Grayson Waller Takes A Dig At Cathy Kelley's Mom On WWE RAW

Cathy Kelley's mom is out here catching strays.
After Grayson Waller set up his tag partner Austin Theory with a spontaneous match against 'The Celtic Warrior' Sheamus last Monday, WWE correspondent Cathy Kelley wanted to address the elephant looming in Louisville's KFC Yum! Center this week on WWE Raw. Unfortunately for her, she and Waller had two different interpretations.

According to Kelley, the 'elephant' meant the tension seemingly growing between Waller and Theory. In Waller's eyes, though, it signified something much more personal to Kelley.
'The elephant in the room. You mean your mom?' Waller said to Kelley before apologizing to Theory. 'Hey, first of all, last week was my fault. I was trying to be a good mate, giving [Theory] a marquee match, but maybe the surprise was too big. I'm sorry.'
While initially taken aback by Waller's remark, Kelley managed to stay professional and finish her interview with A-Town Down Under, which resulted in Theory informing Waller he had secured him a match with Sheamus in return. Afterward, Kelley took to Twitter/X to note that Waller's anger toward extends back to November 2023, when she aimed another witty insult at Waller.

On previous episode of WWE SmackDown, Waller poured a bottle of water over the head of Kevin Owens, who sat next to the commentary table. Waller then made this image his profile photo on X, prompting Kelley to write 'The first time [Grayson's] gotten anybody wet' in response. According to Kelley, Waller seems to still be mad about this initial diss.

Randy Orton Reveals The Major WWE Backstage Change Under Triple H

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. WWE veteran Randy Orton has revealed a significant positive change in the company's backstage culture, crediting Chief Content Officer Triple H for the new direction. The 14-time world champion shared a specific story that highlights a major shift in the company's priorities under the new leadership. Speaking on the "What's Your Story?" podcast with Stephanie McMahon, Orton discussed how the company now has a "family first" mentality. This is a change he says would have been unheard of in the past. Leading By Example In WWE Orton recalled a recent instance where he learned Triple H was not present at a television taping. When he asked where his boss was, he was told Triple H was attending his daughter Murphy's championship softball game. For Orton, this small act represented a monumental shift in the company's culture. "Just knowing that in the past that never would have happened, and knowing that now it's okay," Orton said (H/T "It's almost like, without even knowing it... he's leading by example." He explained that this leadership gives him confidence that he could also prioritize a major family event without fear of professional repercussions. "There's no question in my mind that if I say 'Hunter... I've got this thing, and... it's very important to me and my family and my kids... that I'm there,' there's no question in my mind that they'll say 'Done,'" Orton stated. "Like that is huge. That's everything." RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA - NOVEMBER 2: Randy Orton enters the arena during Crown Jewel at Mohammed Abdo Arena on November 2, 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. WWE/Getty Images More news: WWE News: Steve Austin Reveals Real-Life Vince McMahon Confrontation Randy Orton's Perspective This cultural shift is especially meaningful coming from a star like Orton, who has been with WWE for 25 years. For decades, the industry was known for its grueling "grind" schedule, where performers often worked through injuries and missed major family milestones. The idea of a top executive, let alone a top talent, missing a TV taping for a family event was often seen as a lack of dedication. Orton himself has recently gained a new perspective after returning from a career-threatening back injury that required spinal fusion surgery. After more than a year away, he understands the importance of life outside the ring, making Triple H's new "family first" approach all the more significant to veterans who have spent their lives on the road. The praise is also powerful given the long and often violent history between Randy Orton and Triple H. Triple H originally brought a young Orton into WWE as his protégé in the Evolution faction, but their relationship famously imploded when Orton won his first World Heavyweight Championship. This led to a years-long, bloody rivalry that was one of the defining feuds of the Ruthless Aggression era. For Orton to now be the one praising Triple H's leadership shows the immense respect that has developed between the two former rivals over their storied careers. So, Why is Cate Blanchett in ‘Squid Game' Season 3?

If you just couldn't wait (much like myself) and binged all six episodes of Squid Game season three, you may have spotted actress Cate Blanchett in the final scenes of the Netflix show. The actress could be seen wearing a suit as she played ddakji with a stranger, just like the The Recruiter does when selecting players for the brutal games. The 56-year-old Hollywood star's cameo in the Korean thriller had viewers completely thrown as they took to X (formerly Twitter). "WDYM Cate Blanchett is in Squid Game s3?" one viewer wrote in all caps. "Seeing Cate Blanchett in Squid Game as The Recruiter is the best thing I ever witnessed," another said. Cate Blanchett in Squid Game S3 was not on my 2025 Bucket List, but here the f**k we are," a third wrote. So, why exactly is Cate Blanchett in the final installment of Squid Game? Here's everything you need to know. Speaking about his reason to cast Cate Blanchett, the show's director Hwang Dong-hyul explained: "We thought having a woman as a Recruiter would be more dramatic and intriguing." "And as for why Cate Blanchett, she's just the best, with unmatched charisma. Who doesn't love her? So we were very happy to have her appear. We needed someone who could dominate the screen with just one or two words, which is exactly what she did." Hwang continued: "If Gong Yoo is the Korean Recruiter, I thought she would be the perfect fit as the American Recruiter, bringing a short but gripping and impactful ending to the story." Following the final round of games, the Front Man (Lee Byung-hu) finds himself in a car in Downtown Los Angeles. While stopped at a light, he hears some familiar sounds of two ddakji tiles hitting ground, followed by a sharp slap. He rolls down the window to see a suited Cate Blanchett playing ddakji with a man. Blanchett looks up and exchanges a knowing glance with the Front Man, before the car pulls away. "During the shoot, she reminded me of what true talent looks like. Even with just a few looks and lines, her performance was mesmerizing," Hwang added. "She was amazing at playing ddakji. I believe she successfully flipped the ddakji with her first try, and we were able to get that one long take right away." Last year, it was reported that director David Fincher, who is behind Netflix's House of Cards, was working on an American version of Squid Game. Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk also confirmed to TheWrap: "Season three is not going to be the end of the Squid Game universe" and Lee Jung-jae, who portrays Seong Gi-hun, expressed his excitement over Fincher's adaption, telling Complex: "I'm looking forward to it so much, I can't wait to see it and I have high expectations." Well if Cate's in it, we're sold!

Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The Boogeyman, one of the most unique and horrifying characters in WWE history, wants to make a return to the company. In a recent social media post, the worm-eating superstar directly called on WWE's Chief Content Officer, Triple H, to give him one last run. On July 2nd, the man behind the persona, Martin Wright, took to X to make his plea. His post has ignited discussion among fans about a potential comeback for the legendary character. The Boogeyman's Pitch To Triple H In his social media post, The Boogeyman was direct and to the point. He shared a graphic of himself and tagged the WWE executive in his message. "Put me in the game Triple H..#WWELEGEND BOOGEYMAN," he wrote. While Wright is over 60 years old and a full-time, in-ring return is unlikely, his enduring popularity and unique character make a special appearance a definite possibility. The Horrifying History Of The Boogeyman The Boogeyman character first appeared on WWE programming in 2005. He was originally a contestant on the 2004 season of Tough Enough but was disqualified after admitting he lied about his age to meet the show's requirements. During his main run from 2005 to 2009, The Boogeyman was involved in several unforgettable feuds. His most famous rivalry was with Booker T and Queen Sharmell, which saw him stalk the royal couple for months. This feud included a famous moment where he "ate" a large mole off of Sharmell's face and culminated in a victory for The Boogeyman at WrestleMania 22.
