Rosé Makes Radio History In America Yet Again with 'Apt.'
Rosé's 'Apt.' continues its run in the U.S., tying Fifty Fifty's 'Cupid' as the ... More third-longest-running hit by any K-pop act on the Adult Contemporary chart. Rosé scored a real long-term win with 'Apt.,' which even she might not have expected when she first dropped the cut in 2024. The single remains a radio staple in the U.S., still performing exceptionally well on all three of Billboard's major pop-focused charts. While the track is starting to slow down on one list, it's holding steady near its peak on another — and it's sitting at its highest position ever on a third. It's not just where 'Apt.' ranks that matters, though, but how long it's lasted, and with each new frame, Rosé continues to make history.
'Apt.' has now spent 13 weeks on the Adult Contemporary chart, which measures the tunes that reach the largest total audience via adult contemporary radio stations in the U.S. That's one of the longest stays ever by any K-pop act, solo or otherwise. Rosé, who was born in New Zealand but launched her music career in South Korea as one-fourth of the global girl group Blackpink, has enjoyed huge success both with the band and on her own. While not all of her solo material fits squarely into the K-pop box, 'Apt.' showcases her bilingual skills, with lyrics in both English and Korean.
With 13 frames now to its credit, 'Apt.' ties Fifty Fifty's 'Cupid' as the third-longest-charting hit by a K-pop act on the Adult Contemporary ranking. 'Cupid' fell off the list after 13 weeks, but Rosé may soon pull ahead.
Currently, the all-time record for the longest-running K-pop songs belongs to BTS's 'Dynamite' and the septet's collaboration with Coldplay, 'My Universe.' Both tracks held on for 20 weeks — a high bar, sure, but not necessarily out of reach.
This week, 'Apt.' is a non-mover at No. 17 on the Adult Contemporary chart, just one rung below its all-time high. Given how slowly songs tend to move around on this specific ranking, there's a good chance the cut will stick around for at least another week, if not several more. It's highly likely Rosé will break her current tie with Fifty Fifty very soon, and if momentum holds, she may start creeping up on those BTS records.
'Apt.' has already reached the summit of the Pop Airplay chart, a major win for any K-pop artist. While the song slips this week from No. 7 to No. 11, dipping outside the top 10, a post-peak decline like that is fairly typical after such a high and following such a lengthy stay on the tally.
On the Adult Pop Airplay chart, Rosé's collaboration with Bruno Mars holds at No. 2 for another week. That's the track's all-time peak so far, and it stands a real shot at becoming the first No. 1 on that list by any K-pop musician. If 'Apt.' can hang on a little longer, it might just help Rosé make even more history.

Olivia Rodrigo & Ed Sheeran Perform ‘The A Team' in Surprise London Duet
Olivia Rodrigo welcomed Ed Sheeran to her stage for a surprise duet of 'The A Team' in London on Friday night (June 27). Together the two pop hitmakers, guitars in hand, strummed and sang Sheeran's debut single for the U.K. crowd at Hyde Park's BST (British Summer Time) concert series, where Rodrigo was performing ahead of a headlining slot at Glastonbury later this weekend. Post-show, Sheeran shared footage of the moment on Instagram. The performance video shows the two musicians harmonizing on the chorus of 'The A Team.' 'Both albums are no skips for me, I'm a proper fan. We first met at the rock and roll hall of fame back in 2022, sat next to each other with her mum and my dad and went on to hang and keep in touch from there.' Of his Friday night plans, Sheeran said, 'Was gonna go watch the show anyway but she hit me and asked to sing The A Team with her, which was such a buzz. That song turns 15 this year, and I remember playing it to rooms with no one in it in 2010, so to still be playing it to new fans with one of the brightest stars of the next generation is an honour and a privilege. Also spotted at Rodrigo's Friday gig was a smiling Sabrina Carpenter who enjoyed the show from the balcony, as seen in photos published by the Daily Mail. 'The A Team,' first released in 2011, was Sheeran's first song to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 16 in 2012. Following Rodrigo's concert, on Saturday Sheeran posted another treat for fans on TikTok: a short mashup of his 'Perfect' with Rodrigo's 'Happier,' sung together. Sheeran previously praised Rodrigo's 2021 breakthrough hit, 'Drivers License,' as a flawless debut single, and noted both her debut and sophomore full-length albums, Sour and Guts, are 'unskippable… it's just, as a record, just a great record.' Parents Share The Most Embarrassing Things Their Kids Have Said
Recently, Reddit user FarmhouseRules posted to the popular ask subreddit to ask people, "What's the most embarrassing thing your kids have ever said or done?" She shared her own story first, writing, "Once I was shopping at the grocery with my 5-year-old son in the cart. As we were going down the aisle we passed a woman going the other way. Right after we passed her, my son said, 'Mom that's the ugliest man I've ever seen.' I was mortified." Other people shared some pretty legendarily embarrassing stories, too, and I was honestly cackling. Here are some of the absolute best: "I was at checkout in K-Mart with my then 5-year-old daughter. I was buying her purple marshmallow Peeps. She told the cashier that purple was her favorite color. I said she had a new favorite color every week. This embarrassed my daughter, who said loudly, 'Mom, you have a new favorite boyfriend every week!'" "'MY MOM LOVES COCK PORN.' (He meant popcorn.)" "My wife, my son, and I were at Disneyland. My son was 3 at this point. He had finished potty training just a few weeks prior to this. During potty training, we would use positive reinforcement, elling him that he was doing a good job, etc. etc. One of the things I told him was that he was pooping Iike a man now." "My 2-year-old son and I were in line at Kohl's and the woman behind me had vitiligo (a condition that causes the pigment in your skin to discolor, completely resulting in very blotchy skin). My son looked at her and gasped and said, 'Oh wow, I LOVE your polka dots!'" "We were at the zoo when my son was probably 5 or 6. He had run ahead to look at the zebras. He turned around and screamed, 'Mom, you won't believe how big this zebra's dick is!' I deeply considered walking past him with no acknowledgment." "Took my 3-year-old in to work with me on a Saturday when the office was closed. My coworker was there. I introduced him to my daughter. She recognized his name from me always complaining about him, looked him in the eye, and asked him, 'Are you the one who doesn't know what he is doing?'" "We were on a trail in the Smoky Mountains and a park ranger with an eye patch was talking to us about bears. Right when we finished the conversation and started walking away, my son said, 'Mommy, we just talked to a pirate!'" "Not my kid, but it was said to me. I was riding the elevator up to the OB/GYN floor with a very pregnant woman and her about 3-year-old son. He looked at my belly and excitedly asked if I was going to have a baby, too. His mother was 14 shades of red with nowhere to hide! I told him no, I was just fat. He gave me a sad face and said, 'Well, next year.'" "When my oldest was about a year and a half old in the grocery store, he pointed to a baby and said 'ugly baby' clear as day and very loud." "My son told my daughter that her penis fell off and that's why he was a boy and she was a girl. She was upset for weeks." "When my son was little, we took him to mass with us. When the priest was consecrating the communion wafer, my son loudly and clearly said, 'Hey, I want one of those potato chips!'" "My son, bless his heart, waited until everyone had bowed their heads to pray but before the priest started the prayer, and in that moment of blessed silence, piped up 'I gotta poop!' as loud as he could." "I was waiting in the crowd for my number to be called at the deli counter with my 5-year-old. It was National Dairy Month, and the grocery store had a huge inflatable cow suspended from the ceiling above us. My daughter looked up and announced at the top of her lungs, 'Look, Mom, that cow has four penises!' The crowd roared." "My daughter announced to her whole class that girls get brains and boys get a penis. That was a whole parent/teacher conference." "I was the mortifying kid: in the middle of a Catholic mass, during one of the silent parts, I looked up at a man next to us. I looked back at my mom and loudly said, 'Mom, why does his forehead go back so far?'" "We were at my grandfather's funeral with my then 3-year-old son. We had told him that great-grandpa was really old and that's why he died. We met my grandparents' neighbor, who I knew growing up, and she is about 90. When she walked away, my son said, 'She's really nice. It's too bad she'll be dead soon.'" "When my son was 3, we lived in a pretty rough neighborhood. His favorite thing was just riding his tricycle up and down the sidewalk, completely safe. One day I heard him greeting people in the manner that people greeted him when they walked by. He said, 'Hey, motherfucker!'" "Around Thanksgiving, we walked past a very old woman and the 5-year-old stopped to ask her about conditions on the Mayflower." "This is about me at 5 years old in 1975. My mom used to tell this story. My dad at that time liked to listen to Deanna Durbin records on the living room stereo. Her picture was on the fronts of the albums, and he liked to tell me he was listening to his 'girlfriend' singing." "My kid was 5-ish and had started calling hot dogs weiners. At the grocery store, she said, very loudly, 'Mommy likes wieners!'" "Our oldest was about 3, my wife was pregnant with our second, and we were at dinner with friends who had a toddler in a high chair. Said toddler had food everywhere!" "About 20 years ago when our son was 2, we were having a small dinner party with friends at our home, and he went into our bedroom closet and found one of my wife's (adult) toys. He came running into the living room and started banging it against the coffee table." "My kid, at 4, could burp like a truck driver. Sitting in a restaurant, she let out this massive burp, dove under the table to hide, and 25 strangers turned around to stare at me with mild disgust." And finally, "My lovely 3-year-old likes to yell 'HELP ME!!!' at the top of her lungs when she doesn't get her way, and she tends to not get her way and yell that in grocery stores and other public places." Okay, IDK about you, but I'm laughing my ass off at some of these. Tell me what you think in the comments below; or, even better, divulge your own embarrassing kid stories! Friday Music Guide: New Music From Lorde, Alex Warren & ROSÉ, KATSEYE and More
Billboard's Friday Music Guide serves as a handy guide to this Friday's most essential releases — the key music that everyone will be talking about today, and that will be dominating playlists this weekend and beyond. This week, Lorde reinvents herself, Alex Warren brings ROSÉ into his sonic world, and KATSEYE continue a 'Gnarly' run of success. Check out all of this week's picks below: More from Billboard Adrian Quesada's Psychedelic Journey: How the Black Pumas Co-Founder Delved Into Latin America's Romantic Past LL Cool J Gives Fans an NYC Rap History Crash Course in 'Hip Hop Was Born Here' Trailer Teddy Swims Welcomes His First Child With Girlfriend Raiche Wright: 'We Love You Lil Man' Lorde, The promotional campaign for Lorde's long-awaited fourth album has involved tales of a bitter breakup and body dysmorphia, creeping feelings of stage fright and questions about her gender identity. Instead of retreating from the intimate pressure points and personal changes that have defined her mid-twenties, she poured them into a new album, and is now hoisting them up for the world to see. One listen to Lorde's Virgin confirms that it is by far the bravest album of her career. Read the full review of Lorde's new album. Alex Warren & ROSÉ, 'On My Mind' A No. 1 smash will often result in some interesting phone calls about potential collaborations, and after Alex Warren followed up his enormous hit 'Ordinary' with the Jelly Roll team-up 'Bloodline,' ROSÉ has now hopped on the latest single from his upcoming album You'll Be Alright, Kid, with the BLACKPINK star holding her own amidst the horns and kick drum on the somber, likable folk-pop sing-along. KATSEYE, More pop songs should sound as audacious as 'Gnarly,' KATSEYE's off-the-wall breakthrough single that leads off their new five-song EP — and while that hyperpop sledgehammer sets up a slightly more subdued project, the girl group scores with slinky pop harmonies ('Gameboy'), dance balladry ('Mean Girls') and a smart twist on the anthemic 'Gnarly' sound to close things out ('M.I.A'). Lizzo, Although Lizzo has released a handful of pop-leaning singles so far in 2025, My Face Hurts From Smiling features none of them — instead, the surprise mixtape is a full-throated foray into rap music, designed to let her have a blast on tracks alongside SZA and Doja Cat and further regain her mojo before a presumably more mainstream-focused new album. Don Toliver, 'FWU' Don Toliver's helium-coated voice joins forces with Mustard's hard-clapping production on 'FWU,' a new single that serves as Toliver's first solo single of the year and boosts his momentum without high stakes — 'FWU' rolls along ceaselessly and purposefully, meant to be played loud and more than twice. Various Artists, On the same day that the Brad Pitt racing drama zooms into theaters, the full F1 album is unveiled as the most star-studded soundtrack of the year, with previously released tracks by Don Toliver and Doja Cat, Tate McRae, Ed Sheeran and ROSÉ complemented by new offerings from Burna Boy, RAYE, Madison Beer and more — just be sure to save time for Peggy Gou's bright, shuffling 'D.A.N.C.E' in the back half. Barbra Streisand, Barbra Streisand's elegant sequel to her 2014 duets album Partners succeeds due to its smart guest list: while legends like Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan and James Taylor swing by to sing and pay homage, the appearance of artists like Hozier and Laufey nicely shake up the sound, and the Babs-Mariah Carey-Ariana Grande summit 'One Heart, One Voice' lives up to its high-powered pedigree. Editor's Pick: Blood Orange, 'The Field' On the same day that a major new pop release that Dev Hyne contributed to, Lorde's Virgin, is unveiled, indie fans can be equally enthralled by the first song in three years from his Blood Orange project: 'The Field' — which melds the voices of Caroline Polachek, Daniel Caesar and others with Hynes' own — is hauntingly gorgeous, a hymn-like variation on Blood Orange's danceable pop-R&B that hopefully previews more to come from the studio master.
