Every year, a list is compiled by NFL players, where they essentially rank their teammates and opponents. The Top 100 NFL Players list is already starting to roll out with players like Tua Tagovailoa, James Cook, Zach Allen, and more revealed so far.

Though the list is often up for debate, there are players who just don't see the value in it. One such player is Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Mahomes joined "The Kay Adams Show," where he discussed the Top 100 NFL Players list and was brutally honest about what it means to him.
"At the end of the day all I'm trying to do is win Super Bowls and I don't care where I am on that list — no offense.'

When host Kay Adams talks about Mahomes' relationship with the list, coyly inferring that the Chiefs quarterback has been ranked all over the place, he is honest about not caring at all where he is ranked on it.
"I know it's a year-by-year thing. There is a lot of great quarterbacks, a lot of great players in this league. They can rank me wherever they rank me. At the end of the day all I'm trying to do is win Super Bowls, and I don't care where I am on that list — no offense."
Mahomes has the right attitude regarding the Top 100 NFL Player list. In fact, he has been ranked No. 1 two different times, but he has also been ranked fourth in 2023, eighth in 2022, and fourth in 2020.

Simply put, Mahomes has been in the top 10 on the list for many years, but nobody would argue that he is the best quarterback in the league. He is viewed as the best player in the league as well.
The reasoning behind Mahomes being viewed as the best player in the league is that he sets himself apart by his play. Even in the 2024 NFL season, the Chiefs were hampered by injuries.
Isaiah Pacheco, Hollywood Brown, and Juju Smith-Schuster all dealt with injuries, leaving Mahomes with a rotating cast of offensive pass catchers. Despite losing multiple players for weeks at a time, the Chiefs were able to make it to the Super Bowl for the third year in a row.
Sadly, the Chiefs were routed by the Philadelphia Eagles and were not able to be the first team in NFL history to complete the coveted threepeat, but they still made it to the big game.
Kansas City continues to be the team to beat in the AFC, and a big reason for that is Mahomes. He is arguably the best clutch player in the NFL, and ranking him anywhere on the Top 100 list wouldn't matter.
Mahomes is on a trajectory similar to Tom Brady, and the Chiefs star has been to five Super Bowls since becoming the starter. Simply put, he is special, and no list will ever take that away.

Buffalo Bills players under the most pressure in 2025

The Buffalo Bills are a clear Super Bowl contender over the past few NFL seasons and that's not going to change in 2025. Not only that, the team will be depending on some younger players to make big impacts throughout the year. All in all, there is plenty of pressure to go around. Here are Bills Wire's players under the most pressure in 2025: WR Keon Coleman Coleman had a decent start to his NFL career as a rookie but slowed down. A hand injury played a part there. Regardless, after the Bills decided not to make a splash wide receiver addition this offseason which means the team is counting on him to make an impact. RB James Cook Cook is here because of his own doing. The Pro Bowl rusher is entering the final year of his rookie contract and has been vocal about wanting to get paid. Cook has yet to land a big extension and if that does not come before the start of the season, Cook will be under a microscope with free agency pending. CB Maxwell Hairston Any top rookie draft pick has plenty of pressure on them. Hairston is no exception. The Bills would love if Hairston becomes a solid starting cornerback across from Christian Benford right out of the gate. Easier said than done. QB Josh Allen Allen is the reigning NFL MVP from the 2024 season. In a way, that address pressure. What is Allen lacking on his resume? You guessed it, a Super Bowl, and the Bills will go where Allen takes them.

Kansas City radio host rips ‘disgrace' Patrick Mahomes for offseason dad bod

Three Super Bowl rings are not good enough for Patrick Mahomes to avoid criticism. Kansas City radio and podcast host Kevin Kietzman claimed that Mahomes' dad bod is 'a disgrace' in a rant on Monday after Fourth of July photos of the quarterback went viral as he celebrated with friends on a yacht trip. 'Vacation photos are popping up of Patrick Mahomes, and he's fat,' the host said on his 'Kevin Kietzman Has Issues' podcast. 'I'm gonna say it, and I'm gonna tell you the truth, that's why you hit the play button, he's an embarrassment.' 3 Patrick Mahomes on Fourth of July. Cassidy Kayy/Instagram Mahomes is coming off perhaps the most disappointing performance of his career, throwing two interceptions in a 40-22 blowout loss to the Eagles in Super Bowl LIX in February. While Mahomes threw for three touchdowns, most of that came with the game well out of reach after the Eagles rolled to a 24-0 halftime lead. 'You're a $500 million quarterback, you've made all these comments in the offseason that 'We're gonna do our talking on the field, we got our butts kicked in the Super Bowl, we're coming back with a vengeance,' said Kietzman, who covers sports and politics on his programs. 'Dude, you're fat. Your belly would be fat at my pool, hanging out with us, 60-year-olds. My skin is flabbier than yours, I get it. Stop. Stop the fast food. Do a sit-up. Do something.' 3 Kevin Kietzman attacked Patrick Mahomes on his radio show. KevinKietzman/Instagram While the 29-year-old Mahomes does not have a perfect body chiseled from stone, that has not proven to be an impediment on his eventual road to the Hall of Fame. Mahomes has been one of the most prolific passers in the NFL in his career. On top of three Super Bowl victories, Mahomes has won two MVP awards and has 32,352 passing yards. It is not the first time Mahomes' physique has gone viral in his career. 3 Patrick Mahomes at summer practice. AP The quarterback first reacted to the 'dad bod' chatter in January 2024 when 'Inside the NFL' profiled his shirtless victory speech after Kansas City's AFC Championship win over Baltimore. 'Yoooo why they have to do me like that!?!?!? #DadBodSZN,' Mahomes posted on X. Mahomes' trainer, Bobby Stroupe, went after Kietzman on social media in since-deleted posts, according to The Sun. 'You obviously need attention,' Stroupe said. 'If you want to see what in shape is — go make it through a practice at Saint Jo or run hurry up offense scrambling back to back to back plays. You don't have a clue what it takes. I's not a look, it's performance.' Mahomes is currently preparing for his ninth season in the league.

Patrick Mahomes crowns division rival NFL's best pass rusher

Patrick Mahomes knows all about Maxx Crosby. That's the beauty of an NFL divisional rivalry. The Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders face each other twice per season, giving familiarity plenty of opportunity to breed contempt. But while Mahomes may hate seeing a 255-pound, trash-talking monster and two-time All-Pro edge rusher lining up across from him, he certainly respects him. Advertisement Not long after Crosby called Mahomes the league's best quarterback, the three-time Super Bowl MVP returned the favor. While talking about the Chiefs-Raiders rivalry with Up & Adams host Kay Adams, he singled out Crosby as "the best pass rusher I've played against." 'I think he's sacked me the most out of anyone I've ever played against, so to me, he's the best pass rusher I've played against,' Mahomes told Adams. 'So, no offense to any other pass rusher, just putting it out there. But he is the best one that I've gone up against because he goes out there and he gives you the effort, he has the moves, and he has the skill. And I think it's hard to have all three of those and have them year in and year out.' Crosby is responsible for six of Mahomes' 184 regular season sacks and the Raiders are tied with the Denver Broncos as the two teams who've sacked the two-time MVP the most (25 each). Crosby's gotten to Mahomes more times than Von Miller (four), Khalil Mack (3.5) or Myles Garrett (two). Advertisement Mahomes also handled Crosby's A+ trash talk as diplomatically as possible thanks to the help of bountiful sports cliches. 'There's so much healthy respect, but when we get on that football field, it's going to be trash talk," said Mahomes. "It's going to be going out there, he's going to try to get to me, I'm going to be trying to make big plays happen. But those are the guys — I always say, obviously, he's on the other team, so I want to go against him and beat him. That's the guys you want on your team, the guys who are going to leave it all out there, no matter what the score is, and be the best they can possibly be every snap.'
