Browns' Shedeur Sanders claimed by CFL team in potentially shocking twist to Cleveland QB competition
The rookie from Colorado could head to Canada.
The Canadian Football League recently released its full negotiation list. Each team in the CFL can gain rights to a player from outside the league, and if that player decides to come play up north, that given team gets the first chance to negotiate a contract with them.

The Toronto Argonauts have Sanders' negotiation rights.

It seems highly unlikely Sanders would leave the NFL for the CFL.
But his NFL Draft slide to the fifth round made things a little weird. Clearly, most NFL teams weren't as enthused about Sanders as some would've expected.
He could still make a huge impression in Cleveland in July and August, and other teams could want him even if the Browns don't.
It'll be a tricky QB competition with fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel along with veterans Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett.

If Sanders ever decides he needs a change of scenery, the Argonauts could come calling.
