Ditch the Silver began on YouTube to spotlight those quieter food stories—rooted in history, resilience, and everyday flavor. It's exciting to now bring that journey to OSN and OSN+, with the chance to reach more people and create deeper impact. As someone who grew up here and spent over a decade leading guided food tours and documenting the city's foodscape, this is about sharing the places and people that deserve to be seen,' said Arva Ahmed, Founder of Frying Pan Adventures.
'Ditch The Silver represents a bold step in storytelling, spotlighting the rich, untold narratives that exist beyond the surface of Dubai's culinary landscape. At Ti22 Films, our mission is to produce content that not only resonates emotionally but also reflects cultural authenticity and regional depth. Partnering with OSN to bring this concept to life has been an incredible journey. With Arva Ahmed's deep expertise and unmistakable voice, we've created a series that's as insightful as it is engaging. We're proud to contribute to a platform that champions meaningful content and celebrates the diversity of stories across the region,' said Reim El Houni, Founder & CEO, Ti22 Films.
'We're proud to bring Ditch The Silver to OSN and OSN+. This series offers an unfiltered, deeply authentic look into the UAE's culinary soul, revealing the flavours, people, and places that often go unnoticed. It's more than just a food show; it's a celebration of culture, community, and the stories that shape them. Our collaboration with Ti22 Films reflects OSN's ongoing commitment to champion local narratives and deliver content that not only entertains but also resonates with the heart of our region.', said Rolla Karam, SVP Content Acquisition – Programming, OSN Group.

Warner Bros. Invests $57M in OSN to Expand Middle East Streaming
The deal strengthens local content production and Warner Bros.' regional presence. Mar 25, 2025 Warner Bros. Discovery is set to acquire a minority stake in OSN Streaming Ltd., a Dubai-based streaming service, in a deal valued at $57 million. The investment will grant Warner Bros. approximately one-third ownership of the company, with the transaction occurring in stages pending regulatory approval. OSN Streaming offers a mix of global and regional television series and films, positioning itself as a key player in the Middle East's competitive digital entertainment landscape. As part of the agreement, Warner Bros. will contribute to locally-produced content and explore opportunities for content expansion, reinforcing its presence in the region. This partnership builds on Warner Bros.' existing collaborations with OSN, which has held an exclusive licensing deal for HBO content in the region since 2022 and retains exclusive regional rights to the Warner Bros. film catalog. With growing disposable incomes and a young, tech-savvy population, the Middle East has emerged as a lucrative market for streaming services. OSN faces competition from major global platforms like Netflix and Amazon, as well as regional services such as Starzplay and MBC Group. Other than streaming, OSN maintains a majority stake in Anghami Inc., a regional music streaming service. Warner Bros. has previously pursued strategic investments in the region, including acquiring Turkey's BluTV in 2023 after an initial stake in 2021.
