CBB star confirms reason Mickey Rourke was kicked off show after Patsy incident

Daily Mirror11-05-2025
Celebrity Big Brother star Chesney Hawkes has claimed that an unaired moment with Patsy Kensit was one of the reasons that Mickey Rourke was removed from the house
Chesney Hawkes has divulged the behind-the-scenes drama surrounding Mickey Rourke's departure from Celebrity Big Brother. Speaking at the glitzy 2025 BAFTA TV Awards, Chesney reminisced about his time on the reality programme with the infamously contentious Hollywood star.
Detailing their interactions, Chesney said: "I'm torn with Mickey because, because, you know, he's on one side, a gross human that says everything inappropriate and offended everybody in the house, pretty much."

He continued: "But then there's another side to him that was actually quite sweet. He's like this lost little puppy in a way, and he's a hurt man, he's had a really difficult life. Danny and I in particular warmed to that side of and tried to get to know him.

"However, it just got too hard because he could turn on a dime and it was frightening, so, you know, I reckon wounded men can end up wounding others, right? It was tough to deal with.", reports the Daily Star.
Chesney then unravelled the misconceptions around why Mickey Rourke was ejected from the house. While fans speculated it was related to his antics with Ella Rae Wise or being chastised for his conduct towards JoJo Siwa, Chesney hinted at an unaired incident involving Patsy that might have tipped the scales.
Intriguingly, Chesney hinted: "There was a slight inappropriate moment with Mickey and Patsy that never made it. I can't go into details, but I think that was one of the reasons he ended up going."
The film star was reportedly booted off the show following allegations of "use of inappropriate sexual language" towards housemate Ella Rae Wise and "aggressive" behaviour aimed at Chris Hughes.

An ITV spokesperson said at the time: "Mickey Rourke has agreed to leave the Celebrity Big Brother House this evening following a discussion with Big Brother regarding further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour."
Rourke has since issued an apology, stating: "I stepped over the line and I take responsibility for doing the wrong thing. 'Cause I lost my temper, and I've been trying to work on it my whole life and I wish I would have had better self-control and I'm very sorry."
He added, "I'm ashamed of myself for losing it for a few seconds there. Nobody got touched or hurt. Maybe some feelings got hurt or maybe others have feelings about others getting upset but, you know, I'm sorry about that."

The hit reality TV show was eventually won by Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd. Shortly after winning the show, the actor, 37, hit out at his co-stars after he was asked whether they'd be invited to his wedding.
When asked on Good Morning Britain if he will be inviting any of the housemates to his wedding, he said: 'No, I don't think so. Come on. I've only known them three weeks. Got guest list (a) mile long.
"He (Chris Hughes) keeps asking for an invite. Keeps on going, 'I'll see you at that wedding', I'm like 'I don't think you will pal', haven't even told him (the) date.'

EastEnders' Harry star appeared BBC talent show and looked totally different

EastEnders star Elijah Holloway once tried to venture down a very different career path – and you may have seen him. The actor, 26, is best known to BBC soap fans as troubled Harry Mitchell. First arriving in Albert Square last year, he's been embroiled in a number of huge stories, including discovering that his mother Nicola (Laura Doddington) murdered his girlfriend. We've also seen him kidnap Zack Hudson (James Farrar) after discovering he had fathered his brother Barney (Lewis Bridgeman), and more recently, become entwined in drug dealing. After his best mate Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho) flushed Ravi Gulati's (Aaron Thiara) stash of narcotics down the loo, Harry has been forced to supply to his customers to pay off the debt. EastEnders is Elijah's first major acting role, having appeared in a number of short films, a McDonalds advert and in a 2023 production of A View from the Bridge at the Chichester Festival. However, in 2017, you may have seen him in BBC talent contest Let It Shine. The series saw judges Gary Barlow, Dannii Minogue and Martin Kemp search for a new boyband to take part in Take That jukebox musical Greatest Days. Elijah, then 18 and working as a shop assistant, auditioned in episode three with a rendition of Greased Lightnin', originally performed by John Travolta in Grease. More Trending Unfortunately, he received the lowest of the 'stars' – votes awarded by the judges – 11, and was eliminated from the competition. Other notable faces in the series who would go onto receive mainstream recognition were It's A Sin star Callum Howells, and Emmerdale's Bradley Johnson, who plays Vinny Dingle. Elijah isn't the only future soapstar to seek fame on a glitzy musical theatre Saturday night contest. Rachel Riley says she'd rather do this extreme thing than Strictly again

Rachel Riley has stated she would rather swim with great white sharks than compete on Strictly Come Dancing for a second time. The TV star recently participated in ITV's Shark! Celebrity Infested Waters, which involved swimming with sharks in the Bahamas. Riley, who was a contestant on the 2013 series of Strictly, found the pressure from the judges and viewers more terrifying than facing sharks. She previously disclosed that her experience on Strictly Come Dancing led to post-traumatic stress disorder, for which she received cognitive behavioural therapy. Despite the challenging experience, Riley acknowledged that meeting her now-husband, professional dancer Pasha Kovalev, was the positive outcome of her time on the show.
