years on Sunday, June 22. Jay-Z — real name Shawn Carter — joined his superstar spouse on stage for her third and final Cowboy Carter Tour performance at Paris' Stade de France. The couple reeled off a string of their biggest hits, including 'Crazy in Love' and 'Drunk in Love,' which was remixed with Beyoncé's song 'Partition.' The rapper also treated Paris to a live rendition of 'N****s in Paris,' his hit collaboration with Kanye West from their 2011 Watch the Throne album. Jay-Z notably tweaked one specific lyric referring to his longtime collaborator. Instead of rapping, 'Just might let you meet Ye,' he said, 'Just might let you meet Bey,' per fan footage shared via social media. A Complete Timeline of Kanye West and Jay-Z's Relationship: From Collaborations to Falling Out While Jay-Z, 55, and West, 48, were once close friends, they appear to have had a falling out in recent years. In a since-deleted X post in April, West claimed that the drama stems from their collaboration on the song 'Jail,' which appeared on his 2021 album, Donda. 'Why did Jay Z have to say 'no red hat' on Jail,' West wrote via X. 'That s*** tore me to my soul. We fought about it and he told me either leave that line on there or take my verse off. Me wearing the red hat was the most stand out example of me going against 'the program.' Do you guys think he was instructed to say that?' In Jay-Z's verse on the track, he rapped, 'Told him, 'Stop all of that red cap, we goin' home' / Not me with all of these sins, castin' stones / This might be the return of The Throne (Throne) / Hova and Yeezus, like Moses and Jesus.' Everything Kanye West Lost After Series of Antisemitic Social Media Posts: Talent Agency and More The lines were a reference to West's support of President Donald Trump, which often saw the rapper wearing a red 'Make America Great Again' cap. In March, West made headlines for disparaging posts about Jay-Z and Beyoncé's twins, Rumi and Sir, 8. (Jay-Z and Beyoncé, 43, also share daughter Blue Ivy, 13.) Shortly after his tweets about Jay-Z's kids, West apologized in additional X posts, writing, 'I LOVE JAY Z AND I DO FEEL BAD.' He also claimed he was hurt by Jay-Z not attending his 2014 wedding to now-ex Kim Kardashian. 'I FELT LIKE BOTH HIM AND HIS WIFE COULD HAVE HELPED ME HAVE MORE LEVERAGE WITH MY KIDS,' West continued, referring to claims that he had been denied access to his four kids with Kardashian, 44. 'THEY COULD HAVE USED THEIR CULTURAL POSITION TO NOT JUST WATCH THE KARDASHIANS RUN ME OVER. S*** HURTS … SO F*** BOTH OF THEM CAUSE WHEN I NEEDED THEM IT WAS F*** ME.'

Maybe it's okay to just be in a relationship." "Which was fine with me, too," she clarified. "But I just wanted to lock him down." Luckily for her, Taika said yes: "He said, 'Absolutely. What the hell, get up.'" And we all know what happened from there — Taika and Rita got married in August 2022. "It was beautiful," Rita told the host of their nuptials.
