Seth Rollins Expects To Be 'Out For An Extended Period'
While speaking on the Rich Eisen Show, Rollins detailed the moment the injury occurred and the steps he has taken since. He noted that the full extent of the injury is still unknown due to swelling, but based on how he feels, he is preparing for a long recovery.
"When I landed, I felt my knee kind of pop and buckle," Rollins said. "Monday, I was in Birmingham, Alabama where our specialists were at. We took a look at the knee through imaging.
It was a little too swollen, so we'll take another look hopefully in a week or two so that we can get a firm diagnosis and go from there. I'm not a doctor, but I know my body, and what I feel is that this is gonna have me out for an extended period of time."

Sights Set On A WrestleMania Return
Despite the setback, Rollins is already looking ahead to a potential return during WWE's biggest season of the year. He stated that while there is no firm timeline, he is optimistic about making it back for WrestleMania. It was also reported that the injury forced WWE to change the planned ending of his match against LA Knight on Saturday.
"I've always got WrestleMania in the back of my mind," Rollins said. "I'm like, can I make it back for WrestleMania season? I feel good about that, but beyond a firm timeline, I just don't know until we get a better answer on the MRI."
Rollins' injury comes at a pivotal time for his on-screen faction. This past Monday on Raw, Roman Reigns made his surprise return to WWE, attacking Rollins' stablemate Bron Breakker.
With Reigns seeking revenge against Rollins and Paul Heyman for the events of WrestleMania 41, Rollins' long-term absence leaves a major question mark over how the storyline will proceed.

Nico Rosberg on Russell's Contract: 'Toto's Horrible to Negotiate With'
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Former Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg has opened up on the situation that could be unfolding for George Russell amid the delay in talks of his contract extension. Rosberg recalled that team principal Toto Wolff was "horrible to negotiate with" during his days at Mercedes. Russell's current contract expires at the end of the 2025 season, and with the summer break approaching after the Hungarian Grand Prix, a contract extension is nowhere in sight. Wolff was open about the ongoing talks with Red Bull driver Max Verstappen for the future. Still, he recently confirmed ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix that Russell and Andrea Kimi Antonelli will form the team's driver lineup for the 2026 season. But with the delayed discussions, Russell admitted that he couldn't take Wolff's statements at face value. He said: George Russell of Great Britain and Mercedes talks with Mercedes GP Executive Director Toto Wolff at the Mercedes GP Team Photo during previews ahead of the F1 Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi at Yas Marina... George Russell of Great Britain and Mercedes talks with Mercedes GP Executive Director Toto Wolff at the Mercedes GP Team Photo during previews ahead of the F1 Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi at Yas Marina Circuit on November 23, 2023 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. More"No, not really. That was for you [media], not for me. You know, what happens behind closed doors is behind closed doors. Nothing from my side has changed. "I wasn't even aware of this statement until one hour ago, so it's not something I'm looking for, it's not something I really care about." Speaking on the possibility of talks taking place before the summer break, the British driver said: "I don't know. You know, there is still no contract on the table, so to have something done in the space of two weeks is unlikely. It's got to work both ways, and you need to talk about the finer details. "Formula One's evolving so much now — you need to go through everything with a fine-tooth comb to make sure it's all OK. But as I said, there is no rush really from my side, because ultimately, those from the team will decide what they wish to do, and I will be in a position of reacting to what they wish to do. As I said, I'm just focusing on performance, and everything else will sort itself out." Rosberg, who raced for Mercedes from 2010 to 2016, spoke on Russell's situation, highlighting that something was "cooking" at Mercedes. He told Sky Sports F1: "Did you hear George Russell? He was like, 'Oh, no, definitely I won't have a contract signed by Hungary. Like, so definitive that he knows nothing's gonna happen until Hungary, so there must be something cooking there, right?" Addressing that the summer break begins after the upcoming Hungarian Grand Prix, he said: "Sure, but it's like we're in August then. There's only a couple of months left after that to the end of the season. And he's like, 'oh no, for sure I'm not gonna have a contract yet' - that's a bit extreme, no?" The former champion then highlighted his experience with Wolff when it came to negotiating contract extensions. Rosberg said: "Toto's horrible to negotiate with, because his tactic is to disappear. So when you try... like George now, he's trying to get hold of him, Toto will disappear... George will be trying to write Toto to get him [to get] a move on, or whatever, and Toto disappears." He added: "By the way, this is not a fact; this is just me making it up. But I remember from my time that was his style, just like disappearing, not answering, being hard to reach... and it's horrible, because you're like, 'come on!' "You have nothing, you have no chance... do whatever you can; you need to find a way to cross paths."

Max Verstappen Disagrees With Red Bull Advisor: 'Helmut is Not in the Car!'
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Max Verstappen has downplayed Red Bull senior advisor Helmut Marko's optimistic claim that the 2025 championship was still within Verstappen's reach. Marko commented after the British Grand Prix, where Verstappen secured fifth place. Marko is known for staying positive when it comes to the four-time world champion. However, the 2025 season has been challenging for Red Bull, a stark contrast to the dominance it enjoyed from 2022 until the first half of the 2024 season. The team has been struggling to solve the problems on its RB21 car, and the resurgence of other teams, mainly McLaren and Mercedes, has had a significant impact on Red Bull's results. Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris occupy the top two spots in the Drivers' Standings, followed by Verstappen in third. Despite the points difference between Verstappen and Piastri being significant, it would still be mathematically possible for Verstappen to secure his fifth title if the tables were turned again. Max Verstappen of the Netherlands and Oracle Red Bull Racing talks with Dr Helmut Marko, Team Consultant of Oracle Red Bull Racing in the garage during practice ahead of the F1 Grand Prix of Belgium... Max Verstappen of the Netherlands and Oracle Red Bull Racing talks with Dr Helmut Marko, Team Consultant of Oracle Red Bull Racing in the garage during practice ahead of the F1 Grand Prix of Belgium at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps on July 25, 2025 in Spa, Belgium. MoreMarko revealed after the British Grand Prix at Silverstone that, despite the setbacks for Verstappen, the championship cannot be "written off" just yet. He said: "Fifth place ultimately for Max in Silverstone, a week earlier, the early retirement in Austria due to Antonelli's ramming. That doesn't make Verstappen's title defence any easier, but we're far from writing off the title." However, judging from RB21's performance in the first 12 rounds until the British GP, Verstappen said ahead of the Belgian GP that he preferred being realistic, downplaying Marko's claims. He told the Dutch media: "Helmut is not in the car! "I understand that you have to be positive about it. On the other hand, I am always very realistic about what I feel in the car. And when I look at certain onboards of other cars, I know enough." Following his sprint race victory at Spa-Francorchamps, Verstappen qualified P4 for the main race hours later. Addressing what changed in qualifying, the Red Bull driver said: "We opted a little bit [on the set up] looking for tomorrow, but somehow, the balance didn't really improve with that change, and that's a bit weird," the Red Bull driver explained. "Especially in Q3, the first set felt awful. The second set, we tried something else, and it just didn't give me any grip starting the lap. "So I had a lot of wheelspin starting the lap out of the last corner, and the same thing happened out of Turn 1. I just lost two tenths on my own lap time already, which is not ideal. "From there, we tried to catch up a bit of lap time. Of course, without that problem in Turn 1, you look quite ok, you are quite close to the McLarens. But overall, it's not been a very good Qualifying."
