Beyoncé 'giving away free tickets' to Cowboy Carter tour after defying critics
Cowboy Carter star, Beyoncé, is giving away free tickets for her tour to those who are struggling financially, according to reports. The Destiny's Child star has silenced the critics claiming she had 'hundreds of unsold seats' in the the capital as she wowed crowds with her shows last week, which fans have branded 'flawless' and 'show-stopping'.
Tickets for the shows, which take place in the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, are not cheap, with many of the BeyHive shelling out more than £100 to catch a glimpse of the Dangerously In Love star. However, Beyoncé, 43 is now reportedly giving away free tickets to several low-income families in the capital, who have been offered the chance to see the show by food banks.
The Sun reports that the community services, which provide free food and essential items to individuals and families in need, could be offering families a surprise chance to see the star in action after the ticket cost outpriced many from being able to attend the glittering gigs.
Beyoncés fans were shocked at the cost when tickets went on sale in February. The tour had the highest top-priced ticket of any artist performing in the UK this year, at £950.
Promoters then slashed prices in the build-up, leaving thousands angry over the fortune they spent. In the fan presale, certain tickets were priced at £620, but have since been available for £141.60.
However, according to critics, the shows are well worth seeing as they hailed the singer's performance as 'exceptional'. Beyoncé took London by storm with the launch of her Cowboy Carter tour last week. The seasoned star kicked off the series of six electrifying performances at the north of the city - and the reviews are in.
Following her first show on Thursday (June 5), critics have showered the superstar with praise, with The Mirror awarding the Single Ladies singer a dazzling five stars, hailing her as being in 'top form.'
Our reviewer wrote: 'From flawless vocals and choreography and a seamless blend of bold stunts and spectacular visuals. In one section, the Texas native climbs on top of a gold-plated bucking mechanical bull as she gyrates and gets thrown from side to side without missing a note."
Meanwhile, Wales Online lauded the show for its 'intense dance routines, emotional moments, nine quick changes and a flying car,' adding: 'Beyonce's Cowboy Carter is likely the most complete performance at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this season."
However, not all feedback was glowing as some suggested Beyoncé leaned too heavily on her stage production.
One ticketholder said: "Ultimately it's left to a few show-stopping stadium gimmicks to make the evening: Bey flying over the crowd on a neon horseshoe on a thumping Jolene, or in a classic American car for 16 Carriages."
Beyoncé is performing in London for four more shows, including tonight, 12, 14, and 16 June.

Britain's Got Talent judge Bruno Tonioli quits after 2 years
Bruno Tonioli, who was formerly a judge on Strictly Come Dancing, has stepped away from the role on BGT due to other filming commitments. Rapper KSI, who featured as a guest judge on this year's series, is in talks to become Bruno's permanent replacement, according to The Sun. A show insider told The Sun: 'Bruno has officially quit Britain's Got Talent and they are hoping that KSI will replace him. "He absolutely loved being on the panel with Simon, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden but Bruno just can't juggle his schedule with filming. There is no bad blood and Bruno is leaving with a smile on his face.' Bruno's ongoing commitments include US dance competition Dancing With The Stars. Earlier this week, rumours had circulated about Bruno quitting the show as a source said: "The filming schedule in 2024 meant that Bruno could get away with not being present for filming one week of auditions." "But it would be virtually impossible for him to miss two weeks, because in the final edit, that equates to half the episodes in the new three-month run of BGT, which will air from February of 2026." The 69-year-old joined the judging panel in 2023 alongside Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon, following David Walliams' departure. Who is KSI? Newcomer KSI, born Olajide 'JJ' Olatunji, is an internet personality, musician and boxer. Recommended Reading: From Watford, he found his fame on YouTube through his channel KSIOlajidebt, typically through the popular football video game FIFA. He has since ventured into music, with his last album All Over The Place, debuting at number one on the UK Album Charts in 2021. KSI proved to be a massive hit with viewers when he joined the panel for BGT's Blackpool auditions this year and went on to appear at the live semi-finals.

'Hot girl shoe of the summer' is 'terrifying' as shoppers call for them to be banned
The internet is divided over a pair of unique shoes that have gone viral recently - with many claiming they should be banned, while others gush over the comfiness Why wear heels when you can get a little weird with these funky shoes? Fashion trends come and go, but there is one certain item people are hoping dies off instantly. The divisive FiveFinger shoes by Vibram have become the 'hot girl shoe of the summer' - amid calls for them to be "banned". The classic ballet slipper has had a spin on it, and ultimately looking like gloves for your feet, there's a space for every toe and are designed for those who live a barefoot lifestyle. However, they have made their way into the mainstream shoe space, with many people spotted wearing them day-to-day on the tube, out shopping, running errands or even in the office. While fashion is subjective, it seems the majority of people can't get onboard with the shoes despite fashion girlies assuring they're the shoe of the summer. Proud wearers claim they're the "comfiest shoes" and due to a surge in popularity, some people report they are struggling to get their hands on a pair due to being sold out. They aren't new though, and this isn't the first time they have gone viral. The brand started in 2006, and has had a cult celebrity following for nearly two decades with Scarlett Johansson and David Beckham being papped wearing them. In 2012, Shailene Woodley wore a pair to the Golden Globes after-party. The actress wore the shoes under her floor-length black velvet dress, which led many people to question the shoe choice. The design of the shoes is to mimic being barefoot, while still providing protection for the feet and are made with a thin flexible sole and a wide toe box to allow your toes to naturally spread - which is what happens if you live a barefoot lifestyle. There's a growing cohort of FiveFingers Fashion Girls including model Paloma Elsesser, rapper Doechii and The Attico co-founder, Gilda Ambrosio all embracing the fitness world 's most divisive shoe One proud Vibram wearer took to TikTok to share a clip of her shoes and said: "POV people are laughing at your freaky toe shoes," and captioned the post: "You wouldn't understand!!" But the post has caused a mixed opinion with one user commenting: "They'll be jealous when in 30 or so years they'll be stuck with permanent blisters and your feet will still be healthy. Another chimed: "My family laughs at me over my Vibrams but I love them." However others simply couldn't understand and one questioned the practicality and said: "Sooo what happens when you miss a step slightly and stub your toe?" A second penned: "I will judge you in my head for wearing these but I also admit its probably super comfortable and more ergonomic than the old sneakers I'm wearing."
