TVLine can exclusively reveal that Emmy winner Jane Lynch (Glee) will recur in the seventh and final season of the ABC comedy. In the March 26 premiere, 'Jackie stumbles upon an opportunity to sue the pharmaceutical company responsible for Roseanne's addiction, which sparks a family debate,' according to the official logline. That tees up Lynch's introduction as the family's attorney in Episode 2 (airing Wednesday, April 2 at 8/7c).

She'll appear in two episodes as Jean, 'a seedy lawyer in a cheap suit,' per the official character breakdown. 'The Conners hire her to help them sue the pharmaceutical company responsible for Roseanne's death. Only problem is she might have a bit of a drinking problem.'
Lynch is one of several big-name gets featured in the exclusive promo above. TVLine was first to report that Young Sheldon's Zoe Perry — Laurie Metcalf's real-life daughter — will appear in two Season 7 episodes as a cop who gives Jackie a hard time about considering rejoining the police force at her age. Meanwhile, Buffy vet Seth Green will appear in three episodes as Chad, Darlene's new friend who is going through a separation from his wife. Together, they bond over their similar sense of humor.
'They're closer in personality than she is to David or Ben,' executive producer Dave Caplan tells TVLine. 'They're both kind of dark, kind of snarky, kind of cynical.' Adds fellow EP Bruce Helford: 'As opposed to being opposites, they're very, very similar.'

'Ted Lasso' Season 4 first look revealed as filming begins in Kansas City
Ready to "believe" again? Apple TV+ has released a first look photo from the upcoming fourth season of "Ted Lasso," which has officially started production in Kansas City. Filming is also set to take place in London, the streamer said. The photo shows Jason Sudeikis' titular soccer coach seated at a restaurant alongside his old colleagues Leslie Higgins (Jeremy Swift), Rebecca Welton (Hannah Waddingham) and Keeley Jones (Juno Temple). Brett Goldstein's Roy Kent and Brendan Hunt's Coach Beard aren't pictured in the image, but both characters are also returning for the new episodes, Apple has confirmed. Goldstein and Hunt are also producers on the new season. Several supporting characters from the first three seasons of "Lasso," including Nick Mohammed's Nate and Phil Dunster's Jamie Tartt, have not been announced as part of the Season 4 cast. The glimpse at Season 4 comes more than two years after the Emmy-winning soccer comedy aired what appeared to be its final episode in May 2023. The show's first three seasons followed college football coach Ted as he is recruited from Kansas to coach a British soccer team, AFC Richmond. By the end of Season 3, Ted said goodbye to the team and moved back home to the U.S. to be with his son, Henry (Gus Turner). Sudeikis and his fellow "Lasso" producers had said in interviews that a three-season arc was planned from the start of the series. But despite the finality of the Season 3 finale, which also tied up many stories for the supporting characters, Apple never explicitly confirmed that it was the end of "Lasso." After years of fan and media speculation that the show could continue in some form, a fourth season was officially announced in March of this year. 'Ted Lasso' fans can believe it: The show is back for a Season 4, with Ted coaching women In Season 4, "Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women's football team," Apple's plot synopsis says, using the British word for soccer. Sudeikis teased in a March statement that "as we all continue to live in a world where so many factors have conditioned us to 'look before we leap," in Season 4 "the folks at AFC Richmond learn to LEAP BEFORE THEY LOOK, discovering that wherever they land, it's exactly where they're meant to be." Speaking to USA TODAY in April, Goldstein said he "cried and we had such an emotional goodbye" at the end of Season 3 of "Lasso," but "I do think a part of me thought this wasn't the end." Papa Jake, WWII veteran turned TikTok star, dies at 102, granddaughter says
Jake Larson, the 102-year-old veteran who garnered over a million followers online as "Papa Jake," died over the weekend, his family confirmed. "Our beloved Papa Jake has passed away on July 17th at 102 years young," McKaela Larson, Papa Jake's granddaughter, wrote in a post on his TikTok. "Please know, he went peacefully and was even cracking jokes til the very end." Papa Jake, who recently won an Emmy for his interview with journalist Christiane Amanpour, was a D-Day veteran who shared his stories on TikTok to his 1.2 million followers. "When the time is right, I will continue to share Papa Jake's stories and keep his memory alive, " McKaela Larson stated. "We appreciate all the kind words and posts. As Papa would say, love you all the mostest." Who was Papa Jake? Jake Larson, known as Papa Jake, was a TikToker and veteran who turned 102 in December, according to his posts. His account used the handle @storytimewithpapajake. Larson shared stories on social media of his time in the army during World War II. In a video posted to TikTok, the veteran stated that he was 21 years old when he landed on Omaha Beach on D-Day. He said he knew about where the armed forces were landing during D-Day because he worked on the top-secret invasion. "The highest form of secrecy you could get," Larson said. "What an honor for a county boy." He also shared special moments with his family, like when he walked his granddaughter, McKaela, down the aisle in February. "At 102 years old, I am blessed to be able to walk my Granddaughter McKaela down the aisle," he wrote in the post on TikTok. His videos garnered over 11 million likes, and he reached over a million followers in 2025. His family has asked for privacy while they grieve and "process this loss."
