What would it take Marseille to sell Mason Greenwood?
However, RMC Sport now reports that it would take Marseille receiving a huge financial offer, one that a club of their size could not simply refuse, to sell the former Manchester United player. With this in mind, they are instead looking to find recruits to complement his skillset, in particular a left-winger, following the departure of Luis Henrique (23) to Internazionale Milan.

The French outlet writes that in the end-of-season review between the shareholders, club executives, and head coach, the desire to keep hold of key players (such as Greenwood, Adrien Rabiot, and Leonardo Balerdi) was one of the topics discussed, and that De Zerbi is counting on his club building around these players.
Greenwood joined Marseille from Manchester United last summer. The striker was charged in 2022 with attempted rape, controlling and coercive behaviour, and assault. Those charges were dropped in 2023 due to the withdrawal of key witness evidence and testimony.

PSG centre-back Lucas Beraldo hands in transfer request
PSG centre-back Lucas Beraldo (21) has handed in a transfer request to the Ligue 1 side's executives during the Club World Cup tournament, according to a report from L'Equipe. The Brazil international wants to increase his playing time and prove his worth elsewhere. Beraldo joined PSG from São Paulo eighteen months ago in a €20m deal. The centre-back is reportedly happy in Paris and grateful to flourish in an environment as competitive as PSG's. But Beraldo is aware he is seen as a backup player to be called upon when one of the two starting centre-backs is unavailable. Beraldo started Sunday's Club World Cup final in the absence of Willian Pacho, and he struggled badly to contain Cole Palmer and João Pedro. But the manner in which he filled in for Marquinhos in the Champions League quarter-finals against Aston Villa fuelled his confidence in his ability to belong at the highest level. And with the 2026 World Cup looming in less than a year, the Brazil international is reportedly ready to take a leap of faith. Advertisement PSG have been surprised by Beraldo's transfer request. But given the Champions League winners intend to build on with players fully committed to Luis Enrique's project, PSG have agreed in principle to part ways with him under certain conditions. Those conditions are the signing of PSG's primary target at the back – Bournemouth's Illya Zabarnyi – and for Beraldo to command a sizable transfer fee, probably above the €30m mark. Prisoner Serving Multiple Sentences Escapes Jail by Hiding in Fellow Cellmate's Luggage as He's Released
A man escaped from prison as his cellmate was being released by hiding in his bag — and officials are still searching for him According to a French prison administration official, the 20-year-old man serving multiple sentences climbed into his cellmate's laundry bag as he was being released at the end of his sentence Officials believe the man escaped on Friday, July 11, and prison officials only noticed the following morningA man escaped from prison as his cellmate was being released by hiding in his bag — and officials are still searching for him. According to reports from CNN, the BBC and CBS News, Sébastien Cauwel, the director of France's prison administration, told local outlet BFMTV on Sunday, July 13, that the man "took advantage" of his cellmate's release from the Corbas prison, located near the southeastern French city of Lyon. Prison officials believe the man — a 20-year-old who was serving multiple sentences — escaped on Friday, July 11, and they only noticed that he was gone the following morning, Cauwel said. BFMTV reported that the man's cellmate had completed his sentence and was leaving the prison when the escapee got inside his laundry bag. "This is an extremely rare event that we have never seen in this administration and which clearly shows a whole series of serious failures," Cauwel said, calling the incident an "accumulation of errors." Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported that the man was also under investigation in a case connected to organized crime, and local investigators were looking into his escape as "part of an organized gang and criminal conspiracy," per the BBC. Last month, the Lyon Bar Association raised concerns about overcrowding at the Lyon-Corbas prison, the BBC reported, and Cauwel said that the prison currently has an occupancy rate of 170%. "That makes the working conditions of our officers more complicated," Cauwel said. Back in May, BFMTV reported that about 1,200 people were detained in the prison, which has a capacity for 678 inmates. Want to keep up with the latest crime coverage? CNN reported that a similar incident took place last year, when another French prisoner escaped after armed men ambushed a prison convoy transporting him to a jail in Normandy. Reuters reported at the time that the escapee, Mohamed Amra — who has been nicknamed "The Fly" — was arrested again in Romania in February 2025. Read the original article on People
